Happy March all! Your friendly local wombat here with what is hopefully the last GOCKHAUS update post before release.

The game is basically complete; I've hit credits, and just have a few things to polish off. I've also been in communication with the voice actors, and most of them are already working on lines.

In addition to Misuzugon voicing Brandi, Yuki will be voiced by Yunadere, Addie by Midnight Datura, Cindy by Chloe Angel, and Thursday by strawbrrytr1pz.

The base game itself will absolutely be done by the end of April, and release is largely dependent on when voices are done. I have a few conditions in mind here:

Most ideally, the VAs will be done with their lines at a reasonable time before the end of April, and I'll be able to implement the audio in time for that release window.

If the audio is finished and delivered to me towards the end of the month and I'm not able to implement it all in time, then I'll delay release by just a week or so to add it all (that means an early May release)

If the voice lines aren't finished or delivered to me by the end of April, then I'll do an early release of a voiceless version here on my support sites ahead of the public release of the fully voiced version.

No matter what, the end is nearer than ever. I know we're all ready for it.As mentioned in my previous post, please comment or DM me if you'd like your name kept out of the supporter credits.

That's all for now! Please look forward to the impending release of GOCKHAUS!

All I know is I'm looking forwards to the big pregnant bellies at the end.

Is the plan to have VAs for BT4 later as well? My silly hope is that we get a character count in BT4 as we had in BT2 but that would mean a shit ton of different VAs.....and money....and a human factor to hope that they deliver on time. If you are going to do this and as a compromise cut down content again as you did in BT3 in favor of animations than I would rather have no VAs and let this be special to Gockhaus only. Anyway congratz on the gold status of your game. I am sure this will turn out great for the futa lover bros and gals.

At this time, I'm not planning on BT4 having much (if any) more voice acting than the previous BreedTown games. Part of this is just for stylistic continuity, and the other reason is, as you said, because of how prohibitively costly and laborious it would be for the scale I have planned. I'm glad I'm adding voice acting to GOCKHAUS, but I was only willing to do it because it's a standalone game with a smaller cast size. Even for GOCKHAUS, it's definitely responsible for a lot of the increase in dev time. I can't say I would do anything differently about GOCKHAUS, because it might be the most satisfied I've ever been with a project, but I do wish I could tell my past self at the start of development "Yeah this is a year long project, not a 3 month one," at least for the sake of managing expectations lol

I’m all fine for VA and stuff but there will be a way to turn it off in settings right? IDK, voices don’t really do it for me in situations like this.

Yes! There’s a “Voices” volume slider in the audio settings, just turn it down to 0 :D

Hey, if you need and want help editing or mixing the VO, let me know. I'm not just a sound effects monkey, but also a dialogue editor and mixer. My offer still stands and I do have some time.
