I can't believe we got over 5 hours of content this week and I already can't wait for next week. I feel like I've been in a slump recently with making videos but this show has really helped ignite my passion again, and not only for this show but with making videos in general. I just need this fucking heatwave to be over but it looks like it's going to last all next week.. 🫠

This episode was amazing just like the previous one and there are so many trainees that I love and can't wait to see more of. I need to work on my list of K and C faves. I should also probably not write down trainees that I haven't seen perform yet 🌝

Would it be fun for me to react to some of the individual promotional videos they released before the show aired? I could do that for some of my faves and some of your recommendations. Let me know all your thoughts in the comments~ ✨

so jiahao and anxin are actually under nouera's company, nouer... i don't know why lmao but they were/are part of chromosome just like kaiwen too, so they know each other and trained together with bing fan and lin too

Boy Story is in limbo. After COVID, their popularity waned globally. It's six members in total, and until about a couple of weeks ago, 3 members were on hiatus. 2 members who are the youngest in the group decided to focus on studies, and one just got off hiatus for a dating scandal. These three are the hyung line, and I guess no sub-unit for them, so JYPE decided to stick them on this show. CPOP is inaccessible. Out of all their years, I was only able to buy one album, and it was such a big hassle. They used to do K-con, and I don't know why it stopped, but they never got treated like other JYPE boy groups.

it really bugs me how much stricter they are here. like, in the k group, they’d lose their minds over anything, and now it’s like, “oh you’re sick?? that’s your problem, try harder” kajsjfn. just because they’re “kpop experienced” — whatever that means — but they’re still trainees with a lot left to work on. honestly, some of the ones who were eliminated on the spot didn’t even deserve it. like he jiahao — i get where jaejoong was coming from, and being his ceo probably made him feel extra responsible, but he still deserved at least one star. either way, we all know a lot of this is scripted, and mnet never hides their favoritism toward korean trainees (or really, anyone who isn’t chinese). i’m sorry but the only person allowed to be mean and say whatever she wants without me complaining is xiaoting. wang zihao got more screentime here than he did in the entirety of season one, damn. kaiwen had part of his performance cut — the part where he actually showcased his vocals — but oh well. i know sun jiayang from starlight boys, and i really liked him back then, so i’m genuinely looking forward to seeing how much he’s improved. i’m so glad sun hengyu proved himself and showed that he deserves to be remembered. that performance was easily one of the best in boys planet so far. he’s insanely talented and instantly became one of my picks after that — i’ll be rooting for him so hard. i know a bit about his group; they had a member who appeared on iland — i think his name was youngbin — but he left after some really serious dating violence accusations. after that, i lost track of the group, and eventually they disbanded. hengyu used to go by the stage name U. i really hope he gets a second chance after everything he’s been through. lim jack is craaazy omg. close enough, welcome back kum junhyeon. now what can i even say about anxin and jiahao besides THAT’S HOW YOU PERFORM DAMN. one thing though — mnet definitely lowered the volume on jiahao’s vocals, which is why he sounded quieter. obviously they wanted to highlight anxin since he’s the center, and i’m not even mad about that but it does makes me sad. but look at zhou anxin — that’s how you CENTER. they were incredible. honestly, jiahao’s dancing is on a whole other level. and if i say he’s the best dancer out of all of them, i’d be 100% right. i really hope jiahao gets more attention even if it is because he's close to anxin and that makes people see his talent too, i really can't manage him not debuting so let’s debut haoxin!! btw, you’re pronouncing anxin correctly i think haha.

The one that you questioned if he was on universe league or not, he was! That was Xie Yuxin, he was on rhythm :] It’s probably hard to remember him cause he mostly had small parts and was on bench 😭

ngl I actually didn't find the masters judgements bad, a lot of the trainees who were eliminated seemed to lack some basic skills like singing in the right pitch etc. I feel like in the recent years a lot of trainees are amazing when it comes to performance/dance and the singing abilities seem to be overlooked so I really appreciated their honesty. I also feel like as there's 160 of trainees the producers told the masters to eliminate these who lack in skills too much. In the previous boys planet, for me the team performances were bad looking at them whole because there were members who didn't have the basics down and even though they have the masters, they're not there to give them lessons about basic skills but give them advice how to improve further and share with them stuff from their experience.

maybe it’s just me but Jia Hao reminds me of Rui from xlov and i’m so here for it, can’t wait to see more of him💅 and even though this episode was shorter than the k-planet one (mnet..when i catch you mnet), i definitely enjoyed it way more. like the staring contest bit GAGGED me all the way

Lin QiuNan, the Taekwondo guy you said needed to be humbled, he actually ended up leaving the show. Idk if it was due to injury (that crash landing looks PAINFUL), maybe he got another movie offer, or maybe he was humbled. The guy you were asking if he was from Universe League who was talking to Jiang Fan during their break/doing make up is Xie Yuxin, who was on Team Rhythm (He's the one that won the random play dance in the holiday episode). And the in the blue hoodie (also the one that almost but probably did kiss Xuan Hao) is He Junjin who is also from UL, he was on Team Groove. I feel like we got more screen time of these 3 here in 1 episode than they got the entire time they were on universe League. Also, Cai Jinxin was in "Feel Special". He was basically Shuaibo's bestie on Boys Planet, they were always together. The reason why Dang Hong Hai didn't walk in with the other 3 Boys Planet trainees is because he's under a Kpop company thus having "Kpop experience" the other guys didn't.

In K-pop, idols are defined by both skill and visuals as the basic standard. That’s why, in reality, many Koreans actually agree with Jaejoong’s evaluation. The negative reactions are mostly coming from international audiences. 🥲 As a senior idol, Jaejoong is giving accurate feedback and genuinely trying to help. Korean viewers are even requesting him to appear as a judge on Boys Planet K. He even mentioned that he’s a fan of BOY STORY. It wasn’t just “lose weight” in a shallow sense — he was saying that while it’s great they are becoming more and more like veterans in skill, letting the external side age along with that isn’t ideal. In other words, showing better self-management will help their future activities, and K-pop fans in Korea largely agreed with this. Of course, Koreans also don’t like hearing “lose weight” as feedback to an ordinary person. But we shouldn’t forget that Boys Planet is a competition program to create K-pop idols. The role of the masters is to evaluate both skills and visuals. This was completely standard feedback.
