I kind of understand where the Empire is coming from. The terms for the peace negotiations call for a return to status quo, meaning, everything goes back to the way it was before the war. That means, all the aggressors get their territories back and don't have to pay war reparations to the Empire. What Empire gets in return is to not suffer any more losses. Logic would dictate that the Empire should cut their losses before they lose everything, but the terms are so unfair it can be viewed as an insult. I can understand brass not wanting to take that deal and attempting to negotiate better terms (although, with the "Eat shit" reply, that could be a problem). Anyway, if Ildoa did join the war against the Empire, with Italy's WW1 track record, we would just have a season's worth of battles of Isonzo.

It’s funny everything the Italy observer brought up has to do with the real world version of the Hague convention of 1899 and 1907…specifically article 23 (g), article 27 and article 56…it’s even funnier I mentioned about this in season 1 and people where saying I was a moron and this wasn’t a thing it doesn’t apply etc… O how dumb they must feel lol.

True peace demands sacrifice…people are gonna have to make sacrifices to achieve it…true peace has to be on a more even level…otherwise you get things like the treaty of versailles with its complete lopsidedness caused animosity that lead to world war 2.
