Usually enjoy your podcast but this left me confused. Clinton would have ramped up the pressure on Russia in Syria and Eastern Europe but is sane enough not to start a direct confrontation. Trump, as you acknowledge, is unpredictable and is dredging up the worst of the worst for his advisors. Your "logic" seems to be similar to the trump voters- go with the devil you don't know cause hey maybe it will turn out ok. Furthermore, the risk of fascism is real- given his 60 minutes interview and the hiring of Bannon, a clear signal has been sent that he is going to give his supporters what they want. And when his economic policies lead us into recession, what do you expect him to do? Back off or double down? I would prefer to hear an episode on historic comparisons and potential strategies for defeating a very real threat to our democracy.

The same asshole billionaires that destroyed my state just took the whole country with 25% of the electorate. David Clarke's Milwaukee County Jail just tortured an untried prisoner to death by denying him water for 4 days straight. The Bradley Foundation is a huge vector for the new "race realism" of Bannon, Charles Murray & Dinesh DeSouza. They have incessantly attacked public education, unions, denied Medicaid, & ended food programs. Really disappointed in you Mark... Really — I guess you just care about certain oligarchs.

I see Trump as an experiment, if he can't change things in washington no one ever will ! He's the perfect change candidate, no one will be less beholden to special interest than he is and he wants a non interventionist foreign policy. If none of that happen's it simply cna't be done in the current system.

I've seen replies from the creators of Radio War Nerd to these posts and I think that this comment deserves a response. I am genuinely interested in hearing from you because I respect your knowledge and perspective but don't understand your commentary on this particular issue.

He's the perfect change candidate? A hypernationalist reactionary "traitor to his class" is a perfect change candidate? This isn't dungeons & dragons, these are real flesh & blood people with families here. Vlahos and the other pricks & prickettes in the District have an idea that the only people who are terrified are the fucking wine-track. I live in the once-great-state of Wisconsin & our state has been ruined by kleptocracy in the guise of free market libertarianism. If yr a dual-national like me, a union member like me, a socialist like me — we're all terrified — I can't stand Clinton, but at least she doesn't want to destroy me like the Trump & the Wisconsin GOP. I'm terrified & I'm white & working class. My comrades who are new immigrants — Rohingya, Afghans, Hondurans, Karen, and so on are terrified. My comrades & loved ones who are unauthorized residents are terrified. My comrades who are poor and working class are terrified — especially those who have family members on Obamacare for drug dependency treatment or will likely have their reproductive rights stripped. You can scoff and say I'm being hysterical & irrational... I'm not. You have the luxury of living in a country that doesn't punish the poor & their children for being poor and mercilessly exploit everyone else. In my county, Milwaukee County, a man was tortured to death in jail while awaiting trial. He was denied water for 5 straight days despite begging and begging for it and he died of dehydration. He shot up a casino, that's what he did. And the man who is responsible for that is likely to have a high position in federal law enforcement — David Clarke. The man's a drunk, a fascist, and the most hateful man to wear a badge. I beg you, Adrian... Please talk to Americans who actually live in this country instead of the ones who just think they do. This is not a game and it's beyond offensive for you to treat it like that. ***** When I say "terrified" u better believe that we won't let anybody down, we've had success stopping fascists in the past we will stop the GOP today.

I appreciate your response in the podcast this week and was feeling stupid for what seemed like a coarse characterization of your comments and for putting "logic" in quotes. Then you followed up "Bush wasn't a wild card" with "At least there is
