That ITZY performance at the festival is so emotional because it's Lia's first performance in Japan since her hiatus. I think even Lia cried, but it was edited out. OT5 was finally back. Inkigayo performance today did a slo-mo of Lia breaking her back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byaw0A56nA4&pp=ygUhaXR6eSBnaXJscyB3aWxsIGJlIGdpcmxzIGlua2lnYXlv Also, Jungwon did GWBG challenge with Ryujin today. First ever ITZYENHA tiktok ever. You would love "Walk" on their new album as well. :)

sofia

omg would LOVE for you to check out pop star academy... these girls are sooooo talented

yaaay Adela and Slovakia mentioned!!! (my country... not that I'm proud of it but I'm definitely proud of Adela!!!)๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฐ

johanmoon

I am obsessed with her and her music!!! Well, the 3 songs she has put out so far. THEY'RE ALL AMAZING

faith

"i probably shouldn't sing the whole song, right?" *proceeds to sing along* "okay now one more time without me singing"

Corey

It's a muscle reflex. I'd be concerned if he wasn't singing.

I feel like I'm overdue for some incoherent thoughts. The member order for KATSEYE at the end of the Studio Choom video is Lara, Sophia, Daniela, Yoonchae, Megan, and Manon. Yoonchae is the one who opens the song and has the "jealous of my mansion" line. I didn't try to over do it with this playlist trying to connect things. Some of it is purposeful, but sometimes I do it without even realizing. I put Loossemble right after KATSEYE, because the first person they focus on is Hyunjin. Strawberry tariffs are real. I got a whole pineapple for $2 yesterday though, so that's a good deal. Chuu is one of the sweetest idols I've met. BBC trying to gaslight the public and turn her into a villain is one of the biggest L's they could've taken. Ryan Jhun produced TTYL and Girls Will Be Girls. Anytime you call me a bitch, I take pride in that. It means I've done my job. "This song is kind of growing on me." Burn is great! I think it's elevated by it's performance, but still great nonetheless. Icarus is growing on me. I know Digipedi could only shoot the MV a certain way since they were showing the transitions between members, but seeing the full choreo is really beautiful. That shot with Kim Lip in the center when they zoom out and then back in is so good. Lil Cherry having kiss n tell lyrics in Loop is foreshadowing for ITZY. The dancers with YVES during the Hashtag performance are the dancers that she tours with. See you in hell and BIRD are both songs that YVES released on her deluxe edition of the I Did album. It came out just before the U.S. portion of her tour and both songs are fully English. I find it interesting that she's wearing wings and has bullet holes in her jacket during the See You In Hell performance, considering it was released a few months ago. LE SSERAFIM has a song titled Swan Song, which I considered putting right after YVES. I wanted the first LE SSERAFIM performance to be CRAZY though, so that got scrapped. This CRAZY dress rehearsal is one of my favorite end of the year performances they've done. I've probably watched it at least 50 times. You notice something different every time. It was initially meant to be the first video on the playlist, but after reworking it, I think it fit nicely as a jumping off point after the LOONA related videos. The English lyrics for HOT make it arguably better than the Korean version. I normally avoid English versions. I randomly watched this because their performance films are always great and are shot in different settings. I couldn't believe my ears when the lyrics actually made sense. I've always felt like LE SSERAFIM grabbed the baton from ITZY when it comes to the self-confidence/love aspect in their music and this version of HOT is a perfect example of that. Not that ITZY doesn't still do that, but LE SSERAFIM was the next group to embrace that sort of concept. The "don't love me for somebody I'm not" line goes hard. All the shit they took after Coachella was completely ridiculous. I watched week 1 and had a great time! They never claimed to be an amazing vocal group and were generally praised for their performances. Coachella is usually a hot mess anyways. I got so frustrated trying to watch ATEEZ. From what I remember, the first 20 minutes were unwatchable. Camera director was on some edibles or something. I love how quirky Come Over is. The throwback styling is great and fits the song perfectly. I don't even know what genre this is, but it's different for K-pop. The instrumental always makes me think of The Black Keys. Ash. 11/11. No notes. So Cynical (Badum) gives me White Lotus vibes. I may be crazy, but I swear it's there. ITZY. I know exactly how those Japanese Midzys felt and loved seeing their reactions. I would normally complain about the camerawork, but in this case it felt right. It also gives us a look from ITZY's POV and what they probably experience all the time. When I saw them in 2022 for the first time since covid, it felt like this. Born To Be tour wasn't the same without Lia, so it will probably feel that way if/when I see them again. Imaginary Friend will never fail to hit me in the feels. I even cry anytime I watch the trailer for Girls Will Be Girls. I'm fine up until the point when they all start dancing in the street, then it's all over for me. I think anyone that has a favorite group understands this feeling. Kiss & Tell feels like it was taken straight from the IT'z ME era. It's old school ITZY with all the confidence and experience they've gained along the way. Love everything about it. I'm so glad you caught the WANNABE callbacks in the GWBG choreo! Out of all of their more recent releases, this feels like their modern anthem. I looked up the definition for what "girls will be girls" really means and this is the best answer I found: The meaning of โ€œGirls Will Be Girlsโ€ by ITZY is girls have the power to define themselves without needing saving, permission, or validation. The song is a bold anthem of self-worth, unity, and fearless expression, reclaiming the phrase โ€œgirls will be girlsโ€ to celebrate strength, independence, and solidarity. It reminds listeners that even in a tough world, girls rise, support each other, and shine together. I couldn't describe it any better and it suits them perfectly. This was so much fun! Thank you for taking the time to check it out! I'm kind of glad you reacted to it when you did. Things do happen for a reason. I think it turned out great!

nva

....corey i think this is the most i've ever 'heard' you talk ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿซถ THESE ARE AMAZING, YOU MADE A PERFECT PLAYLIST ONCE AGAIN!

nva

puh-LEASE bring katseye to the channel!! even their variety stuff always has me giggling, they're such a fun breath of fresh air in the (k)pop scene! praying for loossemble to come back in some form ๐Ÿซ‚ i truly believe hyunjin could save the world if she put her mind to it, so i have faith that her plans for her company will pull through with something.... ARTMS touch my heart with their resemblance to OG-LOONA - this title track doesn't top virtual angel for me but it's brought me a lot of feels already and we've just started this era! YES this is one of my fave eras of lesserafim- the b-sides on this project have been some of their best in my opinion! so cynical is the one that sounds like imogen heap to me, it's my fave this era of ITZY is also perfect! like you said, its reminiscent of some of their original themes with being badass and cunty- i swear they're all so powerful. yeji ........... i'm begging for one chance ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Corey

Thank you for saying so! I'm mostly introverted, so I operate better behind the scenes. I'm great at internalizing and overthinking. I normally don't have much to say, but these groups are special to me. Well not really KATSEYE. They're new to me. I just like Gnarly. The others have been with me for awhile though. I was lucky to see LOONA, IZ*ONE, and ITZY at KCON LA in 2019. I think that's around the same time I joined the Patreon. I know Johan likes reading comments, so hopefully that's a nice surprise for him.

johanmoon

I LOVE LONG COMMENTS LIKE THIS they're my favourites!! i read it this morning when i woke up :DDD and nva you should try being in a voice call with him, he keeps me up late because he wont stop talking!!! and i cant go to bed because hes really fun to talk to so i dont wanna. but i still blame him!!!

Pari

I think people did not like adela on katseyes survival show because she was kinda a hater towards manon especially ๐Ÿ˜ญ but I think theyโ€™re all good now

johanmoon

as i said i haven't seen the show myself but i have heard about it and it was never about adela being a "hater" rather that she had legitimate reasons for being annoyed with manon or questioning her cus she was not participating or present like others were. then she got a huge amount of hate from dumb "fans" which her song machine girl is kind of about? theyre both amazing but im glad adรฉla is a soloist because that is clearly what she was meant to be lol she's really one of a kind. and yeah ive heard theyre all good now too so it doesnt really matter ๐Ÿฅฐ
