Myne just has no luck with young ones. XoX She wants to be a Big Sis figure so bad too. Well, at least she's making good progress on her printing books journey as a consolation price. Mana sensing follows some pretty strict rules and will be described later on, at least I hope so. Basically it's the equivalent of reaching puberty for nobles. You can't sense anyone and nobody can sense you before that.

20:30 Mana sensing only occurs between adults of similar mana. Myne is not able to sense anyone's mana because she isn't grown up yet. Same for other mana-able kids. Kids with no mana will never sense anyone's mana.

20:00 I think it's the other way around, Ferdinand can't sense Myne's mana, because he was surprised when she revealed it during the Ritual at the end of season 2, and he was surprised she ran out at S3 EP4.

they were comparing how much the two had at birth, he doesn't have as much as current Myne, he has more than she did at that age, at 5 she gained her past life memories and started compressing mana to stay alive and now she has a boatload. As Ferdinand said you would normally start learning this technique in the Academy, which starts at age 10, so she's been doing something crazy from age 5 and just got a crazy amount.
