Damuel is the goat in the light novel. They make him look so incompetent in the anime probably because animating would have cost them more, but there is a reason he is a fan favorite all the way to the end of the series.

I dont believe it's that much of a spoiler. The anime never address this which made it looks like Ferdiand orchestrated all this just to get myne adopted

The High Bishop is noble born, but didn't graduate from the Royal Academy, so is unable to wield a schtapp (the wand). He is only technically a noble, but with no real personal rank or power. Like most Blue Robed Priests, he was sent to the Temple because he was of such low mana as to be a family disappointment. He got to be High Bishop due to high ranking family connections.

It's not in the anime but Jenni and the other high bishop attendants kinda got vaporized by the magic duel at the end. Only those that don't wish to cause harm can pass through the wind shield so they weren't able too go through.

All because he was jealous that he wasn't molested or raped (it's not 100% clear how far she went) by the noble girl he liked. Imagine seeing a guy struggle with trauma from that and getting jealous...

The anime messed up the action scenes so bad. In this episode and also when Myne was ensnared by the trombe. It killed the momentum to have everyone chatting around while she was getting strangled. And this episode was far more tense and suspenseful in the LN, which I really recommend reading for this anime in particular. Also, Gunther's wound did get censored, it was much more gruesome in the LN. We'll see how WIT pulls off all the magic and action in Season 4.

stuff anime downplayed: Gunthers arm brun ( was his hole arm and part of body ), the number of gray rope attendance there, Otto reactions ( he was not just standing and being dumb ) Damuel usefulness ( same problem as with Otto in this ep ) finally the amount of chaos, people died in the LN
