it was the best episode so far for me The public opinion bit really showed you why the politicians demand victory so much. The people are mad at the enemies due to the propaganda and having undoubtebly lost a lot. If the propaganda turns out to be false, the people will revolt. It's exactly what was said during the discussion which caused zettour to be sent to the front. The politicians said they could not accept the peace terms because a civil war would happen. This is a good show of why it would happen. Zettour knew this of course (just like everyone else in the army), but he said that it was acceptable since continueing the war would be worse, which is why he got send away to the front. The politicians are obviously trying to save their own skin.

I think that Zettours point by saying "I would have killed you if you said anything else", was that if Tanya said no outright, then she is clearly a blind loyalist that cannot be used for anything, this is obvious. But if she said yes, then she is either just parroting what Zettour would want her to say without thinking for herself like a dumbass, and also more importantly, being so quick and ready to conspire against your own country is the exact opposite of what Zettour wants. You have to remember that almost every side character in the show is a huge nationalist and patriot, they truly love their countries, Zettour included. Zettour does not want a traitor, he wants a true patriot - someone who is torn about the decision between patriotism and what must be done, and would therefore not give an answer. At least this is my take. Now of course, Tanya is anything but that, and has her own logical reasons for doing what she is doing, but still... No one really gets Tanya in the show xD

The secret plan to “bomb the capital” just screamed “false flag operation” to me. As in, obviously I don’t see Tanya and whoever is picked to go with her to just fly in with empire military mage equipment and colors and start blasting. But maybe something like they dress up as federation, uk, republic etc mages and attack. Well idk how they’re going to do it, but if I were to plan it out, this is what I’d do in case Tanya does get spotted.
