Great episode, I am a healthy 21 year old, Covid put me nearly in the hospita with 3 broken ribs from coughing and inflamation of the lungs. People i meet don’t know things like this is possible for children/teens... I am hoping for the best for all students returning to school... A true hell world

Oh cool. I was disappointed when she left Twitter.

Thanks for the interview! I hope you all have Lily on the show again soon!

Did Lily already delete her Twitter between posting this and now, less than 24 hours later?

The reason John Hume got his Nobel Peace Prize is for his role in the Irish Peace Process in the 1990s, a role which he was absolutely pilloried for by the right-wing media in the UK and Ireland alike.

Hungarian water polo reminded me of the “Blood in the Water Match”

Jordan B. Peterson upped his dose of Benzos when his wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and wound up comatose in a clinic outside of Moscow after contracting pneumonia in the Canadian hospital treating him for Akathisia and other benzo complications. This is the interview he gave to his daughter about the experience (while in Serbia, presumably before getting Covid), in case anyone need to remind themselves of the old war nerd proverb "it can always get worse". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzRbEMzr0k8

This is extremely informative, I knew virtually nothing about Serbian politics! Which is a bad thing, especially since the US intervened there so recently. Also, this is kind of random, but - she has a really nice laugh.

Forgot about that one. The Hungarian kid in my high school used to tell me about what went on in the vicious water polo games against rival schools. They don't get cups to protect from the pain of pains they inflict on each other.

Off-topic but it would be awesome to have an episode on the Barbary wars of the 19th century fought between the United States, Sweden, and the Barbary states.

radiowarnerd

Good idea! Especially since Sweden was involved. That's news to me!

Was that the Hungary/USSR match after the 1956 Revolution? One of my advisors was a water polo player and said the best thing about it is that most of you is underwater so the refs can't see what you're doing.

Benjamin Cheney

Yes it was. Mayhem in Melbourne, in the pool and in the stands. Having only witnessed water polo because it was pretty big at my college, that is entirely accurate. It’s Aquatic Thunderdome
