Notice all the lights turning green as Araragi talks about saving Hachikugi, new girl just talked last episode about how that's when the world would be at it's most dangerous.

A few trivia comments for anyone interested: 1. Steins;Gate - Since it was mentioned during the reaction (and "Steins;Gate" sort of rhymes with "Shrine Gate," the mode of time travel used here), there was an official "Steins;Gate x Monogatari Series" collaboration at the end of 2024 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of both series. The crossover artwork and merchandise shows characters from Steins;Gate wearing the clothing from Monogatari (and the other way around), so it is fun to see how the characters were paired up (e.g., Makise Kurisu and Senjougahara Hitagi (i.e., both tsundere archetype characters), Shiina Mayuri and Oshino Shinobu (i.e., both like wearing hats)). Shaft did something similar for its 40th anniversary ("Madogatari Exhibition") that had crossover artwork and merchandise for Madoka☆Magica and Monogatari (e.g., Shinobu dressed as a Magical Girl, Senjougahara swapped with _redacted_ (same VA), Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade swapped with _redacted_). 2. The Anime Reference - Based on the art style of Araragi flying through the air while commenting on the time travel genre, it might be a reference to the movie Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time). Check out the cover art on Anilist, as it looks similar to this scene. Interestingly, Steins;Gate also made a reference to this movie when the lab members were holding a roundtable meeting to decide on the official name for the D-Mail (DeLorean Mail) technology: Daru suggests "The Mail That Leapt Through Time" as a possible name. 3. The Police Officer - When a sparkle is shown in the officer's eyes at the police station (i.e., after Araragi and Shinobu were tricked by young Hanekawa into going there instead of the Tsunade residence), the eye color looks like that of Araragi's mother's eyes, but Araragi's behavior does not noticeably change during the scene to indicate that he had recognized the officer. The eye sparkle effect could be hinting at their relationship, but it could also mean that the officer has her eyes on Araragi because he seems extremely suspicious.

He has not dropped Monogatari btw. It's been put on hold on account of the new anime season, with one of the reasons it has not been dropped being its success here on Patreon, along with his enjoyment of the series. In fact, his language talking about the show implies he intends to finish it but will be taking his time.
