Well, as you can tell by now I am completely blown away by this debut and this album. I love their sound, it feels like a breath of fresh air and it feels like something new with inspiration from something old! I LOVE IT!

As I was making the thumbnail for the video I actually managed to focus on the storyline in the MV a little more, I was just too overwhelmed by everything but I think it was such a sweet story of how KENSHIN altered time to make sure they met? Or something like that!

I'm so excited to post the YouTube video and this first listen, I hope you all enjoy it! I'm gonna spend the next weeks listening to this album on repeat. Let me know all your thoughts in the comments and your favourite song~

i loooove this album so much i honestly don't think i'll ever get over it lmao i said it before but close your eyes is the biggest plot twist in my life rn cause i wasnt planning on stan or anything but i fell in love with the music and watching their variety shows i fell in love with them too so here i am obsessed with every single song they have. their first comeback is also really good and unique, i know you're gonna love it to once you get there for now hmm i don't think theres a good quality subbed debut showcase, only the performances on their channel.. i mean there is a subbed one on youtube but the quality is honestly terrible so thats a bummer haha for content recommendations i only have variety shows cause performances i honestly would recommend EVERYTHING haha, so whatever caught your eye would be good 🙂‍↕️ if we go with their channel well i would recommend their close&open variety show, i think it has like only 3 episodes so far, then they have this "missing boys" thing¿? (3 episodes) too that i think its a good preparation for the comeback haha for other stuff well they have vlogs under the name CYECLE and their behind the scenes videos under COOCYE for outside their channel i definitely recommend this two: IDOL DKDK CLUB https://youtu.be/CdBpbtqwHlY?si=d6a32akECRnMpHuL IDOL 1N2D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWNtHwrc42M&t=1s&pp=ygUcY2xvc2UgeW91ciBleWVzIHZhcmlldHkgc2hvdw%3D%3D im so glad you loved the album and loved them, i hope to see more reactions for them !

Yes, I am so glad you decided to react to this finally! I think I thought about your forthcoming reaction to this just about daily for the past month, lol, and got disappointed almost every time you uploaded something else. 😆 First it was the title track that got me, it gave me SHINee debut-era vibes as it reminded me of Replay. But I'm almost wondering if All My Poetry is even better, even though that's a bold statement to make. And then I didn't initially take to the album, maybe because I was expecting more.. well, k-pop. But after more listens I decided it was my favourite release this year, and 4 months later it's definitely contender for album of the year, regardless of what gets released the next few months. It's so beautiful I wanna cry! 😭 Anyway, glad you're on the CYE train together with us, and looking forward to more reactions.

Moni

I loveee this entire album! I decided only to collect TXT albums (since K-pop albums are expensive here in South America, and being a multi-stan makes it hard to keep up with every group), but I NEED this one. Every single track is perfect — truly a no-skip album, full of masterpieces 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

How to Dance omg 😭 I love it so much. I have a soft spot for songs like this. It has an 80s sound to it that I am so in love with. The instrumental reminded me a little of the song Rollercoaster by Bleachers (love them). I feel what youre saying about it sounding like more than just kpop. What an amazing concept. I'm honestly so surprised. They are far exceeding any expectations I could've dreamed up after Project 7. I have this thing where I often need to listen to a song multiple times to really like... idk bond with it? Lol. But Ive loved all of these songs instantly so far. The vibes are vibing. I paused at 17:47 to write this and your expression there is me right now 🤣

Katie

Im already obsessed with To the Woods. The part where the sound switchs up and it gets almost like bluesy... meaning the genre Blues. My jaw dropped! It somehow sounds familiar and like nothing Ive ever heard before at the same time.

At 34:00, you might know this now, but you were wondering what the line about the apple means and I think its a reference to Sir Isaac Newton who "discovered" gravity. They mention him earlier in the song too I think. So it relates to the hourglass imagery in that sense. Also with the song titled Upside Down its kinda like the sand finished falling through the hourglass and now you could turn it "upside down" and start again by replaying the album maybe?? Absolutely loved that! Im ready to listen to it while driving to work. Thats going to be so nice. Apart from the work part lol

johanmoon

yes it totally has that 80s sound!! i'm so glad you're really liking their music as well 🥰

johanmoon

omg I love your theories, especially the "upside down" explanation - it totally makes sense

Hello! 🥳 I am here finally (after a little break from the scene) I apologize for this being mega long but you seem very passionate about these boys and I wanted to give you my full thoughts 🥹🫶🏻 2 Songs In - Loving these direct lyrics. I love the POV of the writing and how easy listening this is! I wonder if they write their own lyrics. The writing is sticking out to me more than anything. The melodies are so sweet 🥹🥹 4 Songs In - Oh these words are so beautiful. I’m really attracted to this writing. It’s well flashed out, all these metaphors and direct stances of their love. Awhhhhhh! What strikes me about Poetry is their vocal pattern of descending at the end of phrases in the melody. It makes it super vulnerable. Like they’re laying their words down on you. Also, coming off really big theatrical vocals from The Boyz and ZB1, it’s a nice switch to hear more reigned in vocals. Not that they’re NOT vocalizing, but they keep the energy is contained making it feel super intimate. The production feels like a hi-polished version of a lofi beat (if that makes sense haha). All those r&b FX and glossy synths scratches a nice itch in the brain. I think it is accented well by the controlled vocalizing. Makes it pop more. I already have a soft spot for How To Dance 🥲 It reminds me of like My My My by Troye Sivan or High Society by Betty Who 😭😭😭

johanmoon

I looove hearing your thoughts on this, so interesting to hear from somebody who's actually a professional and who likes a lot of the same groups and music as me. thank you so much for sharing 🥰💙

6 Songs In - 😭🤣 This is a cute and funny song. It’s so relatable and I feel like a lot of pop songs would take this concept of “I like you. You can’t know. It’s eating me up.” into a dramatic/sad kinda tone but they spin it into something coy and fun. (Love that the piano riff ALMOST sounds like Lean On Me by Bill Withers). To The Woods has a very unique melody. The verses are kind of typical of Kpop Blues/R&B but the chorus really flips it on the head. Again, really leaning into easy listening. Very pretty. Perfect walking music I would think!!! The guitar riffs give me little hints of yacht rock and smooth jazz which is always calming to my senses

Xandar

8 Songs In - That acoustic guitar riff (I always call it like THE “SoCal [Southern California] riff” which is ascending ba-da-ba-dab *chord hit* lmaoooo always works for me. Puts me into a little summer romance fantasy. (Wait and then the xylophone comes in yes this is an end of summer/heartbreak song YESSSS) I thought the percussion intro was fascinating. Bc the acoustic guitar was a complete surprise after that. I thought it was gonna go into something more digital. WOAHHH the dropout! These boys want you to STAYYY SO BAD JOHAN! They are BEGGING! That was kind of a highlight for me on this album. The vocal showcase and the use of that low hummy synth underneath was such a smart tie in. Especially since the vocals are high and reaching their climax. It brought the entire painting together having a digital low end like that so the boys could sing/accent their higher register. I think what stood out to me about Upside Down was that just like your theory of Upside Down, the energy went from introspective to charged/forward. Sonically, very symbolic bc the energy starts shifting around and things you could say really start kicking off (like their career 👀👀👀👀👀).

Xandar

I’ve added this to my library! It’s gonna be great to listen to while on the train home for the holidays 🥳😍 thanks for recommending! I had fun listening to this. They are quite unique and I’ll check out more stuff of them that you have!!

Xandar
