Want a surefire hiccup remedy? Plug your ears with your index fingers and your nose with your thumbs (or vice-versa), close your eyes, take a deep breath, and hold it for as long as you can with your tongue pressed against the roof of your mouth, ideally for 1 minute or more. Fight through the hiccups as best you can, and when you have to breathe again, they’ll 100% be gone. Sounds weird, but it’s worked every time for me and others I’ve taught the trick to.
