8:30 to expand on what she said here, in the novel it's said more like "you always keep quiet about your feelings and intentions. you don't care how others view you. and that's why she didn't trust you." also idk if you remember but back in s1 shizu explained she didn't hate him or want revenge necessarily, but that she wanted meet him again before she died, wanted to ask him things, and wanted him to acklowedge her existence, stuff like that. because he took on that cold demon lord persona, she couldn't ever trust him as a master, since before she was a hero "eiyuu" she was a servant of him. also the whole thing with ifrit didn't seem like it was Leon's intention, but he also didn't step in to stop it, which he should have imo, but anyway, Ifrit must have just taken it's loyalty too seriously, because it viewed any hostility as a reason to eliminate the lord's enemies. even though it was just a weak little pet. so it seemingly comes down to a lack of communication, leading to misuderstandings and unfornate events. basically my take on leon is he's not a bad person at heart, but is bad at human relations, and in a might makes right setting like tensura, these things happen. i'm guessing shizu also understood this to an extent, which is why she didn't fully hate leon. she just never got the chance to actually talk to him as a person. she also might have done "demon-like" deeds as a "majin" before becoming a hero too, but that's just speculation on my part lol.

peak ep, but one thing i wished they included was raine's reaction to diablo calling it "common sense". “Ridiculous. As long as my faith in my master is deep enough, I can even hold sway over spiritual particles. Common sense, don’t you see?” “Are you insane?! How could that ever be common sense…?!” XD It's basically common sense among rimuru's people, but to others rimuru and his people tend to break common sense alot lol.
