Woke up to an annoying email this morning notifying me of a temporary restriction on the Google Drive archive. Unfortunately, this means that I won't be able to share anything through it for a month. Possibly this is a sign that I oughta look for a different hosting service for this stuff, like Mega or Dropbox, but for now, there's nothing we can do other than to just wait for the ban to wear off.

I am deeply sorry for the inconvenience.

That sucks, hope you get your files back soon

SYH

Spam policy? Huh.

The files are still there and I can still use the drive like normal, it's just that other people are blocked from accessing it

Yeah I dunno, must've uploaded too much stuff recently and tripped whatever AI they have tracking this stuff now lmao

I see, depending on size. mega does give out 20GB for free iirc and koofer does 10GB free but the plans are cheap per year iirc, haven't used them but for mega, it should be enough

thatcombatwombat

Haven't heard of Koofr before but I just looked it up, might be an interesting alternative if this current situation turns into a bigger issue

Yeah, it's a storage provider in the EU since I recall one of my favorite creators used them before. I can't recall but they do have a lifetime 1TiB deals on SlackSocial for like $130 (now $200 since I checked) otherwise the security is good. For free accounts, the sharing link only lasts 14 days

What the heck! That's bogus! I'm sorry this is happening to you :c

KaosKatsu

I use MEGA myself.
