[Cosmos] Item - Orbital Ring (Patreon)

This lovely orbital ring creates an ... orbital ring around you. Harness dunamancy to protect yourself from projectiles and other incoming objects. Use the slingshot principle to launch them back at your enemies!

I guess my creative process just involves coming up with a punny name and then designing everything around it. :/

The tidbit of lore here is in the strange markings on the ring's black material. In my mind, the black material is what grants this ring its power, and the inscribed markings are a different type of arcane rune.
