I, Necromancer Chapter 28 (Patreon)

"Okay, but hear me out!" I insist, waving the large staff through the air, putting inspecting it any further aside for the moment.
"Geomancy is cool and all… But you need to pick the ground up, and move it aside." I articulate to the room, using an empty glass to show my point, "You're just making a bigger mess, or making trash that no one is gonna deal with. Trust me, I'm – was – a Human. We make tires and toss the bitches in a mound so to never deal with 'em."
Sirzechs slaps his palm down on the desk, making the empty glass jump, while he holds his own in his free hand, "But using the Power of Destruction to mine!? That's just… Humiliating!"
"Clean. Efficient. Quick. Creates no dust and no mess, 'cause you atomize it." I point out, and the Satan looks like he just started chewing on a lemon.
"B-but… For mining?! Really?!"
I blink at Sirzechs, and slowly point the Staff of Magi towards the distracted Ajuka, currently studying the Spell Book I recovered from the crippled Archlich I fought.
Sensing the eyes and hearing the silence, Ajuka lifts his interested and fascinated gaze from the pages of the book.
"Would you prefer he uses the Kankara Formula to disembowel the earth to draw the ores out?" I ask my question, and Sirzechs blanches.
The earthquakes, the ensuing land collapsing, sinkholes following, immense widespread destruction over every known area.
"B-But… My Family Clan Trait turned into a mining tool!?"
"Not your Family. Your Clan Trait is the Bael's."
Sirzechs pauses, eyes widening as he remembered that fact, then clicks his tongue, "Fuck." I snort as he pouts.
Then I perk up, "What even is the Gremory Clan Trait?" I ask, remembering how stories mentioned a 'Gremory Luck', but I believe that was mostly fanon due to how Rias happened upon each of her Peerage members at convenient times.
Sirzechs takes a sip from his drink before answering, "Divination." My eyes widen at that, "Though it is… Limited, far as I am told." He cups his chin, leaning back as if to bring back the memories, "Works only while you sleep, might not always work, and is always only related to the Gremory House. It can't Divine things for others."
Huh, so not as powerful as I had originally thought, but quite useful to help their House prosper. Perhaps that is why they are among the richest Houses in the Underworld.
A distant rumble that shakes the windows makes me perk up, and I look outside, towards the distant horizon. Flashes of sky-blue and deep blue lights cover the sky, and the scent of the sea sometimes carries over together with glacial waves of ice.
"How long have they been going at it?" Sirzechs asks, raising his arm to stare at his watch, "What… Four, five days?"
"A week." Ajuka answers distractedly, flipping through another page in the book, "They are both extremely tired, yet their power keeps increasing at an insane pace." His gaze finally rises, flicking towards the window, "Once they stop and have a proper rest, they'll likely have left Falbium far behind."
Damn, Devils really grow fast when it comes to strength. Zani and Tio have been going at it like crazy too, and I had to loan them one of my Healing Undead Priests to make sure they didn't drop dead.
Thanks to Mugen having assimilated all of the Archlich skills and me now consuming his Souls, we both have an immense arsenal of highly destructive Spells, though Mugen could unleash far greater power than me.
And thanks to Hades' blessing, I can now toy around with Souls and don't need to shove Souls into a corpse with useful skills and Spells to make them learn it. I just need to do it once, then I can… Copy that Soul and mass produce it, just without the power.
Thus, I copied the part of Mugen's Soul that had the Healing Spells from Rhapthorne and mass produced it to have an immense army of Undead Priests with busted Healing Spells. I've loaned some to Sirzechs and Ajuka for their own armies, and their group has been going crazy.
I've done the same with Earth Mages and the likes to create fortifications all over their fronts to speed up the building of their fortress, which is barely halfway done even with all the workers they have and have hired.
It was a massive project that Ajuka and Falbium worked on together, making for a nigh-impenetrable walking fortress. It'll be covered in so many Arrays and Formations that any attacker will beg for death when that monstrosity is activated.
"I just hope Serafall doesn't kill herself just for a distraction…" Sirzechs sigh, worry in his eyes. It wasn't a secret that Serafall had basically wiped Sona's memories and sent her away to the Human World, to act as a normal schoolgirl.
I nod, "I think this was the best outcome." Perhaps, the reason Sona refused to eat, move or sleep was because she had realized that what she did was wrong. Maybe she saw the way Serafall initially looked at her and it… Broke her. "Rias is with her right now, so she'll be fine."
Sirzechs nods, relaxing. His own family had moved to the Human World to stay with Sona until the Beast Tide was done, though Rias will likely join the battle as she and her Peerage have grown a lot more powerful.
Shaking away those thoughts, I focus back on the large staff in my hand. It was made of simple wood, but it reacted quite well with Mana and even empowered it when Spells flowed through it.
Its shaft was inscribed in dozens upon dozens of Runes, something done by the Archlich. A form of Magic that lets the Staff of Magi store immense amounts of Mana.
It can then be added to a Spell to massively empower it… Or to turn the staff into a literal nuke by breaking it.
I think I could improve it a lot, shove a potent Soul inside of it and modify it with Mana rich metals and crystals we've gathered and mined from all the Gates we've conquered so far.
A nice Scythe will be very welcome for a Necromancer. "So, how's the book?" I ask while taking a seat before Ajuka, his fingers flicking through another page.
"It is… Incredibly fascinating." He starts, tapping a page with one finger, "Each page holds a Spell with a breakdown of it that can let even a child learn the Spell within hours of practice. It also seems to go to bring up Spells of the type you want by simply thinking about it while holding it."
He shows that by making the pages flip to Fire Magic circles, then ice, then lightning, so on and so forth. "Aside from that, while it does instruct you, it also stores the Spells and Mana. You can launch the Spells out of the book directly, they just have a cooldown. Each page stores the needed Mana for Spell on it, so each page has its own cooldown."
He leans back, satisfied and intrigued, "Quite a magnificent creation, I must admit. It has given me a great many ideas." I chuckle as I retrieve the book, already thinking of shoving a powerful Soul inside it to magnify its power and utility.
I grasp it, ignoring the distant magical waves that keep intensifying. Cantarella couldn't keep up with the two, so moved to train with Changli and Yi Xuan instead.
Holding the book, I focus on space-related magic, and watch as the pages flip and start showing me the Spells. Now that we translated it, it is quite easy to read through.
My eyes flick through the Spells, and I slowly formulate a plan. A plan for the ultimate type of Spell. A most glorious and powerful Spell like no other.
"I have an idea." I start, leaning forward, a wide grin spreading across my face, "One I can only achieve with your help." Both Ajuka and Sirzechs blink, sharing a look before leaning forward.
"The Satanachia Sure-hit Clan Trait, the Fleurety Dimension Clan Trait, the Vassago Barrier Clan Trait and some other powers mixed together… It is a theory, but I think we can make it a Reality with enough practice."
With a grin and a fire in my earth thrumming with the Infinite's blood, I share my theory with the two Super Devils.
They listen. They eyes widen. And two equally feral grin soon grace their face.
And as the battle over the horizon intensifies, we start brainstorming.
~XXX~
Serafall panted. She couldn't remember the last time she felt so… Tired. So weak.
Her left hand had lost all feeling inside it since her left shoulder was nearly cleaved off, the deep gash frozen solid so to not make her pass out from blood-loss.
Which was pointless due to the many cuts and deep wounds all over her body.
Not that her opponent was faring much better.
Fleurdelys own eyes were hazy. Tired and nearly out of focus, but she still stood on shaky legs, same as Serafall.
Her body was covered in frost and frozen wounds, her right hand was a mangled mess, her left eye was red due to the blood flowing down the crack near her golden horn.
Her left leg had a hole through it, and the wounds kept stacking up.
In her right hand was a long, glowing azure greatsword radiating immense power. The presence of the Original Leviathan was quiet, simply holding witness to the days-long battle.
Roaring torrents of water surged up, cloaking Fleurdelys form as she launches herself forward with a blast of wind.
Gritting her bloodied and cracked teeth, Serafall does the same, a screaming blizzard right behind her. A battlecry was on her lips, but her throat was hoarse and her mouth dry, so no sound came out.
Her trembling hands come together, clasping around the staff of a gargantuan warhammer made of ice. Serafall snarls and swings it through the air, a sonic boom being left in the wake of the colossal weapon.
Fleurdelys roaring waters and blade clash against the hammer, water and ice tearing at each other for dominance.
Serafall gritted her teeth, eyes narrowed, knuckles turning white as she tried to gain dominance in the clash. 'More…!' She screamed in her mind, frost gathering over her form, slowly building up as the temperature dropped further.
Their clash exploded, sending shards of ice and droplets of ice howling through the air like bullets, stabbing through their flesh and bringing out cries of pain from their lips.
Yet, they both flung at each other once more.
When weapons failed, pure elements roared and clashed.
When those failed, their bodies clashed.
And when those too failed, they resumed from the first step.
No technique. No Spells. No strategy.
Just a brutal battle, until one or both gives in.
'More!' Serafall screamed in her mind hard enough to worsen the already horrid migraine she was suffering from the overuse of her magic.
Her blood boiled and roared in her ears, her heart beating so fast it felt quiet and still, her body running out of Devil Magic faster than she was recovering it.
'More!'
'More! More!'
'I! Need! More!'
Wounds kept gathering, blood kept spilling, her vision started spinning. Yet she refused to give up, to pass out.
The image of her little sister flashed by her mind. The sight of her on that damnable bed, with that blank stare in her eyes, growing thinner and thinner each passing day.
Suddenly, Serafall grasped every last drop of Magic within her every atom and wrenched it into being with a primal scream of pure, roaring fury.
And the world went white.
The howling blizzard swelled and exploded forth like a devastating calamity bringing the Ice Age upon the Underworld, only stopped thanks to the precautionary barriers Ajuka had set up just in case.
The air boiled, Reality itself cracking as it was being frozen and turned into powder.
Fleurdelys skidded to a halt, eyes widen, the frost on her figure building up rapidly as the immense waves of power poured off Serafall like tidal, apocalyptic waves.
It was a familiar feeling, for Fleurdelys. It felt like… It felt like being right next to Sirzechs and Ajuka.
"A Super Devil…" Fleurdelys whispers, bearing witness to the birth of another monster within her mighty Race.
From her blade, the roaring laughter of the Original Leviathan shook the air, "Magnificent! Absolutely magnificent, child! This is what it means to be a Devil! When you lack power, you force yourself past your limits!"
Before them, the impossible happened.
A Devil became a Super Devil, instead of being born or made into one.
As the howling and sharp winds subsided, Serafall came into view. Her eyes were like bright crystals, pupils the shape of glowing snowflakes.
Her dark hair had turned a radiant, glowing icy blue color, and the power pouring out of her was chaotic and colder than the frost of Cocytus itself.
Lifting her gaze, the newly born Super Devil offered Fleurdelys a tired yet eager grin, "Another round…?"
Fleur blinks, then mimics that feral smile with her own. What remained of her power roared forth as her greatsword became a ring around her horn, and her form swelled.
The sharp cry of a narwhal rang out, and burning violet light lit up the skies of the Underworld as Fleurdelys called forth both of her Clan Traits.
An ocean rose and a purple Sun fell, resuming the clash with the gargantuan blizzard once more.
….
In the end, I managed to fully perfect my build within a short amount of time.
The Spells from Dungeons and Dragons worlds are truly magnificent and useful, and have quite the useful buffs to add to the ones I already have on hand.
Not to talk about the many other Spells, which were part of what I focused on.
I now have what I called the Book of Magi, fully translated and having a mighty and smart Soul shoved in it. It hangs around my hip, ready to cast Spells at my command.
Then the Scythe of Death – not original, but eh – swiftly forged by the Forging Sect under my request and instruction using the best materials they had access to.
Ur Ore, Mythril, Adamantite, and countless other unknown ores from across the Multiverse that don't have names but are incredibly useful and fit my powers.
Finally, the last piece of my gear I was waiting a bit to work on so to get my hands on other useful things. Just a simple set of armored robes and boots, black and white to fit my hair.
But what makes it special is the Soul I shoved in it, as I gave it knowledge on countless support Spells from Dungeons and Dragons, so to stack them all together.
Resistance, Thaumaturgy, Guidance, Blade Ward, Armour of Agathys, Heroism, Mage Armour, Protection from Evil and Good, Sanctuary, Shield, Shield of Faith, Stoneskin, Enhance Ability, Beacon of Hope, Fire Shield and Globe of Invulnerability as a last resort.
All in all, the robes turn into a mighty suit of magical armor that enhance my abilities quite massively.
My weapon, the Scythe, received the same treatment too. It was already good when a staff, but I prefer going overboard. Thus, I gave it quite a lot of Spells too.
Booming Blade, Bane, Hex, Hunter's Mark, True Strike, all types of Smites, Elemental Weapon, Magic Weapon, Blight, Cloudkill, Dethrone and Circle of Death.
Each Spell, from both the armor and weapon, will always be active or be activated instantly, as they are all connected to me, and my reserves are nigh-infinite thanks to Ophis' blood.
Being able to spam Spells is… Quite the pleasure. And addictive, I must admit.
I turn, cleaning my hands as I step out of the kitchen, only to pause at the sight before me.
The large table was full of people. From Sirzechs, to Serafall and Ajuka, to Rias and her Peerage, to my Peerage.
Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael and even Yah. A strange gathering of Devils and Angels, just… Talking, laughing, having fun and eating.
"Funny, isn't it?" I turn as Fleurdelys floats close, leaning against my side and taking one of my hands in hers, "Not too long ago, we were at each other's throats, and now…"
I hum, returning my gaze towards the table.
It was… Funny. Through Euclid's memories, I learned that the first Beast Tide was caused by Rizevim, and were it not for said Beast Tide, we and the Satans would have still been at each other's throats.
Instead, we just put our differences aside. The Beast Tide was a wake up call for Sirzechs and the others, and they put their foot down with the Nobility.
After that, we just… Saw no reason to remain enemies. It felt pointless, and pointless strife is exactly what Fleurdelys hates.
Rizevim's dumbass is the reason for all of this. What a pathetic creature, really. He throws a tantrum, and said tantrum ends up uniting all the Factions.
I can't see a way to fuck up any worse than that. Like… Wow.
I spin around, pulling Fleurdelys with me inside the kitchen. She gasps softly, then mewls when I pull her into a deep kiss, her body melting against mine and her arms embracing me tightly.
She is still weak from her week long fight against Serafall, as the two pushed themselves until they quite literally passed out from exhaustion and slept for two days straight.
Though, I cannot fault the gains. Serafall, as I've confirmed, became a Super Devil. She put her body and mind under so much stress that she became one with her Clan Trait, reaching the levels of Sirzechs and Ajuka in terms of sheer power.
She also gained something similar to Sirzechs, a sort-of True Form, where her eyes and hair change color, and the frost she conjures puts even Cocytus to shame.
It was utterly magnificent to bear witness to. To think a Devil can become a Super Devil even later in life, instead of just from birth.
I break the kiss and cup Fleur's cheeks, her gaze tired but content, "I'll make sure that peace you yearn for will become a reality soon enough." I promise her softly, my voice but a whisper. Her face blooms into a radiant smile overflowing with warmth.
"I am so glad I found you grave-robbing that night." We share a good laugh at that.
Her fingers sweep through my long hair as she hums softly, "You are far more charming with long hair. Do keep them, please." Welp, guess I'll let my hair remain at this length until I die, I guess.
I kiss her again, but make it short this time. That's when I realize something, "You know, I just realized… I never said it." Fleur tilts her head, pressing her cheek further in my palm. I grin at her, "I love you."
Her breath hitches, cheeks going a harsh red, and her eyes blow wide open, "I-Wha-...Huh?!" Oh dear. Embarrassed Fleur is adorable.
With a chuckle, I give her ass a nice spank and step away, "C'mon, the food's ready, let's go eat with the others."
"H-Huh? Eh? W-Wha…?" I think I broke her.
I walk past her, carrying the food into the living room lively with chatter. "Scaith!" I perk up as Rias shouts my name, pout on her face as she points an accusatory finger at a laughing Sirzechs, "He stole my technique! My Dress of Destruction! He stole it!"
I snort, "Ah yes, the power ranger outfit." Sirzechs' chuckles turn embarrassed for a moment.
"Hey, it was the first thing I could think about, and my son likes that show!"
Michael speaks up seemingly in Sirzechs defense, "To be fair, a lot of kids at the orphanages we visit also love that show." He points out, wide amused smile on his face, "Sometimes, some of our brothers and sisters dress up as Power Rangers and as bad guys to amuse the kids. It tends to get out of hand, sometimes."
His eyes turn to Uriel, who does his best not to shrink under the stare, "...I just got into the role, okay? Hearing the kids shout at me to get up was… Encouraging."
"Enough to 'unleash your ultimate power' and nearly burn down the orphanage?"
Even Yah turns an amused brow towards Uriel this time, and the towering man pouts and flushes, grumbling beneath his breath, "It was the final battle, c'mon…"
I chuckle, placing a large bowl down on the table. Rias instantly zeroes in on it, "Oh, what's this?!" She leaps forward before I could warn her, and she shoves a spoonful in her mouth.
She chews once, twice, then pauses. Her face blanches, then goes red. Sirzechs instantly puts two and two together, "Spicy?"
I nod, "Poured a whole bottle of hot sauce on it." I push the bowl further ahead, letting Tio leap on it. The Ceviche had swiftly become her favorite thing to eat, especially when I make it especially spicy. She'd devour the whole bowl by herself if not stopped.
I circle around the table while Rias regretted her choice while her brother laughed at her. Serafall tried a spoonful too and froze her tongue right after, and was glaring bloody murder my way for some damn reason.
Gabriel's eyes dilate like those of a cat when I put down a tray near her vicinity, "Muffins." She whispered, before snatching three of them and shoving a whole muffing inside her mouth, making her look like a squirrel with cheeks filled with nuts.
Yah glanced at her daughter with pure amusement despite the show of pure Gluttony, and her eyes crinkle with warmth when I place down a plate before her, "Thank you, dear."
Michael smiles, looking more relaxed than all the other times we met before, "Were you a cook before… All this, Scaith?" He questions curiously, and I nod.
"I used to work for a famous restaurant in Europe, but before that I worked as a private cook for rich people." I shrug, "When I discovered my powers, I just… Took a break. Traveled the world for a few months, wondering if it was worth it, before…" I pause, then snort. "Before I started grave-robbing."
Yah chokes on her drink.
Rias wheezes so hard she nearly falls off her chair.
Michael blinks, then his eyes widen in realization, lips twitching into a smile, "That's why all those Mage Families hate you?!"
I give him a cheeky grin, "I might've robbed them of their ancestors." Then I give a pure, sage-like nod, "All for the sake of the future, of course."
"Uh-huh…"
"We totally believe you."
"My Lord comes from quite the humble beginnings…"
I turn my nose up at all the judgmental stares, finish setting down the plates, then take my own seat at the table.
"But honestly? I'm glad I took down that path." I gaze around the table, "I expected that I'd have to be selfish, use others to walk my own path… But damn am I glad to have this sight before me right now."
Thank God I didn't walk that lonely path. I don't know I even ended up in this position, but I am quite glad I did.
"We started off on the wrong foot, and the misunderstandings just kept getting worse… But I am glad we are here too." Sirzechs smiles and lifts his glass.
Michael takes his own and lifts it up in turn, "I don't think we'll ever be able to repay Scaith for what he has done for us, but I'll gladly say that I am glad you didn't go down that lonely path of yours."
Serafall raised her own glass, and looked across the table, locking eyes with Cantarella. Instead of hate, she offered a look of forgiveness and understanding.
Cantarella bit her lower lip, closed her eyes, sighed and sagged her shoulders. Her hate was still there, and so were those harrowing memories, but she had gotten her revenge, even if perhaps it didn't taste as sweet as before.
I raise my own glass, a soft snort leaving me, drawing all eyes towards me. My snorts turns into a chuckle, "Sorry, it's just… I can't stop thinking that all of this was caused by Rizevim." I laugh, shaking my head, "He caused the first Beast Tide that got us all together."
Silence.
Then laughter erupted around the table.
You seriously cannot fuck up worse that that.
~XXX~
One month and twenty-seven days.
That is how long it took before the second Beast Tide alarm echoed across the Underworld. It's shrill cry was followed by the demented howls and roars from the billions of beasts pouring forth across the horizon, stomping over each other in a mad, twisted fervor to simply destroy.
The early estimate was in low billions. The following, far more accurate and despair-inducing one was far, far higher.
High billions. Perhaps even higher. A trillion or two.
From the Outer and Inner area, uncountable numbers of beasts poured forth, simply chasing the body before them as soon as they poured out of their respective Gates.
With no areas for themselves, with territories soon losing their meaning, all invading beasts had a similar thought; Rush towards the wide open expanse of the Underworld, tear it down, and claim it for themselves.
Thus, they charged. Thus, they trampled.
Zeus stood at the front of the Greek Pantheon, gaze stormy and heavy as he gazed towards the darkened horizon. The sheer magical waves caused by the numerous invading parasites causing the skies to go dark and cloud over with thundering clouds.
Colossal figures came into view with each flash of lightning, one after another, from all Classes and types, all with the same goal.
"Will he come, brother?" Poseidon questions, his trident in hand, the full might of the Oceans standing alongside the full might of the Skies, their Demigods, and their other Olympians.
Zeus glanced at their armies. At their Gods and monsters. At their Cyclops and Hundred-Handed Giants.
Then he looked at the Sun-eclipsing armies of feral beasts, eager to trample and feast on their ichor and bones, no matter what.
His hand clenches around the Thunderbolt, sparks of royal blue lightning crackling around his muscular arm, "I hope so, brother. I hope so-" A palm slapped his shoulder, and a spectral steed neighed as it soared past him.
Zeus' electric blue eyes widen, startled, eyes locking first on flowing golden locks filled with flowers.
Then on a laughing, joyful face, bare legs and feet kicking through the air, one hand holding on broad armored shoulders while the other waved through the air. "Go go, Darling!"
The sweet, cheerful voice of Persephone rang louder than the demented, harrowing howls of the feral beasts, making the Greek Pantheon and their armies still and perk up.
The armored warrior leading the spectral steed turns his helmet-clad skull, burning blue flames meeting electric blue eyes as it advanced forth heroically, "What are you waiting for, you old bastard?! I'll get the most kills with this headstart!"
A wide, nigh-maniacal grin split Zeus and Poseidon's face. Their laughter shook the skies and the earth, and they soon leapt forward, unwilling to let their brother get the advantage.
With a stomp of the spectral steed's hooves, the land darkened and rose. From the deep mists rose entire armies of Reapers and monsters, fallen Gods and Heroes.
The armies of Greece that attacked Troy fought alongside the opponents they once invaded, their roars overwhelming those of the Beast Tide.
As one, the Trinity Gods crashed down upon the Beast Tide… And for a split second, its advance ceased.
Then their armies rammed forward like falling meteors, carving a path of blood and guts across the Underworld.
But they weren't the only ones acting.
The lands claimed in the Underworld by all the joined Factions was effectively a circle, with the inner area within it being basically empty. It was there to offer each Faction a chance at retreat in case a Beast Tide ever happened… But not, it was being exploited by those that had plans to sabotage everyone else.
With a flash of light and rumble of magic, a Mass Teleportation Array activated, causing a large army of cloaked figures to appear where no one expected them.
At their head was a woman with long hair styled in twin-tails and wearing a gothic outfit.
What remained of the Khaos Brigade since the fall of Euclid, who did all the work in keeping their Factions together.
Mages from Nilrem, eager to avenge their fallen leader Euclid. Mages from Hexennacht, led by their leader, Walburga.
What remained of the Original Satan Faction, and countless other deserters.
Smiling a wide, wicked smile, Walburga turned towards the army, "Well then! Remember your plan, people! Split off and find your targets, attack them from behind and disrupt their formation at the most opportune moments to cause the most chaos and death, mmkay~?" She didn't wait for any confirmation, and merely clapped her hands, "Okay! Now, go-"
"I think not." Walburga stills as that kind, warm voice echoed across the clearing. The air around the now alerted army shudders and peels back, revealing an Illusion Formation hiding the army currently surrounding them.
Michael stood at the front, arms crossed behind his back, a smirking Azazel at his side, "Told you they'd pop up here, brother." The Fallen leader of the Grigori cheekily states, smugness radiating from all of his pores.
Walburga stills, eyes wide with growing panic and horror, "You-! How?!" Her gaze flicks around, noticing the members of the Slash Dog Team among the army currently surrounding them. "You should be covering your side of the Underworld! Why are you-!"
A flash of light, and a decapitated head rolls to the floor. Walburga's corpse falls like a puppet having its strings cut, and a purple flames pours out of it moments later.
Michael smiles at the Longinus Sacred Gear, then gently waves it away, "Go and find a more worthy wielder, you unruly child." The crackling Holy Flames sag, thoroughly chided, before flashing away in the blink of an eye.
The warm smile soon fades, and Michael turns to the rest of the army, the corpse at his feet long forgotten, "Now then… Time to take out the rest of the trash." A radiant suit of golden armor woven from pure Holy Light rumbles to life around his form, his golden wings spreading wide, the sheer heat of his Light immolating the land and turning the closest Magicians into ashes.
Landing down beside him, Azazel offers the Archangel a glance, "Is it really fine, though?" He questions as the army falls upon the backstabbers taken by surprise, tearing into their panicked ranks with laughable ease, "To leave all that area to the Necromancer alone, I mean."
All of the lands owned by the Grigori were swiftly evacuated and effectively demolished under Yah's order, and it all was given to Scaith alone to cover.
Beneath his helmet, Michael smiles, "Trust him, brother. For I trust him with my life." Azazel can only shrug in response, though clear interest lit up in his eyes.
While the surprise attack from various traitors was taken care off, other beings moved to exact their own plans.
Mixed in among the feral beasts, Typhon and Fenrir, two of the strongest beings in the Supernatural World, marched together towards the lands of the Norse Pantheon.
Their plan was simple; One would keep Thor occupied, while the other slew Odin, starting Ragnarok and commencing the fall of the Norse Pantheon.
Alas, their plan faltered when a lone, crimson-haired Devil came into view far before the Norse Pantheon's lands did. His smile was wide and eager, infuriating the two mighty beings.
With a grin on his face, Sirzechs hands lifted in the air, and his magic exploded forth.
On the side of the Devils, Ajuka's eyes suddenly widened and shot across the horizon. His usually impassive face filled with an eager thirst for battle, and he soon flew forward, "I'll leave this area to you, Diehauser."
The Devil and next in line to be the Satan Lucifer could only give a startled, surprised nod as Ajuka flew forward, breaching the sound barrier and flying across the horizon to meet his opponent.
After months, they finally met. The one being he had sensed, and had sensed him in turn, had finally come to grace his presence.
The Beast Tide marched around that lone, small humanoid figure clad in white and golden robes, a long veil cascading over their face as they walked at a calm pace, advancing forth while radiating a pressure that made Ajuka's skin crawl.
The Super Devil lands, wide smile on his lips, taking in the appearance of the only human that ever stepped out from the Gates. A woman, he soon realized, with radiant golden-white hair cascading out of the veil.
Her steps slow to a stop, and her attention landed fully upon Ajuka.
"I've been dying to meet you." His eyes sharpen, their magic explode forth like harbingers of the apocalypse, and his hands rise up.
And on the Fallen Angel side of the Underworld, now cleared of buildings and turned into a flat and wide expanse of land, a lone pale rider marched towards the incoming Beast Tide.
A pale suit of white-black armor, and a harrowing scythe cloaked in malevolent Necrotic Flames.
Power exploded forth from the Necromancer, the Land of the Defiled Spell washing forth and turning the landscape into a twisted, demented land of death and howling, tortured Souls.
From the bleached earth rose an army of hundreds of millions, armed to the teeth, covering the skies and the earth.
Riding alongside the pale rider came a red horse neighing with pure blood-thirst, matching the one from Strongest Beneath the Heavens as he rode his old, beloved partner into battle once more.
Ahead of them, the skies darkened. A colossal figure flew forth, covering the entire skies with its gigantic mass, and radiating a dense, familiar might.
Beneath his helmet, Scaith smirked. 'The Wanderer.'
The mighty beast that feasted on Heavenly Dragon Class Monsters as snacks.
Releasing the reins of his brilliant white steed, Scaith's hand rose.
And across the Underworld, each of the three Devils unleashed the masterpiece they had worked tirelessly to create.
Sirzechs' hands form the Apan Mudra.
Ajuka's hands form the Uttarabodhi Mudra.
Scaith's hands form the Shambhala Shield Mudra.
And as one, they called the name of their masterpiece down.
"Domain Expansion:!"
Yah's eyes blow wide open within the void she was hiding herself to calculate the next move, and her head whips around, her mouth falling open.
"Just… What are they doing…?"
On three different sides of the Underworld, three Devils reached the levels of the Deus, and carved their own Domains into existence, bringing forth their own Inner Worlds.
The Dream gazes down at the trio, and watches their Dreams are carved into existence, shaking Reality itself.
The Infinity stirs in her slumber.
And three roars echo across the Underworld, heard by the Gods and monsters both.
The Gods came to a pause, feeling the impossible happen.
The monsters halted their march, suddenly assaulted by an unexplainable feeling of pure, utter dread.
A curtain of black swallowed Typhon and Fenrir both as they both shuddered beneath Sirzech's catastrophic magical aura.
"Horizon of a New Dawn."
The curtain unveiled, revealing a seemingly endless landscape of greenery and bright blue skies.
Sirzechs stood upon a green hill, and behind him… A towering Birch Tree made out of Power of Destruction swayed with the gentle, non-existent wind.
As its leaves swayed and fell, Reality itself ceased to exist wherever they passed.
With a flap of its branches, the leaves fell and swayed, carried by a wind that wasn't there, sweeping across the valley. Any struck monster just ceased to exist, not even powder in the wind.
And both Father of Monsters and the God-Killing Wolf suddenly felt that they had bitten off more than they could chew.
Ajuka's curtain fell next, like a gentle veil flapping in the wind and warding away any light.
"Eight-Folded Wheel of Self-Enlightenment."
The sound of flapping pages filled the air. A library was constructed out of nothing, with torn pages and open books and scrolls littering the floor.
Some lay halfway open, some fully closed, some were discarded before being finished, others before being opened, and others waited their turn while gathering dust.
Behind Ajuka's head floated a golden Dharmachakra Wheel with a floating eye in the middle, its pupil shaped like a pink Lotus Flower.
This… Was his Inner World. Staring at it brought a soft smile to Ajuka's lips.
Staring at the mess, at the discarded books and scrolls, at the books gathering dust awaiting to be studied and touched… It spoke to him, deeply.
His mind was a cluttered mess. But it was his cluttered mess.
KLNK!
The Wheel spun once, and his first step towards Enlightenment was achieved.
Scaith's curtain fell last, like a gargantuan sheet devouring all light and sound, swallowing The Wanderer's colossal form whole.
"Mockery of Life and Death."
High in the dark skies, three golden cups came into existence. One held a bright white and pure milk-like liquid.
The second held a deep, fathomless black liquid.
And the third was evenly split with black and white. The black devoured the white, and the white embraced the black.
And suddenly, Scaith went from a minor annoyance to prey in The Wanderer's eyes.
A mountain-sized claw crashes down faster than light, sending shards of metal, limbs and gore flying everywhere.
A drop of white-black liquid falls from the third cup, and Scaith comes back anew, riding his steed like nothing happened to him.
The Wanderer stills, confused.
And the two other cups move. The white cup tilts, milky-white liquid pouring down beneath the feet of the charging army, enormously empowering and healing them.
The black cup pours its profane black liquid over the side of the monsters. It cascades over the mighty form of The Wanderer and below the feet of the advancing Beast Tide, before clashing with the white liquid and flowing upward into the third cup, forming a perfect cycle.
As the black liquid flowed, the army of beasts aged rapidly, withering into skeletons and then powder within moments, the Principle of Death sapping away their life-force as they step within it.
The Wanderer's gargantuan body slowly gets bleached, at a microscopic pace.
Its broken, demented mind soon realizes its predicament.
It was stuck in a loop where Death was meaningless to its prey…
But was inevitable for it.
A.N. Time for Scaith to solo a Trihexa-level being!
I quite loved writing this chapter, hope it is as hype for y'all as I felt while writing it.
Next chapter I'll show the way Scaith, Sirzechs and Ajuka created their Domain Expansion through simple theory, and made it so bullshit powerful.
Either way, hope y'all enjoyed the chappy!
Toodles!
