Morringhan

I was waiting for this react

OmninoVilis

One of this series' greatest strengths is that it doesn't simply copy the medieval setting, like thousands of others do. But rather, it actually explores the morals and social norms of the class system of that era. This is brilliantly woven into the isekai story, as it leads to constant conflicts with the MC's worldview, yet cannot be avoided, since the entire world operates according to these patterns.

Irimu

Wilfried is probably the single most frustrating character in the series and he will stay that way for most of it. Had a pretty shitty ending for him in the web novel too. The web novel is a decent bit more brutal/uncensored as web novels tend to be. I like the light novel better though.

Ferdinand is one of the scariest characters ever. He has the intelligence and sheer mana capacity to do anything he sets his mind to. You do not want to be his enemy. Great analysis of what’s happening here. This is Rozemyne’s reality check.

Why were random peasants even trying to break into the monastery? Those kids were orphaned, they have no connection to those people, if they did then they would have been adopted. And what would they have done if the original noble had purchased the kids? Hit his house?

Chuck

ok, nevermind. The next couple of scenes kind of answered it. From the townspeoples perspectives, those kids are like cattle. The mayor was going to sell a few to get them through the winter, then Rozemyne came and demanded the cattle for herself with no offer of compensation. To them, Rozemyne is a bad guy thief noble. Very creative of this series to depict this situation like that and make Rozemyne stress test her beliefs and values from earth against the values of this world. I love how this series explores things like this. In any other isekai anime, they would just make the mayor the bad guy and kill/humilate him.

Yeah but the nobles are objectively superior because they possess mana and the commoners depend on them from harvesting to protection. That is to say it's not a 1 to 1 comparison to a medieval setting.
