This is how the creation of spells works "My lessons with Dia on how to read runes soon began in earnest. There were thirty-six characters. After learning the pronunciations of each, I then had to study how their pronunciations changed when lined up with other characters. It didn’t seem like Dia knew anything about the meaning of each individual symbol, which was a little disappointing. Creating new spells with Spell Weaver looked like it was going to be really hard. There was no way I’d be able to write new spells without understanding the meanings of the runes or the rules behind the language.
