NAMJOON's creativity and the way he expresses himself is so unique and he's so good at balancing the depth and weirdness with catchy and beautiful melodies. I can be very sensitive to songs that are too negative or heavy because it affects me too much emotionally to listen to them casually but I really like the way he expresses it - that energy doesn't feel stagnant but he moves it so it's not too heavy! At least that's how it feels to me. I love the experimental weirdness in some of these songs, I think this album really showcases his growth as an artist who is staying very true to himself AND his talent! I love it, let me know all your thoughts in the comments~ ✨

i KNEW you were going to appreciate right people wrong place as the opening song (us engenes with our intro tracks) he truly sets the vibe for the whole album

faith

i love how much it reminds you of the knife LOL

faith

7:41 “wow she’s everything” just made me laugh so hard

faith

stigma was Taehyung but i LOVE the callback

faith

Namjoon could write Romeo & Juliet but Shakespeare could NEVER write right person wrong place

faith

18:44 the delayed “that’s Japanese” nothing gets past you queen

faith

“it’s a little late for an interlude, i mean who am i-it’s not my album!”

27:18 I AM SCREAMING I CANT WITH YOU

faith

27:53 NOW IM LITERALLY CRYING but this is so real i usually have to research each song to see what he means

faith

okay i knew you were gonna love heaven because that’s one of my favorites but i forgot how queer coded it was omg hahah

faith

no i love how you brought up the whole fame & drug correlation because it is so real and it’s been proven time and time again. i was a big one direction fan and liam was my favorite member and i remember his interview a few years ago where he shared that he was an alcoholic and explained that they would go on tour for a majority of the year, after a concert they’d be locked up in their hotel rooms so they only thing he had was alcohol. it’s so sad that addiction got him along with his depression. and it happens to so many people!

faith

you’re so right this is such a vinyl album. it’s just so cohesively put together and written and you can really see his story/processing of the breakup. what you said about how it’s never the wrong person because you were meant to learn from them was beautiful and so true!

faith

heaven and around the world in a day are also my faves!!! loved this reaction—you made me appreciate the album even more!

I love what youre saying about listening to albums from the beginning to the end.. You're absolutely right. Of course I listen to playlists and mixes but I think its important to listen to albums beginning to end at least once! Especially with artists that tell stories. Im excited to hear this album Ive only heard the songs you reacted to on yt and I liked those a lot more than I thought I would.

Katie

06:22 yes I am totally with you on The Knife! Love them by the way. Im so glad I decided to look them up after the yt rm reaction! I actually played one of their songs (Heartbeats) in the car while out with one of my friends recently and she knew it! Idk why I was the only one missing out this whole time. Glad to have it now though!

07:23 "this is what we do in Sweden" 😂😂😂 that album is so good

Katie

Domodachi is so good

Katie

29:42 I get you here. This song is giving like a 60s/70s classic rock type of vibe. I think youre actually really close with the beach boys. It reminds me of something like that. I like it 👌

Katie

The lost one might be my fave

Katie

39:48 I felt this too lol this song is 🔥

46:18 I was thinking during credits roll that it should've been the last song but youre so right here! its like when a movie has a bonus scene at the end of the credits. I know Marvel movies do it a lot but I dont really like Marvel stuff tbh lol. For me it reminds me of Ferris Buellers Day Off. Im pretty sure it was the first movie to have a scene at the end of the credits. I totally think that's what he was riffing on when he did this order! I was actually thinking the whole time that its one of those albums that reminds me of a movie with how its paced also the picture for the last song looks like its a still from a movie. Not sure if thats intentional..

Katie

48:07 wow Im in a chatty mood tonight. I must say though, that I am with you on this being a good album for vinyl! Its pretty obvious to me, as someone who knows very little about RM, that he has an old soul as we say. And I feel like he would consider that a huge compliment. Then again I dont know his personality but thats the vibe I get here.
