The only confirmation I have seen from manga readers why Kirara is trans is Panda calling her 'he' before. But Panda literally said in some episode I think that he does not understand social cues and human stuff (and even if I am misremembering it it's still Panda and he is not human being and does not understand it 100%). Western fans really love to jump to conclusion the moment they see any possibilities of a trans character. Maybe she is trans and that's okay but since only confirmation I have seen that Panda called her 'he' I just think she was really masculine girl when she was younger (tomboy i guess) and Panda just couldn't understand and called her 'he'! It's just the most logical conclusion. Or maybe she is trans and I am just stupid :D
