NOOOOOO, not Ryan DNC POS Grim!!!! This guy is a total fake leftist, Oligarch blow job artist, Democratic party Schill. Check who owns the Intercept. I stopped giving money to Chapo when they had this scumbag on to promote his Squad puff piece book. As a Railroader for 30 plus years I will never forgive this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdxUph85NlA&t=61s&ab_channel=BadFaith

William Nagel

The guy is a fifth columnist employed to destroy any burgeoning true left movement. FUCK him. C'mon RWN, you can do better!

a clash of purple

Did you even listen to the episode? And what 'burgeoning true left movement' are you talking about? I'm not aware of any such thing in America. A few people are going to toss protest votes at Cornel West for POTUS, and probably continue to vote Democrat most of the time, or else not vote. That's it. There's no massive general strike or revolutionary movement in the works. Give me a break. If Grim says things that aren't true, I want to know about it, but dismissing him (or RWN) just because he has done bad things in the past makes no sense. At least listen to the episode and point out the specific lies he tells or whatever.

William Nagel

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Guessing you are another clueless PMC grifter. Ever been in a union?

Ivan Lopez

Pakistan zindabad! I randomly found a music video from the Pakistani armed forces public relations department. It’s a banger. The only memorable us army propaganda ad I can remember is the marines fighting the giant lava monster from the 90s https://youtu.be/MjxGwfa5lxw?si=I611BBTRFqU0W014

William Nagel

"a clash of purple" shows to be NOT supporting any Patreon creators. How were you able to listen?

Amazing episode. Think what you will about Khan, but thanks to the US and Pakistani army, he’s now a martyr for democracy. I feel pride for the Pakistani people and, if nothing else, schadenfreude for another bungled Biden intervention (and a hilarious, thrilling disaster for the Pakistani “deep state.”) Kudos to Ryan Grim and RWN for speaking truth in spite of the waves of propaganda bullshit.

SHEEBCORE

damn Ryan is looking pretty haggard in this episode photo

SHEEBCORE

I was willing to entertain the critique until I saw Bad Faith 🤮 C'mon man it's literally in the name lol

SHEEBCORE

Briahna Joy Grey said despicable shit about Michael Brooks after he died and sucked as Bernie's Comms Advisor. Plus her old co-host is a certified groomer.

William Nagel

? Obviously didn't watch. Has nothing to do with BJG, everything to do with Ryan Grim. The guy is on the video literally defending the grifter Squad's strike breaking.

William Nagel

Or should I say hello "Ryan"? CIA much?

Horseloverfat

The CIA has infiltrated the Patreon comments section to fight with you over a podcast episode. Say that a few times to yourself like a mantra and see if it maybe puts things into perspective

William Nagel

Hi Adam! I see your not supporting any patreon creators either.........

Eli Burnes

I don’t know if Mark and John have seen it, but Someone found Syrsky’s mom reposting Zhirinovsky memes on VK.

George P

There’s a setting that hides what creators you support. Calm down, my dude.

William Nagel

Hi George! How are ya? Living your best life? Tough to do for a whole lot of people these days.

Horseloverfat

I support like 12 podcast I’m just on private dumbass

William Nagel

Hello Adam! Thx for calling me a dumbass. Maybe I will as smart as you someday and can only aspire to possess such a scintilating vocabulary.

William Nagel

P. S. Even someone as mentally challenged as myself is still able to discern the duplicitous evil of a Ryan Grim.

Joe Bowden

Omg Ryan’s description of cricket is so funny😂😂 As a big cricket fan I will give some more details, he won the only cricket World Cup for Pakistan as a captain, the captain in cricket is really important, he decides who bowls (pitches…), where all the fielders are, tactics, batting lineup, onfield reviews etc. The Pakistan World Cup winning team is iconic and people in the subcontinent are crazy about cricket on a scale that I don’t think people in America can understand. International sports will always be more important than whether Kansas city win another Super Bowl… Or if Man City win another premier league just to prove I’m not rabidly anti-American 😂

William

An insular gerentocracy who runs the country to enrich themselves, massively miscalculates their political moves because of they’re too far removed from reality, or what the populace thinks? What is… every western nation?

William

Imagine having critical thinking skills that allow you to judge the veracity of what someone’s telling you. Or, imagine having the ability to hit the pause button and stop listening

Horseloverfat

Look, I’ll quit it with this if you admit that it might be an overreaction to call everyone with a mildly different opinion in the podcast comments a CIA asset because they have their supported podcasts on private

William Nagel

Was actually hoping it was actually Grim jumping into the chat. Truly was trying to get him to bite. He will never be forgotten by my union brothers and sisters. Peace.

Great interview!

drewb

cricket is a hell of a drug

William

I think that’s Khan

Arielle Curtin

Time for Syrsky to feed the rest of Azov into the Adveevka meat grinder. Accomplish the Russian goals of denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine. Great seeing Zaluzhny posing with Azov commander against red&black flag as an unveiled threat to Zel.

Sean Atkinson

Absolutely, anyone that has followed "The Intercept" from day one can plainly see it was a buyout operation to get Snowden's payload back. Hiring this tool just made it official. And RWN plays along willingly with a lot of US govt cultural management. I mean, just look at their reaction to the Rusaian invasion. They went from covering Ukraine's devastation of eastern Ukraine seemingly honestly to pretending to be shocked and lining up with western ngo's and state department position. It was sickening. So yeah, I listen to them very carefully now.

William Nagel

Agree Sean, The BNE Intellinews owner they feature, Ben Aris, is extremely sketchy as well. Such a shame.

Sean Atkinson

oh my God at 24 minutes and 26 seconds he claims that the army was able to engineer a no confidence, boat, "with CIA support" no, buddy, that was led by the CIA and had Pakistani army support. It's so insidious how characters like this guy pose as truth tellers, while deliberately hide our role and responsibility, in plain sight.

Sean Atkinson

At 32:06 he finds a completely normal to describe the president of a foreign country as a servant of the state department, more specifically, a state department employee, whose parents were CIA operatives in Pakistan. When he equated Imran Khan being "reammed" to a dog being struck by a guy who comes home after having his manager yell at him, I thought I was gonna lose my marbles.

Adam Murphy

In that Chapo interview the dry boys make the point that the Squad's theory of power via the inside game is completely useless. It wasn't an endorsement.

Jason Thompson

Um?…. He literally says the US government pressured Pakistan to oust Khan, hardly seems like he’s letting the CIA get off easy…

Jason Thompson

First off, great interview. Second, you’re thinking of doing something based on the Shahnameh? That would be awesome!!! Though Dick Davis’ poetry-and-prose translation is so good, it’s hard to beat.

Jason Thompson

Dude, you yourself show up as not supporting any patreon creators

Jeremy

Really enjoyed this interview guys and just also wanted to say thanks for making such great content. Really makes those long drives across Ontario, Canada for work an absolute joy. Cheers!

qjkx

oh hell yeah this looks hype edit: did not disappoint

JoR

I feel like Brandon is either coaching the guests or editing their interviews. Because this was another great episode with little to no tangents (interesting or not). He covered a ton of topics in a very easy to understand way. And this is like the third guest in a row like this.

Sean Atkinson

Yes, contradicts himself later. Not a good defense.

Sean Atkinson

He already starts to lay the groundwork for acceptance of Israel's future apology "they will apologize and I think it will be accepted" WRONG

Sean Atkinson

You know that guy was SO GOOD to listen to right before the Russian military operation. He laid out the consequences of a conflict at fhe industrial level very clearly and thoroughly. His political/moral fundamental assumptions however are just anacronistic. Almost Victorian white supremacist.

etienne

the dark amb piece by Brendan at the end went hard

Doug Cartel

can you imagine how fucking obnxious all the war movies about ukraine are going to be

Alexander white

They're probably not going to make many, it will be forgotten

JoR

I'm not so sure. Yes the establishment is essentially abandoning Ukraine. But in the liberal media sphere, Ukraine really is their "world war two" moment. Especially if there's a an ugly defeat or betrayal from NATO, I can see Hollywood really embracing the topic a few years from now.

Ander Pierce

Not here to pile on and denigrate you, but if you are using stimulants or psychedelics, consider laying off for a bit. In addition to being extremely antagonistic to fellow commentors and podcast guests you're seeing CIA psy-ops in everyone who keeps their podcast subscriptions on private. That sort of paranoia and hostility isn't necessarily the result of drugs but it absolutely can be!

Ander Pierce

Grim stuff, I enjoyed the episode. "Trampling Pakistani democracy to preserve Ukrainian democracy"...weird world we live in for sure.

xnfec

Didn't Brezhinski say something to the effect that any number of dead Afghans were a price worth paying so that central europe could be free?

xnfec

Around the time when Gadaffi was being taken down I recall news articles saying that the Libyans had bought up industrial quantities of Viagra to fuel their sexual blitzkrieg. It seems to be a wartime PR tactic.

Henry Ermer

Does anyone know the Central Asian story Dolan may be talking about? I don't know anything about anything, there's like a Bactrian-Margiana snake man on seals but I feel like I'm way off

hence therefore

A new IT guy named Imran Khan started at my workplace on the same day as The Imran Khan got shot. Many cricket jokes ensued

Michael S. Judge

I believe it was something close to "What are a few thousand agitated Muslims compared to the liberation of Europe?" He has since received his answer

Shfifty_five

Ryan Grim is the king of limited hangout stories, where he leaves small but vital bits out. As editor at the Intercept he alienated almost every decent journalist and has written a bunch of anti-union stuff even recently. He has all the right major positions but he's kinda suspect. The guy was also a major Warren supporter in 2020. Worth having on though, he's had a ton of experience.
