We never get the confirmation, that every demon is absolutely evil. It's all only Frieren's knowledge and experience. I feel like it's not bad that the demon child feels the murderous intentions of the parents and wants to compensate for what she did. I mean the method she chose was not ideal, but to me it feels more like a girl with... let's call it emotional disability just wants to fit in and completely f-ed up. I think I could totally see an anime or at least a novel where the MC adopts the demon and just stops her every time she tries to do something bad and explaines why it is bad. Though this does require the MC to be strong enough to stop her and vigilant enough to catch her every time she tries something.
