Warlock - The Many Patrons (Patreon)

Sometimes your Warlock needs help that an alien god cannot provide. For them, there's Patreon, where ordinary citizens can pledge their support!

First post to Patreon to give all visitors an idea of the type of things I make. Hope you have fun playing this warlock.  I create all this content for free, but I would appreciate any donations. Stay tuned for more!

This warlock subclass shifts the focus of eldritch source away from aberrations or powerful friends from the other side. Instead, it offers a light-hearted take on the warlock where they must put in the work to convince ordinary people to support them. It allows for fun roleplay moments everywhere the warlock goes.

This subclass kit includes a strong 1st-level ability that scales as the warlock levels, which is typical of other warlocks subclasses. The warlock gets a gradually decreasing boost to their ability check and attack, starting with a d6. The d6 is slightly stronger than a 1st level proficiency bonus (+2), but balanced by limited usage. The fun comes from a mechanic in which the warlock can ask people for help to use the feature again.

The 6th-level feature is a protective ability, again typical of other warlocks' features for that level like Archfey or Fiend. Similarly, the 10th-level feature is a defensive ability typical of other warlocks. While other warlocks may get a resistance (Fiend, Great Old One), this warlock gets to avoid damage by being very sneaky.

Lastly, the 14th-level feature is a one-use feature similar to other warlocks (Fiend, Raven Queen, etc). Its damage is comparable to the Fiend's (8d10 as opposed to the Fiend's 10d10), with an added debuff on the enemy. All in all, this should make for a very fun play session!
