translation error: it's not "they have summoned" it's "they aim to summon their god, a powerful demon, and plunge the world into chaos." also it should say joined forces with dwarves, not elves... smh crunchyroll...

about the mention of death note, I could probably handle it now, but when I watched it years ago, that scene with the cop's fiance made me so upset I dropped the show 😅

damn caw might be cooking, it didn't occur to me until he said "what did he do with the love energy?", I realized he might have used it to preserve Maria's corpse...

I don't think it's a literal Egg, it's the same as the Demon Lord Seed, which is like a prerequisite to awaken as a True Demon Lord. The subtitles failed to add the word Seed here. It should have said "Think of it as how a Demon Lord Seed becomes a True Demon Lord after awakening."

One more bit of context I found unclear; when Luminous refers to "the demon lords of old", I think she is just referring to her generation of demon lords, and maybe there were more unnamed demon lords that he actually killed, and the three we know of are just those that remain after the dust settled... The reason I bring this up is because there are generations to the Demon Lords; The OG 3, Guy, Ramiris, Milim, all of which are 10s of thousands of years old, and Granville is definitely not stronger than them... Then Luminous' generation which are probably 2000+ years old, and the three I mentioned above are Deeno, Dagrull, and Luminus. Lastly are the new generation, which involved; Carrion, Frey, Leon, Clayman. But recent changes had Clayman dead, and Carrion and Frey dropped the title, so we just have Leon and Rimuru among the newer generation. Now that I think about it, that demon who attacked the wedding might have been a Demon Lord Seed. Because if not she was just wasting her time killing humans and crashing out for no reason. Honestly highly likely given the fact that she was stupid enough to attack a True Hero's wedding ceremony of all things... lmao.

Season 1 Ramiris mentioned how Leon wanted to summon a specific person, then said silly stuff like he cried when she said it's impossible. She also mentioned that Leon was a Hero at first but "fell from grace" and became a Demon Lord, also joking that he might've "copied" her. Since Rimuru thought it was strange the Queen of Spirits was a demon lord, she explained it as a "fall from grace".
