The original intent for the Heaven's Feel was for the Einzbern's to attain the 3rd Magic, Heaven's Feel, and to cast it upon the whole of humanity, to materialise all the souls of humanityand turn everyone into ascended spirits. Immortal beings that last forever and no longer needing any mortal desires, ridding humanity of both its evil and its good.

What I love about Kirei is that he's a mirror of Shirou in almost every way. He was a man born with an evil nature only able to derive pleasure from the suffering of others. Having grown up learning good as a man of the cloth, Kirei came to despise himself as everything he was taught that was evil he innately found pleasure in, being completely disgusted with himself. Seeing himself as evil but holding morals of a saint, Kirei was originally going to off himself being trying one last time to find good in himself by falling in love. And Kirei did end up falling in love, however thanks to his nature, the more he fell in love, the more he wanted to kill the one he came to love, and since normal love doesn't involve the desire to kill your loved ones, Kirei subconsciously rejected his own love, believing what he felt couldn't be love as love (in his belief) shouldn't be something that was so twisted. Command spells then appeared on Kirei's hand pretty much right after his wife died. Then choosing to hold off his own death so he could figure out why the grail would choose him. It was at the end of Zero, where Kirei met/saw Angra Mainyu, that he saw a being similar to himself. the wish of Angra Mainyu, a being born to be evil like himself. Kirei at that moment, more than anything, wanted Angra Mainyu to be born, not to see the destruction Angra would cause, but to see the aftermath, to see whether the being born to be evil would themselves accept what they are, or would they feel doubt, guilt and shame for their own existence. Angra Mainyu's birth would validate Kirei's existence, whether Kirei was someone who should be allowed to exist or was he just a mistake.

Kirei did not actually care about Angry Mango. When Shirou refused the mapo tofu and said over my dead body in part 1, Kirei took that personaly 🗿

Deadline

Even if Fate 2006 is not a good adaptation, it definitely shows some stuff the other routes gloss over. Sadly idk if the audience here would actually want to watch it.

Pretty happy ending overall, lots of characters got closure that they didn't in other routes, Shinji actually died, Rider didn't get fodderized. Idk though, Sakura herself always seemed like the weakest romance option of the three main girls.

22:35 this scene had nothing to do with Shiro. It was not about his affection. It was family history, tohsaka was always #1 and now sakura is.
