I've never fallen more in love with somebody after hearing them fart but that's just the effect HUDSON has on meeee. I can't get over how different their personalities are from their characters, it's so funny and interesting. They complete each other so well and their chemistry is insane (just like in the show) but in a totally different way! The fact that we have another and hopefully more seasons of this show to look forward to makes me so happy.

I'm so glad I decided to react to it but I seriously need to rewatch it just for myself. If you guys want me to react to more bonus content like this then please suggest videos in the comments! yes, this is such a great explanation and makes so much sense! it reminds me of the tiktok video I saw that I mention in the beginning of the video. with the way most opposite sex couples are portrayed in the media and the societal expectations and power imbalance it comes with it totally makes sense why a lot of women love BL stuff. I never meant to sound like I thought it was something wrong with that because I don't, I understand it so much! and I kind of wish more gay men would also embrace more BL content but maybe that's happening! I know I love it at least 🥰

2:24 this was already said but to also add my straight woman cents in…being in a heterosexual relationship as a woman can certainly feel like you’re put into a box where you have a set role, and if you go against that role, there’s always a double standard set against you. like physically, society tells us that women should be submissive to men, and when a woman is not, she’s a “dominatrix” or a “whore.” i remember one time i kissed this guy and then he was talking about it the next day and he told me that i “grabbed his face in a dominating way” and i remember feeling so embarrassed and almost disgusted with myself? even though i didn’t do anything wrong, and on top of that i didn’t even want to kiss him. and this is just one of MANY examples i have where there’s been some double standard against me (ex: a man calling me easy to my face despite the fact that we both behaved the same way) so when i watch a mlm relationship, it’s just SO refreshing to see two equals, two people on the same playing field. obviously, i’m only attracted to men, but i’m even more attracted to their chemistry and passion because they are ALLOWED to have the same level. obviously there are “tops” and “bottoms,” but at the same time, no one would bat an eye if those roles were reversed.

as a bi woman, i just love watching people fall in love with one another, whether it’s a straight or a queer relationship. but what sets apart gay romance specifically is that i can just enjoy the show and watch their love unfold without me trying to insert myself. i still think that ‘wow i wish i could have that type of love’ but i guess it makes me a little less lonely compared to watching a straight or a lesbian love story where it makes me feel like i could have that too. as for heated rivalry, it’s the genuine love and longing they have for each other that makes me so crazy about it. and it might just be me being extremely emotional but i can NOT stop crying about the last two episodes, no matter how many times i’ve seen them. but also, as a queer person, watching shane struggle with figuring out his own sexuality reminded me so much of myself and i’ve seen some people talk about how that scene with his mom in episode 6 made them want to come out too, and i think that’s just beautiful. and also why representation matters so much!! but i genuinely can’t explain why this show is making me feel so many things and why it’s affecting me in so many ways but it literally made me rethink my whole life and what i want to do with it. and i forever will be thankful to all the actors and everyone else who has worked on this show, they really created a masterpiece and brought a lot of people together with this!
