There are books on Feybeasts. At the Royal Academy and also in the different duchies' libraries. And speaking of Feybeasts, they have mana, which differenciates them from regular animals, the same way mana differenciates nobles from commoners. When a living being possessing mana dies, it hardens and transforms into a feystone and the bodies disappear. This is what was going to happen to Rozemyne. She died/almost died several times so she has hardened mana clumps in her body which messes with her health. The mana doesn't flow properly and that's why she can pass out at the drop of a hat. The jureve is supposed to dissolve those clumps so that they can erase her commoner roots for good and give her a clean bill of health. A shame the anime wasn't able to get into more details about the feystone/feybeast/mana thing since everything is linked.

The hardened mana thing was kinda badly explained. The mana that is used for blessings and gets absorbed by Trombe is essentially what I would call liquid mana. It only hardened because Myne "died" before. Old Myne was consumed by the devouring and died. It's only because her soul was strengthened by Urano's soul merging with hers that she didn't die completely. So now there's clumbs of hard mana in her body that hinder her growth and weaken her constitution. They have been there the whole series. Old Myne was only frail, the insane level of frailty that we've seen from Rozemyne during the series until now was because of the mana clumps.

The thing about them setting this stuff up in the early seasons, this is the early seasons. We are on book 8-9 out of 33.

It's not very clear in the anime but the gods are very much real. That story from season 1 on how the seasons happen is most likely true.

You have no idea how much Damuel gets done dirty in this series. His suffering has only begun. The worst part is that his happy ending is only implied and never actually said/shown in the series.

James Yancy

I thought Damuel was the one who killed the earlier evolved one, but several feybeasts ate the dead one so several of them may have evolved. So that might still have been slightly on Damuel, but to be fair it's not easy to target the feystones inside their bodies. On the other hand, the commoner children sometimes hunt Shamils (another kind of feybeast) in the forest. In contrast, they DON'T want to destroy the feystones because they hunt the Shamils for food (otherwise they dissolve too), and sell the leftover feystones to merchants for extra pocket money. Shamils are rather weak for feybeasts and are identical to rabbits, except for the feystone on their forehead.

James Yancy

This is untrue. Urano was ALWAYS Myne. The final severe fever that Myne had merely unleashed Urano's full memory. Myne had always been having flashes of memory of her past life before that. That said, yes the Devouring did take her to the brink of death multiple times. As unlike a noble she was never given a magical tool to manage her mana at a young age, it hardened and caused her frailty and weak constitution. Afterwards, her health relied on a balance of sufficient mana to keep her sufficiently healthy, but not too much, but also not too little or she collapsed. The goal of the jureve is to restore the full health she should have naturally had. Effectively making her a true noble without the frailty due to her early Commoner upbringing.

James Yancy

Yeah, but the same can sort of be said for Rosemyne herself. I mean, you're left knowing where things are going, but the story doesn't actually cover it.

Irimu

The spinoff might so it's a bit different. I'm not up to date with it though.

Ferdinand rn thinking why he even bothers sending Myne out with these bums.
