I, Necromancer Chapter 35 (Patreon)
Content
The Dream had contacted Mugen.
I… Do not know what to think of that. The message relayed back was no threat, but a request and offer.
It came off as the Dragon God of Dreams wanting to cooperate to save all of existence from being overwhelmed by Gates, but that's… Dragon Gods don't really care about that, do they?
Even if the world ends, they can still exist. Yes, they will lose the majority of their powers, but in the grand scheme of things that loss won't matter much.
There's something Great Red hasn't told us. Something he either doesn't trust us with, or that may… Distract us.
I turn around, peering out of the window towards the courtyard below, where my Jianqshi Generals were still beating the crap out of the various talented individuals from the different Mythologies.
Still, now they lasted longer, fought well together, sometimes landed a blow or two. Then still landed in the infirmary under Asia's tender care, who I'm pretty sure is being drowned in admirers.
Alas, dense and oblivious as she is, all proclamation of undying love are flying over her head. Michael is having the time of his life, that much I can tell.
"What do you think?" I ask, turning towards said Archangel. He was still dressed casually, wings nowhere to be seen, and leaning against the wall close to the window to stare down at the courtyard.
"Great Red is likely planning to create a new mortal vessel." Michael points out with a low drawl, eyes scrunched in thought. The words make my eyes widen, "It is a process that takes time, as he needs to slowly gather his energies into this Reality, anchor them, and then shape them into a new vessel that can hold him."
I breathe in through my nostrils, knowing the process quite well. It was something Gods used to do when they died, and needed to return from death.
An agonizingly slow process that may not go through, as they needed Faith, but the Age of Gods is long pass now.
But since I changed how Death works, they don't need to do that anymore. They can simply spend their own Divine Power from their seat of power to form another Divine Vessel.
But Great Red? The vessel he would need to house him would take time. A lot of time and energy. I cannot even wrap my head around the sheer amount of energy-
"He'll use me as a focus to channel his energy through." I realize, and Michael nods.
If I perfect this Lich body of mine, with Great Red's flesh and Ophis' blood, I'd be channeling his energies constantly, because I am always fueling my gargantuan army of Undead.
My reserves are already immense, and they return pretty much instantly thanks to Ophis' blood. I never run out of energy, and my only weakness is that I have the reserves, but not the power.
I have a wide repertoire of Spells, especially ones made through the System, but I lack more. I lack ones that use my own Necrotic Powers as the base.
I hum and cup my chin in thought, "What does the power of Dreams actually do?"
The one to answer my question wasn't Michael, but Gabriel, who stepped into my personal space, large breasts pressing against my arm as she hummed cutely, "It's like the power Devils wield. Imagination." I blinked down at the shorter beauty in a sundress, and tried hard not to stare.
I, of course, failed horribly. There's lots to look at, after all.
"I presume that it is far better than what Devils have." After all, the requirement for Devil's Magic was immense reserves. I have them, of course. Luckily, the constant draw on my reserves makes them constantly grow. I am training without doing anything, and there's nothing better than that.
"To conjure something out of nothing requires immense amounts of Magic." Gabriel points out sweetly, still smiling up at me with that immaculate face of hers, "Great Red's power bypasses all that. He wants something? It becomes Reality, forgoing all Laws of Magic and Equivalent Exchange."
...That son of a bitch. That is exactly what I need.
I just recently thought about creating my own arsenal of Spells not attached to the System since my Apotheosis is drawing closer, and I'd rather have my Grimoire record as many Necrotic Mana based Spells as possible before then.
Problem is, without the System, creating Spells can't just be done on a whim.
And I also need to refine and perfect my Domain Expansion, to the point where the System recognizes its existence.
I have much to master, but I am close towards fully Mastering my Qi Core, perfecting it until I cannot improve upon the Necrotic Qi anymore.
My Soul can be refined passively, and faster too once Changli starts helping.
And with Great Red's flesh, I'd be able to create and perfect enormous amounts of Spells with little time and ease, thus making it a non-issue.
This will push my Lich body closer to perfection. I'll simply need to collect more 'information' with the Graal from monsters so that I can perfect my armor and weapons.
Already I added the hardness of the turtle's body to it, the effects of Ddraig's Boost to the armor, and Penetrate along the edge of the Scythes blade, coupled with my Necrotic Qi and a dangerously enhanced version of Albion's poison.
In the end, I sigh softly. "I'll take the deal, but not now." I am close to freeing myself up and getting the chance to just focus fully on Grafting, so I cannot turn away this incredibly power up.
Especially since it'll make one of my needs obsolete.
"I'll tell God." Michael stated, moving away from the wall with a light smile, "I'm sure she'd want to be around, just in case."
Right, hardcore hater of Dragons. For a good reason.
"...Shall we retrieve Samael?" I point out, and Michael pauses. One hand rises to cup his chin in thought, before he gives a curt nod.
"It might be worth doing. It's poison can affect True Dragons too, after all." His gaze narrows right after and meets mine, "Plus, there is that Dragon you told us about."
I nod, restraining my hate and desire to tear that beast apart and make it my Undead Minion for now.
Bahamut. I still hold a grudge, and I still need to perfect several things before I can try drawing its attention once more to settle the score.
"Yeah, I'm still very far from being able to challenge it." Not that I mind. I have time to grow, and my plans are coming together. Plus, raising these two-hundred strong brats doesn't really affect my growth. "Actually, I was going to raise the offer to train together."
I point out towards Michael, who perks up and blinks in surprise. "I plan on teaching the Domain Expansion to a few others, you included, while mine requires further refinement." My lips twitch in amusement, "I'd raise the offer to Yah too, but I'm sure she is already working on it."
Michael snorts, "Yes, she is." His smile turns fond and warm, "I haven't seen her this excited over something since way before the Great War." Man, that's a long time…
"But you'd really teach me that technique?" I nod, quite liking seeing that excitement in his eyes. And honestly? I wanted to see what kind of Domain Expansion he brings into reality.
I know Sirzechs is already working on refining his, having mentioned something about ideas he wanted to try out.
Alas, such a technique is… Complicated. What it does is carve a slice of Reality into a Domain where the Laws of anything just don't work properly.
A God would be stripped of their connection to their Faith and powers, Magic works differently inside it, and many more effects.
"But didn't you use Clan Traits to create it?" Gabriel asks curiously, still a bit too close and drawing my gaze towards very interesting mountains, "Or did you change it?"
I smiled at her – because it is hard not to – and nodded, "The Clan Traits we used were to create the Prototype. As for the rest? Very complicated Magic and Soul stuff." I nod towards Michael, "It also requires immaculate Magic control and gargantuan reserves. Few match that criteria, I'm afraid."
Gabriel hummed, poking her cheek in thought, "It is about bringing one's Inner World and… Paint it into Reality with power alone." Sometimes I fail to realize that she is 'innocent', not 'dumb' and whatnot.
"Yes, and that is something we achieved by… Cheating a little through the Sephiroth Graal." Mostly to speed-run the process, which hurt. A lot. The feeling of a tired Soul is not nice. "But it can be achieved normally."
"Which is what I'll do." Michael points out, and I nod in agreement.
While rushing the process is mostly fine, it does come with some faults. For example, my Domain Expansion isn't my Inner World, but an Inner World I painted through the Sephiroth Graal. It is vastly different, still incredibly lethal and powerful, but not Me.
I can create another, but it'll take time. I also wanted to teach this technique to the girls, but most refused.
Cantarella and Zani had too much trauma, and knew for a fact that their Inner World would basically reflect that, and they don't want to bring it into reality.
Fleurdelys instead is the one I expect to achieve it the fastest, as she has a very solid and strong mind and confidence in herself like no one else.
Serafall is considering it, but she is still mastering her 'Super Devil' state through tips given to her by Sirzechs, as he has his own experience and mastery over his Form of Destruction.
Their two states aren't similar, but Ajuka pointed out that Serafall could quite literally freeze Magic and Divive Power. She turned a Dragon and its Evil God creator into a frozen statue that, once shattered, will mean their eternal death.
She froze them to the point that they can only be brought back through the Sephiroth Graal, even after I changed how Death works for Gods and everyone else.
Plus, she has quite a bit of baggage herself. That seems to affect one's Inner World a lot.
Tio also turned down her offer, mostly due to her pride as a part Dragon. She sees using Spells as weak for her, and prefers only using brute physical might or releasing Magic in the most violent way possible.
Which… Works perfectly for her. That wonderful woman is a monster in her own right.
Changli instead prefers focusing on her Alchemy, since she isn't much of a fighter, and Yi Xuan has her Formations and Arrays, which are kinda a Domain in their own right.
"I can set you down the path towards finding your Inner World, but walking it down is up to you." Michael nods, a thankful smile on his face. Which stiffens as he turns his head to the rest of the room behind me, then up, and up, and up.
"...Can we get rid of that thing, please?" His voice quivers as he looks at the Grafted Monstrosity I made while bored, "That's the stuff of nightmares."
Grabiel's own smile is stiff as she hugs my arm, "Scaith, why make such scary thingies? Can't you make something cute? Like a Unicorn?"
I blink in confusion, "Come on, it isn't that bad-" I state as I turn around, then pause as I take in my creation.
You know, I didn't even pay attention to what I was making. I was just bored and mashed together like… two hundred random corpses.
Four massive arms that ended in long, jagged scythes of bone dripping with glistening Necrotic Acid.
A long, spiky tongue dangling out of a jaw-less face, compound eyes covering the pale head, with the humanoid upper body being rested upon a horse-like back, giving the creature the likeness of a nightmarish centaur.
Four legs on each side, a long snake-like tail that hissed out Necrotic Miasma, and wriggling spiky tentacles along the horse's back that crackled with Necrotic Lightning.
"Huh…" I tilt my head and stare up at the twenty-meters tall monstrosity and rub my chin in thought, "Should I throw it at the brats below?"
I hear Michael choke behind me, "Scaith, you're evil."
"Hey, it builds character."
"It gives trauma."
"Same thing, different flavor." I shrug and cross my hands behind my back, "Plus, it is a much needed lesson since their first real battle is coming soon."
Gabriel stills, "We've found our first target?"
I nod, switching my gaze to the Undead Vultures I've spread far and wide to scout all around us as Xuanwu slowly flies in the air. "This Gate is… Weird. It moves around, sticking close to its Boss."
"Right now, the monsters are wandering, and are walking straight towards a massive canyon. They'll reach it in a few days, and I'll have everyone prepare to meet them at the entrance of the canyon."
I looked at the monsters marching slowly across the wasteland, leaving behind a frozen hell in their wake.
Michael hums and glances outside the window once more, "You think they can manage?"
"Hell no." I laughed, much to his surprise, "They'll lose, and fast. This is the whole point of it, to fully crush their spirits and make them understand just how little worth their current selves can offer."
"This Gate has around a hundred-thousand monsters. I doubt they can even kill a thousand before they have to retreat."
Michael grimaces at that, a pitying look in his eyes, "Then what? That loss could crush them completely, since they clearly want to prove themselves." He glances outside once more, "It may lead them to give up completely…"
I shrug, "So what? This is just to keep the other Pantheons appeased and give them a 'We helped prevent the Apocalypse!' card for them to pull in the future and not have wounded egos." I move to stop by the window, the courtyard below a whirlwind of violence and brutality, the intensity even more raw than the first day. "I alone am more than enough to handle all of this, I am simply abiding by Yah's request. Plus, Fleurdelys asked me not to push myself too hard for a while, at least until my Soul fully recovers from using the Principles of Life and Death."
Surprisingly enough, Gabriel speaks up to agree with me, "He is right, Brother." She stated softly, moving to place a comforting hand against Michael's forearm, "This is simply being done to keep everyone's pride appeased. But we must be ready to ignore their wants to prevent the end of our world."
Michael mulls over Gabriel's words before his shoulders sigh, gaze falling and a deep sigh leaving his nostrils, "You're right, I apologize for questioning your methods, Scaith."
I shake my head with a smile, "I'm glad you question them. I'm not arrogant enough to believe I am always in the right." I nod to the courtyard below, "But this first trial must go like this, to see if they have the tenacity needed to get back up and try harder after a brutal loss."
Michael's lips twitch, "To build character?"
"Now you know why I'm gonna throw that thing at them." I state with a very evil grin while jabbing my thumb towards the Grafted Monstrosity.
The Archangel sighs and rubs his temples with an amused smile, "I'm gonna go warn Asia. I'm afraid she'll be overwhelmed by the swarm of crying people within the hour." He turned around and flashed away as I chuckled.
Honestly, I should feel sorry for giving Asia so much work… But she clearly loved healing people. She hated knowing that I was the one beating them up, so she always threw pouts my way whenever she could.
I turn back to my Grafted Monstrosity and hum, "I mean… It ain't that bad, right?" Gabriel turns away and starts whistling.
'Tis a magnificent creation, my Lord.' Of course, Mugen's voice instantly pipes up in my head, lavishing me with praise, 'Such horrid countenance may make even these demented creatures think twice before facing one such as you.'
I blink, then mull over those words, 'Are you referring to monsters, or to people?'
'All who stand against you are demented creatures, my Lord.' Is Mugen's matter-of-fact reply, voice smug and certain.
Heh, I really like this guy.
I turn towards Gabriel, and our eyes meet. She just stood there, very close, leaning forward and smiling brightly with sparkling eyes.
Of course, as a man, I melt instantly, "So… A Unicorn, was it?"
The Great Seraph squeals and throws her arms around my neck, pestering my face with kisses while hugging me so tight I hear the bones creak.
And I made them as hard as Xuanwu's! What the hell?!
Well, at least Gabriel is very soft. And clingy. Enough that she sticks to me like a koala even as I step out of the room I was using to mess around with Grafting, her chin resting on my shoulder as I gave her a piggy back ride outside.
The courtyard had gone quiet, and I easily ignored the gazes overflowing of jealousy thrown my way, "What a meanie, doing this in front of everyone." Gabriel giggles and pokes my cheek, while I just shrug and fix her position on my back, the feel of her large breasts against it being… Heavenly.
"Just giving a piggy back ride to a beautiful lady, that's all." Gabriel draws out a low hum that basically screamed 'Uh-huh, totally.' while she kept poking my cheek.
I kept my face relaxed as I looked across the courtyard, everyone having been gathered – beaten into a pile in the middle – and circled by my towering Generals, their bruises gone as the Priests swiftly healed them.
"Alright everyone, I have some motivation for you all!" I called out with a very huge, very kind smile. I felt Gabriel still and whisper 'Oh dear…' on my back, before stifling her giggles as everyone perked up, "I have an enemy for you all to defeat by working together! Win within five hours… And you can spend the next three days at the Tavern to relax!"
Silence blanketed the courtyard, eyes widening, mouths falling open, and cute, soft punches raining down on my back as Gabriel giggles, knowing very well what I am about to unleash upon these idiots.
Then, the screams ensued.
"Bring it ooon! I'm gonna butcher whatever it is!"
"Titties! Booties! Here I come, bloodied but victorious!"
"Fuck the tits! I want that hot femboy that winked at me last week! Uwooogh!"
"Lady Asia! This victory will be for you, oh my adorable Angel!"
I cackled.
Everyone went quiet.
"Well…" I faked a cough, then smiled kindly, "Good luck!"
The large doors behind me burst open, and out stomped the towering, screeching, nightmare-inducing Grafted Monstrosity.
My Jianqshi Generals vacated the courtyard as the beast charged upon its many legs while screaming like a butchered pig.
Then hundreds of girlish screams followed suit. I even saw five or so guys pass out instantly.
Fixing the giggling Gabriel behind me, I turned and left as the devastating, trauma-inducing battle started. They shouldn't have too much trouble, since that thing is mostly Low Ultimate Class in terms of power- Ah, wait, I gave it the Phenex Clan Trait…
Welp, they are fucked.
"You are so, so evil, Scaith!" Gabriel giggled, kicking her legs as I chuckled at the screams and shock-waves we are leaving behind.
"Am I? Look at you then, my accomplice in all of this!" I tease, turning my head to meet her bright blues, "A Great Seraph letting a savage monster leap upon innocent people!"
Her very mature response is blowing a raspberry my way. "So, where are you taking me, you evil Necromancer?" The beautiful blonde asks, arms wrapping around my neck once more.
I drawl out a slow hum, "To a shady place where I can seduce my captured Angel all I want, of course."
"Eh? There's such a place!"
"Of course. It is called the 'Kitchen', and who knows… We might find a Unicorn on the way!"
"Yay! Evil Necromancer is the best!"
Truly, the way to a woman's heart is an unhealthy amount of sweets.
And Unicorns, I guess.
~XXX~
Surprisingly enough, the 'Heroes' managed to defeat and kill the Grafted Monstrosity after nearly four hours.
Though, I refused to share the glory equally among all of them. More than half of them was knocked out or badly injured within the first hour, and not even fifty remained standing after the third.
Plus, among them, a certain group did the hard-lifting, their powers a perfect counter against healing abilities.
Said group was the Ten Swords guys from the Sword Sect that had come with Li Lu. Each of them was insanely skilled, had actually fought in the Beast Tide, and had also taken to training even harder now that they are here.
In fact, I had to secretly make the Jianqshi General training them quite a bit stronger. Their offensive might is just that great that I had to take precaution against it.
Alas, they tire fast, but they work magnificently together. They took turns battling the Grafted Monstrosity, giving the others time to gather their energies, never allowing themselves to get too tired so to constantly keep the pressure on.
All in all, they have magnificent teamwork, skills, and temperament. Ninety-percent of the hard work in the fight was done by them, and they worked so hard that more than half of them passed out once the beast was slain, as they had kept going even when dead on their feet.
"Senior Brother!"
I perked up as that loud voice echoed through the room, making me turn away from the table before me to look at the very group I was thinking about.
Each of the young man before me, the Ten Swords, had long black hair and bright blue eyes. They nearly looked like siblings even, but their faces and statures were different. Some lean, some taller, some shorter, some more muscular, and some with a darker skin tone.
The one at the lead had the strongest presence, a radiant smile on his handsome face. Leading the way, he cupped his fists towards me, pure white robes flowing as his fellow disciples followed suit.
I smiled, quite refreshed at the sight, and merely waved my hand, "No need for all that formality." I chuckled, though I quite liked these customs, "And thank you for having come on such short notice. Have you all rested well?"
They all nodded, eyes sharp and fierce, "Yes! The battle against that monster helped us grow, so we deeply thank you!" Their leader bows, gaze loyal and fierce.
If I remember right, his name is- "Lu Fan, right?" He perks up and nods, surprised and delighted that I knew his name. A teasing grin spreads across my face, "Ah, the one with a huge crush on Li Lu, eh?"
His face instantly goes red, and he wilts beneath the chuckles of his fellow brother disciples, "Is Fairy Li Lu well? We haven't seen her since we came here…"
I hum and turn around, glancing at the table before me, "Her training is… Something only she can handle." I state honestly, "In fact, I expected her to not be able to match the intensity at all." Antares was made to break her. Destroy her utterly until the only solution was to release her own restraint created by her trauma.
And yet… I underestimated the true meaning of 'Heavenly Genius' the Chinese Faction have, because that girl blows that title out of the waters.
"Wish she would stop complaining about it." I grumble aloud, causing the guys behind me to twitch and hold back snorts.
Lu Fan, of course, had to come to the defense of his crush, "F-Fairy Li Lu is… Quite vocal…" Even you couldn't find the words to protect her fully, huh? Yikes…
"Either way, she is… Improving." Meaning that it takes longer and longer for her to start complaining. Thank God. "Now, I called you here to show you something."
I circled the table and pulled back the tarp covering it, drawing a series of gasps from the ten Sword Cultivators, who managed to withstand the sharp, cutting auras being released by the ten blades on the table.
"I had the Forging Sect put their all into making these, and I personally made a potent Soul to place within them." I toss the tarp aside and wave at the pitch black Jian blades on the table, "These are yours now."
Hard work and excellent attitude must be rewarded. Since they came here, these ten guys barely over twenty have worked their asses off the whole time, never complained once, and haven't even visited the Tavern during the free time they instead used to further train and meditate.
Lu Fan gulped, but none of them moved to study or even accept the blades, "Senior Brother, this… I don't think none of us are yet worthy of these magnificent blades… Not as we are now." He looked at his brother disciples, who nodded seriously and agreed wholeheartedly with his words.
So direct and honest. No wonder they are the future of their Sect and prized so much by the Elders.
"Perhaps, but you will grow into them." I trace my fingers across the polished table, "These aren't a crutch, but a rope to grab and use to yank yourself further above the steep cliff you find yourself climbing currently."
"Your talents, diligence, attitudes and skills are immaculate, and you are only being held back by your weapons. Thus…" I waved at the gleaming black blades on the table, "Plus, these gifts have an ulterior motive. Can you guess it?"
Luo Fan scrunches his brows in thought, but the one to answer is one of his brothers, the biggest and tanned among them, "It is to evoke jealousy." He spoke, voice sharp and confident, "Or… To set it on fire."
Luo Fan looked at his brother in confusion, "Jealousy? But why-" He pauses, and his eyes widen in realization.
"Since you came here, you overshadowed everyone." I pointed out, "You aren't the strongest, nor the most numerous, but your skills and abilities have left everyone in the dust."
"During your first training, you nearly overwhelmed your Jianqshi General opponent. You've trained without breaks, you've faced your losses with humility and only grew from them."
I cross my arms behind my back and smile, "You've been shining so brightly that you've taken the attention off the two ladies receiving special training, and this of course caused those once prideful talented people from other Mythologies to be jealous of you."
Because of course I'm going to be saddled with a bunch of jealous children that easily have their low self-esteem wounded from every minor thing someone else does.
"And we defeated that surprise monster of yours too…" Luo Fan points out, shoulders sagging.
By the time the Grafted Monstrosity fell, their group was still standing. All still standing, while others were fractured or had already been defeated completely.
That made them stand out. A lot.
"Hence, those who stand out get rewarded." I nod at the blades, "Once you are seen with these, it'll evoke further jealousy. You'll be confronted, antagonized, and challenged."
I give each of them a fierce grin, "I want you to beat them into the ground as effortlessly as you can, with as few attacks as possible."
Luo Fan isn't fully convinced, "But won't that cause… Problems?"
"Not really. There's nothing like jealousy to start off some intense competition and make them all train until they can't breathe." I explain with a shrug. Plus, if it did demotivate them, it gave me reasons to kick them off and send them home. I don't want losers that mope around and drag everyone down with them just because they cannot handle losing.
"But, if you want to prove yourselves first, then I have a challenge for you all." At that, they all perked up, clearly preferring earning these blades in such a way.
"The first Gate is soon approaching, and I'll talk about it soon enough." I grab the tarp and move it to cover the gleaming black blades once more, "During the battle, my challenge for you is this. Fight until you pass out. Until your blades break. Until your very Soul is exhausted."
"You retreat or take even a momentary break, you lose the chance to wield these blades forever." I look each of them in the eyes, "How about it? Think you can handle it?"
Of course, I'm not doing this to convince them to take up the blade I've had the Forging Sect create. Cultivation advances through intense battle, after all.
Already they've grown by leaps and bounds in battles where their life was guaranteed to not be taken, but on the field? Where they grow more tired while each enemy is still at full strength? That will push them more and more.
I want to wring out every ounce of potential within these guys, because the brighter they shine, the greater the competition and the fire that will be lit under the asses of all the others.
Because everyone here wants to bring back the highest amount of accomplishments to their Faction, so to lord it over all the others.
Stupid, but can work in my favor if I know how to use these prideful, arrogant minds properly.
The Ten Swords bowed, cupping their fists and lowering their heads, "We won't disappoint you, Senior Brother!" Ah, always refreshing to be called that.
I nod with a smile, then shoo them away, "Then go rest. I want you guys at your absolute peak, understood?" They nodded and quickly departed, their posture rigid but faces excited.
Mhm, they are good kids. Reliable too. I'll likely have Lu Bu give them a few tips soon, so to push their growth even further.
I watched them go until they vanished from view… Then sagged my shoulders with a pout and kicked the table, "Damn cool ass guys, refusing my offer and being all magnanimous about it."
Yes, I did not expect them to actually feel like they weren't ready about the blade. Honestly? I'm proud of them.
It did irk me a tiny bit, though. Hence, the challenge.
"What are you grumbling about?" I turn and blinked, my foot being half-way to kick the table again.
Changli was standing where the Ten Swords were just moments prior, her clothes loose and her beautiful hair free and pouring down her back and shoulders.
I narrowed my eyes at her… Then grabbed her cheeks and squished them, "Uweeeh!?" There, now I feel a lot better.
I sigh and smile, releasing a startled and pouting Changli while feeling so much better, "Truly, bullying my lovely Alchemist is the way to a long life!" Changli, of course, harrumphs and stomps her foot on mine.
"And here I came with a gift, you prude!" I chuckled and pulled her into my arms, where she simply rained her fists on my chest for a good few seconds, "All my hard work, and I get bullied for it…"
"As your lovely self deserves!" Another cute harrumph and stomp on my foot is Changli's very mature answer.
"So, what's this gift? That Soul Pill you were making?" It was a Pill that even Yi Xuan salivated over, but Changli only had enough to make one since a major ingredient takes a lot to mature.
And to be extra careful and make sure the Pill came out as perfect as possible, she spent a great deal of time in seclusion with her furnace. Either practicing or just doing it in one go.
"That's part of it." Pulling back, Changli releases a small ornate box from her spatial ring, but holds back from giving it to me with a glare, "This is a Soul Refining Pill, Scaith. You take this, and it'll put you out of commission for a while, so pick the right time. With all the energies it'll have to refine, I'd say a few days to a week."
Not too bad. I'll have that and more after the Special Gate is dealt with.
The inside of the box held a single small Pill the size of a nail, cold mist flowing from it, the inside a murky white that made my head throb just by staring at it. So I closed the box and stored it away.
"And the other thing?" At that question, Changli grinned.
"I finally perfected that Cultivation Method I gained from the Flood Dragon you gifted me." I blinked at that. She had been working hard on it, and had been something she shared with her countless pets and beasts, with her Flood Dragon having reached an incredibly high level of strength thanks to it.
Closing her eyes, I watched as the air around Changli warped from heat. I could hear the rush of her blood, the loud thrumming of her heart, and the scent of blood filling the air as a deep red light glowed deep inside her chest.
It looked like her heart, but I could see strange golden markings within the glow, even through her clothes and chest.
"I went at it the wrong way back then." Changli speaks, the glow and surging heat receding as she breathes out, "I had this Core be created through Blood and Qi, but it always felt lacking, or sometimes advancing a single Stage gave no increase in strength."
"It was only when the Soul of my Flood Dragon grew stronger thank to Yi Xuan that I had an idea, and started all over again. This time, I fused Blood, Qi and Soul together, and as you can see…" She waved at her chest, grinning proudly as I cupped my chin in thought.
"What does it do, exactly? Make the body stronger?"
"It creates another Organ." She corrects, making my eyes widen, "It's… Hard to explain, but it basically makes the body perfect. No waste, mobilizes Qi through the body and Soul by itself, constantly purges the body of impurities, and optimizes everything."
"You recover faster, you are always in a battle-ready state without consequences, you sleep better, you process food better- Scaith, my Flood Dragon is stronger than Serafall before she became a Super Devil."
That's… Holy shit. That's an enormous increase in strength.
"Is it really that good? Or is there a difference between monsters and people?" Changli nods, and my shoulders sag lightly.
"The enhancement is gargantuan for beasts, while for those like us… While not grand, it offers… Other advantages. For one, it makes the need to Cultivate and even using Pills nearly obsolete. With this Core, you'll always be Cultivating passively."
Still, there were no downsides. I guess this type of Cultivation Method came from a world where beasts were the predominant species, or this was just their personal Cultivation Style.
And if I can give this Core to my Jianqshi army, alongside their already existing Necrotic Cores… Yeah, that'll be an enormous increase in power.
"You should share this with Tio, and teach it to one of my Jianqshi so that my entire army can learn the process." I should have my Undead Minions learn it too, in fact.
Changli tilts her head, "Won't you learn it?" I shake my head with a smile and take one of her hands in mine, moving to leave the room behind.
"It is too risky for me. I'd rather not mix my Soul and Necrotic Qi with the blood of the Infinite." Something inside me told me it would be a catastrophic event. In fact, best if Mugen didn't do this either. Not that he needed it, since he is a sorcerer.
Changli hummed in realization at that, "Maybe I should spread this among Fleur's army too? Me and Yi Xuan can likely think of a medicinal garden and Formation combo that can speed up the process of creating this Core."
Man, I love when she starts talking about her passion. She gets those cute smiles and soft voice that just make me- You know what, fuck it.
"You know, there is also something we should do." I state as I come to a pause, her cute face perking up and turning to look at me in interest.
"What's that?" Oh, you silly beautiful woman.
I, of course, don't answer with words, and instead tilt her chin up and kiss her.
Changli locks up, face going as red as a tomato instantly.
I break the kiss after just a moment, and give her a light wink, "This. I think I kept you waiting long enough."
Changli jumped back, one trembling hand covering her mouth, the other pointing at me accusingly.
I just grinned, her face so stupidly adorable that I wanted to kiss her again- "Igottago!" Ah, she fled- And now she stopped.
I watched as Changli stopped, fussed with her clothing, turned around, marched up to me, grabbed my collar, smashed our lips together for a second, then released me with an intense look in her eyes, "I'm getting more later."
And then she fled again, and I was left quite… Surprised. And feeling a phantom ache in my hips.
Mhm… Yeah, I'm in danger, aren't I?
Well, I shall welcome death by snu-snu anytime. As any man worth their salt would.
Shaking my head, I retire to a personal training room. One that was already occupied by Lu Bu's towering form, sat on the ground as if in meditation.
I stared at my longest surviving Undead Minion, quiet as always, but as loyal as can be. Though, recently he felt… Conflicted. There was something eating away at him, and I had an inkling on what it was.
I've strengthened him a great deal several times. He didn't grow through his training, but by being granted power by me. I think that either wounded his pride… Or made him feel inadequate.
"You worry too much, Lu Bu." The towering warrior stirred, head rising from its slouch as my words rang out in the empty dark room, "You've hit a slope. It happens. You still remain the greatest Touki user in history, with no one being your equal."
I move until our eyes meet, glowing crimson-green ones meeting my peculiar pupils with calm, "You simply require a challenge like no other. One that will push your mind and Touki to limits you cannot even conceive."
My lips spread into a grin, my magic flaring as my suit of armor and scythe manifest around me and in my grip, "'Tis why we are leading this expedition. To find those that can push us to the point where we can finally bring down that damnable Dragon."
I flicked my scythe, beckoning him to rise, "Come now, I want to test how good this new armor is."
Lu Bu grins at that. It was a very feral grin, one that a servant shouldn't wear on their face.
Especially at the mere thought of punching their Master around.
But hey, at least the armor made out of Xuanwu's body helped!
~XXX~
There was no announcement. No meeting at the War Table. No strategy. Nothing.
Instead, they had all been gathered on the head of the immense turtle, and made to face the horde slowly approaching their position.
Before them, the horizon was filled with Giants. Their skin blue, their hair white, and their presence dropping the temperature to glacial levels, leaving behind a frozen wasteland in their wake.
Each one was over twenty meters tall, looking like a man carved out of pure ice, their skin looking more like a see-through crystal than an actual body of flesh and blood.
Their faces showed no emotions, and the Giants just… Walked, mindlessly, the gargantuan crack that brought them into their Reality slowly drifting behind their immense army, sticking to a titan whose body reached the very clouds above.
Below them was an immense canyon, deep and wide enough that nearly a hundred Giants could enter it shoulder to shoulder. It stretched long and wide behind them, way beyond the horizon, and kept on going and going.
Slowly, two-hundred heads turned to stare at Scaith, who simply smiled at them.
"You've been complaining, loudly, and constantly." His hand waved at the canyon below, and many winced, while more glared or scoffed, "Here's your chance to prove yourselves. You think my Jianqshi Generals beating you to the ground over and over was a fluke? Then go down there, and prove it."
His hand raised, finger pointing towards the frozen horizon and marching army, "There's roughly one-hundred thousand Frozen Giants. Go on and awe me, will you?" He stepped back from the edge, voice and face calm, but for many it felt mocking. It was mocking.
They all came here to achieve and earn untold glories for their respective Factions, to come back as Heroes that would go down in history.
And instead, all they got was beating after beating, silent dismissal and further agonizing tortures. Back home they were lauded as the greatest talents and strongest members of their Faction, while here they didn't even earn Scaith's disappointed gaze.
Li Lu stood aside, the Ten Swords standing behind her and ready to move. Her hands worked her pale sleeves, the weight of her odachi forgotten behind her hips.
Her gaze flicked to the woman standing beside Scaith, her teacher, his terrible Blade. Antares.
Tall, beautiful, with a skeletal tail swaying slowly behind her, and her own long odachi at her right hip.
Antares' cold gaze flicked, and their eyes met. For a moment, Li Lu quivered under the sharp tension, before her 'teacher' gave her a minute nod holding an unspoken demand.
'Do not disappoint my Master.'
Li Lu gulped and closed her eyes to take a slow, calming breath. These days were pure, utter agony. She fought, and fought, and fought. She swung her blade until her palms cracked and the handle of her odachi was covered in blood.
She moved until her sandals were consumed and she was left working with her bare feet.
She traced Antares immaculate sword arts until her eyes burned from not blinking from hours on end.
She complained. She fought. She complained even more. And she fought, and fought, and swung her damnable sword.
But was she ready?
The answer was a big, fat, loud No. Li Lu held no confidence in herself, while she was unaware of the unshakable confidence in her Antares herself had.
The girl saw herself as holding on. Antares saw a monster that matched her, when the only one upon the floating turtle's body able to be her match was Lu Bu himself.
Of course, she never spoke her assessment out loud. It was a must that Li Lu figure it out herself, and that she stopped looking at her talents as something horrible.
The silence atop the turtle's head was tense, and was broken by someone stepping forward first.
Augusta marched forward, eyes narrowed and confident. A smile bloomed on her lips as she stepped past Scaith, tossing him a thankful wink before calling forth her Sacred Gear.
With a crack of orange lightning, the Sword of Kings manifested in her hands, much larger and longer than before, holding pieces of claws and teeth and scales of countless random monsters.
Each prize came from Hunter's body, from the countless forms Augusta had slain in her training.
In total, she had killed more than seven-hundred different manifestations, while her record of most killed one after the other was close to reaching two-hundred.
Scaith grinned and watched her step off Xuanwu's head, then fall down like a meteorite. Orange lightning crackled and rumbled as she landed, stabbing the blade into the earth at the very entrance of the canyon and awaiting the arrival of her enemies.
Li Lu watched the confident woman step forward, gritted her teeth, then followed suit, "Ten Swords, with me." She commanded, voice sharp as she rushed forward and jumped off, her subordinate disciples rushing after her.
This caused the many others to rush forward and leap off, the silence broken by roars and shouts of confidence and pride, which wouldn't last long.
Scaith turned around and nodded his head. Dozens of Forging Sect disciples descended down at the entrance of the canyon too, but their excitement to get to work soon died due to a simple order given to them by Scaith.
"Only fortify the area if someone says so." And as they looked around at the jeering, cheering, and arrogant youths ahead of them awaiting the arrival of the Frost Giants… They felt their stomachs sink lower and lower.
Up above, Michael grimaced, "They are in over their heads, and not using everything they have at their disposal…" He palms his face, then gently holds Asia back.
The young Nun looked confused, as she had been moments from flying down to offer her healing. The one to answer her was her fellow Nun, Vladilena, "They have grown used to you being there to heal them, Sister." Her peculiar pupils glowed, gaze fixated on the distant approaching army, "They must learn 'tis not a commodity during a real battle."
Gabriel nods, hugging the two women gently with a sweet smile on her face, "Vladi is right, Asia. Since Scaith's training did not fully crush them… Then this is the only way they may learn their worth."
Asia curled her wings around her and fiddled with the pristine white feathers, "...But what if someone dies?"
Scaith hums softly and crosses his arms behind his back, "Then the lesson will be thoroughly learned, and I'll bring them back to life. This once. After this, death will be permanent, even with me here." Because he refused to let the egos of meddling Gods get in the way of stopping the Apocalypse.
The Olympians and Norse weren't a problem. Zeus and Hades were massively on his side after what he had done for them, and he also had the support of countless more Gods since he made their Death trivial.
The Norse Group instead was less problematic, and nearly matched the Ten Swords in discipline. As long as they had alcohol and a good fight, they behaved well.
"...I don't like it." Asia mumbled softly, then pouted when Scaith chuckled.
"Then it is a good thing that you are here to learn too." He winks at her, before moving to gaze down at the soon to be battlefield below. "Now then… I bet they won't last half an hour."
Gabriel's hand shot up, "Twenty minutes! If I win, I get another Unicorn!"
Michael sighed with a fond smile… Then joined in, "Fifteen minutes. Miss Li Lu and Augusta will likely be the last one standing." As the Taxiarch, the leader of the Heavenly Host armies, he had just the eye for such things.
He could tell who was going to fall first. He could already see the tension building below. He could tell how the arrogance and eagerness was wilting under the approaching pressure of the Frost Giants.
They may be around High Class and low Ultimate Class… But when tens of thousands of those beings released that aura all at the same time? It had a much, much greater effect.
And it changed when that aura, released carelessly and without a target, ended up finding it.
Blue faces shifted, scrunching with mindless rage, before harrowing roar shook the land, and the Frost Giants stopped walking… And started running.
Their charge shook the land, a loud boom-boom-boom filling the skies, each heavy and glacial stomp crushing the arrogance and confidence of the warriors standing at the entrance of the canyon.
"If they are smart, they'll use the canyon as a choke point. Fall back as they fight." Antares mused aloud, sitting at the edge of Xuanwu's head with cold and sharp eyes.
Gabriel sighs softly, "But they aren't smart… Now? Now they are afraid."
Down below, Li Lu tensed, and watched the Giants charge. She felt the biting cold against her face, watched the frost cover the ground way before the monsters even reached them.
Her eyes turned towards the still calm and ready Augusta, "Big Sister…" The orange haired beauty perked up and turned towards Li Lu, a gentle look in her eyes, "Do you think we can win?"
Surprisingly enough, Augusta chuckled softly, "Win?" She shook her head and grinned, "Impossible. We'll lose, and quickly… But I'm not going to stop until I pass out or die."
Li Lu gulped and turned back towards the charging beasts, now so, so much closer.
She was so going to make her Father pay for this for sending her to this hell…
The first Frost Giant stomped within reach, and Augusta moved first, wrenching her blade out of the earth as orange lightning crackled. The ground below her feet burst apart as she launched herself forward, armored boot smashing into the chest of the Frost Giant with a deafening bang.
The chest cracked and caved in as if made of crystals, dense frost crawling up her long legs before her blade cleaved through the air. The roar of the Frost Giant was silenced as half of its skull slid off, pale blue blood gushing out in rivers before freezing in the air and falling down as glimmering crystals.
Her blade changed, a pale blue shard joining the mess of other spoils of victory attached to the main blade.
Her white tunic flapped in the frigid air, her eyes sharpening as she leapt into the fray before her first victim fell to the ground.
A crackle of lightning, then the boom of thunder. A roar of agony was followed by a giant arm flapping through the air, then the roar was cut short as the giant was bisected in half.
Augusta let out a slow breath, then tensed when more Giants stomped forward, one of them rearing its fist back- Before a flash of light and sharp screech turned it into minced meat.
Li Lu landed gracefully near her, gaze nervous, hand on her sheathed odachi. Augusta watched as two giants drew closer, and the nervous girl simply walked through them, their bodies falling apart, cut so fast and so fine it took moments for them to come apart.
The sight awed Augusta, before she grinned and moved to match the nervous girl. And in turn, Li Lu wanted to match Augusta's confidence, the Ten Swords keeping up with them, and the rest of the two-hundred strong army spreading and attacking their own targets.
Scaith palmed his face, watching them charge out of their possible and very useful choke-point instead of abusing it to not get tired as fast.
Antares watched, then sneered, "Wasting too much energy for each kill." He assessment was swift and cruel, but precise.
Michael could only agree, "She's right. Their defense isn't that great, their bodies aren't hard, but they attack expecting they are." He sighed, crossing his arms while tapping his fingers on his biceps, "They don't pay attention to their own attacks, don't watch how they go through, how much damage they do, the impact. If they did, they'd have refined each blow. Less energy wasted for a more precise and swift kill."
Antares pointed down below, at the entrance of the canyon, "The Forging Sect disciples have taken apart the corpses, found the weaknesses, but the fools are too busy chasing glory and victory. They aren't employing the skills of their allies, nor working together, nor seeking knowledge about their enemies. 'Tis deplorable and a waste of my Lord's time."
Scaith sighed through his nostrils and watched the mess below. Each group from each Faction had their own 'area'. They didn't work together, didn't focus on finding the weaknesses of their enemies and sharing them, they just… Fought. Mindlessly attacking just for glory and for the satisfaction of the kill.
So much energy wasted, and barely two hundred Giants killed.
Beside Asia, Vladilena watched it all, gaze calm and sharp, the numbers within her eyes flickering as her Sacred Gears worked automatically. "The heart is the core of their being. Strike it, and they come apart." Heads turned her way, but she kept studying her targets. "The Giants are Golems, their real body is the Heart. Some manner of Ice Spirit creating a shell to protect itself. The 'corpses' around them with still intact hearts aren't fully dead. They are just recovering from debilitating damage."
Scaith hummed, but let the Nun go, eyes focused on the battle but ears focused on her voice, "No- Not Ice. They sap heat from their surroundings, turn it into energy for their 'Core'. It is their life-blood, but… They cannot wield it, it is passive." Her gaze was locked on the battlefield, eyes narrowing faintly, "The longer the battle goes on, the more the heat is sapped from them. They will lose, faster and faster."
The battle below raged on, and on. A minute passed, then two, then five.
Then, finally, someone died.
It was before the eyes of many. A Greek warrior leapt too high, too far, too confident- And a giant hand swatted him down like a fly. His body was broken, shattered, and he died on impact.
The battlefield stilled with shock… And then the horror and fear came, like an unseen tide. Like a cruel hand gripping their hearts in a grip colder than the glacial air the Giants brought with them.
Another death came from a 'dead' Giant. Someone charged over the fallen corpses- Only for one of them to rise, missing the top half of its skull, and bite its target in half.
Death caused panic. Panic caused fear. Fear caused more deaths.
And then came the screams.
"Lady Asia!"
The nun whimpered and clasped her hands together, prayers flowing past her lips.
"Lady Asia!" The scream came again, blood-curling, and it was like a slap to Asia's face. Tears flowed down her face even as Gabriel hugged her gently, but the comfort did little, "Your Healing-" The voice went quiet. Abrupt, fast, merciless.
Asia held back a wail and nearly collapsed to her knees.
Michael sighed softly, while Scaith remained expressionless, watching as more warriors died down below.
Some died crying. Some died raging. Some died trying to flee.
Augusta knew instantly that they were failing. Failing oh so horribly. But there was nothing she could do, as she couldn't lead these fools until they faced this complete loss that fully shattered their… Everything.
Only when they had nothing else to cling to could she start her rise and stand above them. Lead them, like she did with the reformed Spirit Inheritors after she felled that spear-wielding fool.
Still… She was oh so cold. Each breath was agony. Each swing of her blade made her arms feel so much heavier. Each felled beast was a small victory, but not complete.
Now, she was aiming for the heart, and the Spoil of War on her blade grew more complete. Her blade grew sharper, mightier, heavier… It was agony.
A nice kind of agony that brought a wide, feral smile on her race.
Her cooling blood sang, and she refused to stop. It was exhilarating. Fulfilling. One beast at a time, she finally felt like she was achieving something, doing something good for the world.
Each kill was one less monster populating the Underworld. One less victim it could claim. One less disease walking around.
Another swing, another beast was toppled, twelve more surrounded her. Augusta breathed out, eyes seeking any ally close by even as giant fists rained down on her.
She realized she extended too far too late- But a sharp sound cleaved the giants apart, saving her from sure death. Li Lu landed nearby, her usually pristine white robes now smeared in dirt, frost, and frozen blue blood.
Her eyes were hollow, her breath coming out in heavy pants, her odachi danced and danced even as the skin of her palms was peeled away little by little.
And yet, when those hollow eyes moved to meet Augusta's, the red-haired warrior felt a chill go down her spine.
A giant stomped a foot into the frozen earth, roared and smashed its fist down- Li Lu moved, an effortless and seemingly bored swing.
The giant stilled, the world stilled, and all went quiet.
Then Augusta heard it. A hiss, then whistle, then ear-piercing howl.
A thin white line exploded into existence, carved into reality itself, a pure line so perfect and immaculate that no sword could ever replicate it.
The land opened. The tide of giants was split in half. The sky was cleaved open, a line of pure black splitting the purple of its skies and pale white clouds.
Antares leaned forward on her perch, a satisfied smile on her face.
Augusta watched as the odachi nearly slipped out of Li Lu's bleeding fingers, and despite her how tired and cold body, rushed forward to support the girl, "Easy…" She whispered, and the girl whined softly.
"Big Sister, I'm tired…" Augusta laughed softly, using the blow Li Lu had unleashed to jump back, putting some space between her and the giants. It didn't matter.
"Tired is good." Augusta whispers, voice rough, arm holding the Sword of Kings so impossibly tired and heavy, "Tired means you're alive."
Li Lu stirred, and the hand holding her blade clenched. Moved to fight and swing once more, "I want to be like that Big Brother up there…" The red-haired warrior chanced a glance back and above, where Scaith was still watching calmly.
"Yeah… He's cool, isn't he?"
Li Lu hums, a soft sound drowned out by the roars of giants, "He's persistent. He keeps going forward." She raised her blades, "He felled a Primordial and turned it into a flying city." They shared a soft laugh at that. "He could do this by himself, but he is wasting time with us."
Slowly, the two moved to stand shoulder to shoulder. Tired, weak, cold, but ready to kill even more.
The giants marched upon them, unstoppable, still numerous, always at the peak of their power.
It took Augusta but a few more moments to realize that the sound of battle had ended. And the answer for that was chilling.
They were the only two left still standing.
"Makes you want to not disappoint him, eh?" Augusta chuckled, and Li Lu nodded, their blades rising as giants leapt for them-
And with a flash of light, they were gone.
Li Lu and Augusta crumbled to their knees upon the hard stone of Xuanwu's back, a pale white mist flooding around them as more and more figures crumbled out of it.
Before them, Scaith lowered a golden cup.
The eyes that not even ten minutes ago were staring at him with arrogance and anger now were hollow, lost, terrified. They all crumbled to their knees, but couldn't look away from his face.
"Now you understand how worthless you are." He spoke. It was no insult, as he was merely stating a fact.
No one winced. No one dared to glare. They all just listened, for they knew that he was right.
"Fine blades are forged under immense heat and pressure." His gaze swept across all of them coldly, "Your Factions threw filth at my feet expecting me to make use of it."
"My General beat the filth off the raw ores. This battle was a forge to heat you up, break you down into your barest elements."
Another look, this time heavy and sharp and giving them an ultimatum, "Now comes the pressure. The hammering to force out the impurities. The forging required to make a blade meant to be wielded until it breaks."
"If you want to quit, then tell me now so you don't waste my time. I will not bring you back to life once more, so either you get good… Or you die in battle-" Instantly, Scaith lifted a hand a pointed a lone finger, "And make Asia cry again, you dimwits!"
Asia, still teary-eyed, stilled and perked up, a cute and small "Eh?" Leaving her lips.
The sound, so soft and weak, followed by her soft sniffles, had the desired effect.
All eyes instantly gained their light back at the sight of their loving Angel crying tears for them, and two-hundred idiots rose, roaring to the high Heavens at their weakness and shame and cowardice and fear and plenty more slurs at each other that forced Vladilena to cover Asia's ears.
Scaith stilled at the chaos, at the way all the Factions members started arguing with each other, at the way they started coming up with strategies.
Strategies to 'come back to their Angel' and not about achieving victory against their enemies.
A smirk covered his face. A very, very evil smirk, and he moved to join Asia's side and whisper something in her ears. The poor nun flushed, fumbled with her robes, her beautiful wings quivering… Before she put on a determined face and stepped forward.
"Everyone!" All eyes snapped towards Asia, who pumped her fists and sent a smile that could put the Sun to shame towards them, "Work hard! I believe in you!"
Two-hundred idiots fell in love all over again. Some started crying and considered joining God's side. Some held their hearts and keeled over. Some bled from their nostrils and eyes at the purity before them.
But Asia wasn't done, and she spoke up again, voice quivering, "O-One week!" She shouted, small finger pointing at the canyon below, "In one week, the Giants will reach the end of the canyon! Train hard so that you can beat them up and come back alive, okay!?"
Scaith was enlightened right then and there.
"Scaith, no." Michael's voice came out as a desperate whisper.
But alas, it was too late.
"I shall fund the creation of the Church of Asia." He spoke, eyes manic, grin wide and feral, "I'm gonna use it to turn these incompetent fucks into useful bastards, hehehehe…"
Michael shuddered, just as someone in the crowd raised their voice and cried out "Praise Lady Asia! Our Angel!", which swiftly became a loud chant.
Asia, sweet innocent dumpling that she was, did not see the sheer zeal within the eyes of the idiots before her.
Instead, she just raised her hands high with a wide, radiant smile and cheered too, "Yay! Let's defeat these meanies, everyone!"
"We'll fuckin' kill 'em all!"
"Yayyy~!" Vladilena was covering Asia's ears once more. All the poor girl saw was people cheering, so she cheered too.
On the side, Augusta and Li Lu shared a disturbed look with tired eyes. Then they shrugged in unison, and collapsed unconscious in a heap right after.
A lone Angel cheered, and behind her, the Taxiarch was trying and failing to convince the Necromancer to not create a Church of zealous fools.
To save the world, one must use any means necessary, after all.
A.N. Scaith accidentally creates zealots.
Asia, God-Empress of Humanity.
Behold.
Hey, at least zealots work hard. Look at Warhammer 40k.
Dude went 'I don't wanna be worshiped!'
And now look at the state of humanity.
You know for a fact God is very cross with Scaith right now.
Michael's about to cry too. Poor dude.
Either way, hope y'all enjoyed this chappy!
Will be back soon with another!
Toodles!
