I really didn't know what to expect from this album but I can safely say that I am blown away by how good it is and how different all the songs are. The different genres they've mastered and given it their own unique and iconic sound is a testiment to how talented they are. I really need to listen to the album more to figure out how to express everything I'm feeling but I'll try my best below!
I feel like the first songs of the album are an evolved and modern homage to their roots and early sound, like a love letter AND a reminder of who they are and where they're from. Honestly I don't remember them as clearly now because the second half of the album blew me away. I'm so excited to listen to this album during my walks in the nice spring weather~ 🌱
I'm interested in learning the meaning of No. 29 aka the bang of the gong ringing (?) but I interpret it as a reset, a clearing of energy and the sound of change. To mark the point of the different of songs before and after it on the album, perhaps? Either way, I love it.
The songs after that point felt almost unreal how good they are. They're so different and so BTS, but it's such an evolved BTS to me. The growth they've done during the time they were working on their solos and while they were in the army, learning how to live and deal with the level of fame they're at... I think it all contributed to their growth and how they've evolved. Confident, unapologetic and blunt in the way they express themselves and I LOVE it!
They sound, look and express themselves better than ever. I'm really looking forward to the comeback live and the documentary while also spending every day listening to the album. I'd love to hear all your thoughts and your favourite songs in the comments~ 💜💙
