We are so back with more peak 🗿🗿

Guy

Lutz did not know original Myne. She was bedridden nearly all the time. Never went to the forest with the neighborhood kids

One of my favorite parts is when Lutz told her to run when the trombe showed up. She was like yeah, then ran 7 steps and immediately collapsed from exhaustion.

It's never really explained in the anime, but Urano did not "take over" Myne's body. At this point she believes that the old Myne died and she took over the body. However, the light novels explain that Urano was transmigrated at birth, but until she came down with the terrible fever we see in the first episode, her past memories were locked away. Myne is a combination of the the 5 years of life that she had before regaining her memories and her old self. Since she has way more memories of her past life, that becomes her dominant personality but the old Myne didn't "die" or "disappear". She and the old Myne are one and the same, even if she doesn't realize it at this point.

This is a good episode to mention: I want to explain a little more about Myne's reincarnation. This is mentioned in the LN initially but is not clearly conveyed in the anime. It is not true that Urano replaced Myne at the age of five after Urano died. There is a chapter from Effa's POV (Myne's mother)where it is mentioned that before Urano's consciousness fully awakened in Myne's body, Myne had dreams of Urano's world. In these dreams, she was able to talk and walk freely, and she told her mother about them. This indicates that Urano reincarnated as Myne from the very beginning, but only gained access to Urano's memories at the age of five. I think their memories fused, but the personality is almost 100% Urano, perhaps with a slight childish influence from the original Myne. The story is told mainly from Myne's POv in the LN, making her an unreliable narrator and sometimes a source of these plot misconceptions. Also, while 95% of Myne mind is an adult, her physical inmaturity makes her behave childish and more emotional. This makes more consistent Myne's behaviour in this story.

Klien morreti also didn't steal the soul, seeing as how he killed himself before zhou transmigrated.

Episode 1 the original myne died.

Actually, there is no "new Myne" nor "original Myne". There was only one soul, just the original Myne with memories of that Japanese girl, and it starts from the very beginning, way before the age 5. So her family noticed her saying things about modern Japan since she can talk. Myne didn’t finish digesting and absorbing all those memories until she was 5. After the moment she fully absorbed those memories, she started to identify herself as the "new Myne".

I only know what’s in the audiobooks available in the UK

what he said is true, there is no new myne. you should keep in mind in the entirety of your journey of bookworm that myne is an unreliable narrator. there is no omniscience in her perspective, what she thinks is true or even hears someone tell how how things are, they arent necessarily true. it is an underdeveloped world after all.
