Myne is dead! Long live Rosemyne!

Unrezonable

Frieda will be Damuel’s brother’s Mistress

RadzioxxD

Damn... That was quite an adventure. Now to jump from season three to season four without having to wait all those years for it 🗿

Man the cut content really create some confusions and it's kinda worse in ss4 lol

In the light novel the decision to have Delia go back to the orphanage is actually considered quite cruel. We can see that it is a mercy, and a lot better than the alternative of being executed. To the nobles however, losing your status and forever being confined to the orphanage with no chance to marry with a forever tarnished reputation is worse than death. Sylvester giving her the chance to decide the punishment was a test to see if she could fit into noble society by not being soft on Delia. He was a bit shocked that someone he thought was excessively kindhearted would give such a harsh punishment. One of the many instances where you realize just how differently the nobles think than we do.

Ragon

Amen. Thanks for your time, i've enjoyed it very much.

Cut content; nice notice of the seemingly out of place scene. Damuel was actually much more injured than shown and was sent to his home, of which his elder brother is the head of the family. Frieda is actually contracted with Damuel's elder brother and was visiting their home. She noticed the glowing light from the blessing and went to investigate. She witnessed Damuel's healing and awakening, after which he panicked about Myne's safety and rushed off. This aroused Frieda's suspicion, so that when Myne was announced dead, she checked the magical contract records and they were still intact, so she knew that Myne hadn't died. As to the High Bishop and Sylvester's relationship, the High Bishop is the brother of Sylvester's mother. The High Bishop had been committing low level crimes for quite a while, but his sister Veronica (Sylvester's mother) kept covering for him. This time, the crimes were such that Veronica could no longer cover for her brother, as she had her own problems.

What a great reaction, thank you. Can’t wait for Season 4. The adoption thing will be explained in the first episode of Season 4. Regarding this one, as someone already mentioned, Myne’s judgment for Delia was actually super harsh and she displayed great wisdom. Sylvester was impressed. Delia was so traumatized about the orphanage that going back and staying there forever is her worst nightmare. But she has Dirk now and she will fight her own demons. Bookworm lulls you into its seemingly cute, slow, slice of life pace and then, bam, something happens and you’re reminded how harsh and unforgiving the world is. Killing the whole family was definitely on the table and the only reason they get to live is that Myne is too powerful and would have lost control of her mana, worse than at the end of Season 1.

Man I can never go without tears watching this episode. Such a nice nice finale for Myne. I'm somewhat ahead in the Manga and excited to see Rosemyne especially when meeting Sylvester's family

Irimu

If Rozemyne hadn't intervened Delia would have definitely been executed. She would have been the only one actually because, as I said last episode, the others died during the magic beam duel. Jenni did not walk out of there, she's dead already. And as someone else has already said, Delia did not look thankful for her punishment. She was very much horrified and it's the main reason Sylvester accepted the punishment as severe enough.

Irimu

Small correction: it's not because Myne is too powerful. The crushing is not a threat to anyone with actual combat ability. They let them live because Myne would have been impossible to work with and they need her for the printing industry.

Nym Eria

Yes, that’s what I meant. She would have gone crazy and they wouldn’t have been able to use her.

YB Đăng

Sylvester is already didnt want to tear her family apart like this i dont think he would ever go as far as kill them all lol. Im pretty sure he just said that to make them understand how serious this is and how this is actually mercy of him

Nym Eria

I don’t think so. When it comes down to it, he *is* the Archduke and has to make the tough decisions. It is emphasized later in the later LNs. He doesn’t want to do it but he would have done it if it had been possible / necessary. There’s too much at stake.

Hellasz123

part of the journey is understanding how different nobility is in this world compared to ours. after all, nobles and royalty here were just average humans too. so it seems like a small issue that sylvester adopts myne, but its pretty much unheard of in that world. not sure how well it will be explained in the anime, but for the current anime progress, status is pretty much: archduke > archducal family(ferdinand for example) > archnobles(karstedt) > mednobles(shikza) > laynobles(damuel)

Verols

Subs are straight up lying what’s going on with them, wasn’t the exchange with Gunter when signing the contract was something along the lines of: “You’re supposed to say you want to marry your dad someday” and she replies with that back, which I guess a bit cringe but it’s a common thing with younger kids, but they just invented whole ass new dialogue:D

IronDestiny

iirc there was actually one other of the high bishops's attendants who managed to get past the wind shield, she probably was actually executed though

Garrett

I've noticed most of the subs Caw gets are a bit off most of the time, compared to what you would see on the normal streaming platforms. It feels like fan translation of LN vs official release, but I can only remember a few times where the wording actually caused a misunderstanding.

YB Đăng

i like this translation the most out of many subs ive seen where instead of high priest and high bishop, we have high priest and head priest which is confusing af. I also like the title Archduke more than Lord and from what i remember, musa asia just mistranslated , saying that Veronica is the sister of the purple hair guy instead of the high bishop ???

Verols

I mean it's fine most of the time, I watched cr subs I thinks and they were using high bishop too. It's just that I rewatched this episode like last week and it was fresh on my mind, and I was thrown back a bit by some random new lines, I get localizing a bit where it makes sense but this had nothing to do with what was being said, Gunter randomly threatening to beat up some guy because translator didn't like the line I guess, it's weird
