Remembering how much you liked Kumo Desu Ga and Trapped in Dating Sim, I knew that this anime would at least catch your attention. I'm glad you want to keep watching to catch up to the fourth season. While the first three seasons had mixed animation quality, I'm sure Wit Studio will cook it here, because the story will certainly continue to be top-notch

The stories just begun! LOL! There are 36 episodes with a new season coming out, I believe next month! Just a heads up, episodes 14.5 parts 1 & 2 are cute side stories. You'd be fine without them, but they do give some outside perspective, and you get to know some of the other characters a little better.

A brief explanation of the Crushing for those who wants to know: . . . It is a phenomenon that occurs while a person with mana let's it roam free through their body. In such a state the pressure from the mana easily concentrates as pressure against anyone who the person concentrates on, although presumably the target in question could protect themselves by doing something similar and letting their own 'mana pressure' out. It is not however relieving the person of the mana overflow, since the mana is contained inside still, but could rather be seen as letting the mana burn one's own body for a bit. It is a controlled version of what happens when losing control of the mana; the end result will be death unless one manages to control and contain it again. So unlike the trombe-fruit and magic tools it is not a safe 'outlet' of mana that would save the devouring kids, rather it is more of a weapon that could make those same kids be considered dangerous.

Ok, so this is just a crackhead theory so it could be wrong, but i think Myne has the devouring as a result of the way that Gunther proposed to Effa. Without spoiling anything for parts yet to be animated, by this point in the series a light novel side story of Effa remembering how Gunther proposed to her pointed out how he proposed in a way that a Knight or noble would in order to be romantic. I think this may have exposed them to some amount of Mana causing the devouring in their children. My guess would be that it skipped over Tulli.
