It’s so nice to see the bond they had as five! For the Prague photo shoot, at the beginning of the video, Yoochun says that they had to work as four for a while, because U-Know was sick. What happened, is that while filming at KBS, an anti-fan disguised as staff, handed U-Know a bottle of orange juice laced with superglue, with a note. No one noticed the note until later (saying his talent was not up to par, and he should quit show business), but U-Know drank the juice, and after a few minutes, started coughing up blood. He was rushed to the hospital and kept there for a few days for treatment. They were able to get all of it out of his system before it went into his lungs, which could have killed him. This was during the time when Sasaengs we're not considered criminals yet, and there was a lot of pressure for U-Know not to press charges. The 20 year-old girl turned herself in, stating that she thought he would see the note and not drink the juice, and was getting a lot of sympathy from the press. Heechul, from Super Junior, spoke up for U-Know, posting on social media, asking why the press was sympathizing with an attempted murderer. The post is no longer there, though, as I believe SM made him take it down. Although U-Know recovered physically, there was a lot of psychological trauma that he still carries from the event. It was years before he could drink orange juice again, and to help get over that he bought 10 bottles, and sat down, with shaking hands, and made himself drink them all. He said it helped, although he still has some anxiety that sometimes gets re-lived from the event. He did not press charges, and said for a short while he actually thought about quitting show business, but thankfully he didn't! I think he just got out of the hospital before this video, and is less active here, not jumping with the other guys, or being thrown in the air by them. And Jaejoong, ever caring, gives him a piggyback ride.🥰

Quick fun fact about Mirotic, since you mention how it annoys you that Jaejoong has so few lines (and same!) - that was actually not supposed to be the case originally! They changed the planned line distribution to give him fewer lines in exchange for him getting a solo track on the Mirotic album (which made him the only one to get a solo track in a TVXQ album during the whole OT5 period).

Loved these reactions! The outfits in the Secret Code clip are from the Balloons music video/era, which was their version of a kids song 😅 The Mirotic shoots are always glooorious. They were indeed on a dvd release - All About DBSK parts 1 & 2 were both great dvd boxsets; the couple talks you reacted to were on there along with their Saipan trip, but there's a TON of behind the scenes shoots etc on those dvds; genuinely a gold mine!

Happy to be the one to share some links again! Putting them in this separate comment to make it easier 😘 Mirotic Album (there were A, B, and C versions of the album, so dropping a few links of varying quality of scans here!) 1) https://jjejecass.wordpress.com/2012/05/15/pictures-tvxq-mirotic-wallpapers-photobooks/ 2) https://jpopcdcovers.wordpress.com/2009/01/30/dong-bang-shin-ki-%EB%8F%99%EB%B0%A9%EC%8B%A0%EA%B8%B0tohoshinki-%E6%9D%B1%E6%96%B9%E7%A5%9E%E8%B5%B7-mirotic-version-a/ 3) https://jpopcdcovers.wordpress.com/2009/01/31/dong-bang-shin-ki-%eb%8f%99%eb%b0%a9%ec%8b%a0%ea%b8%b0tohoshinki-%e6%9d%b1%e6%96%b9%e7%a5%9e%e8%b5%b7-mirotic-version-b/ 4) https://jpopcdcovers.wordpress.com/2009/01/31/dong-bang-shin-ki-%eb%8f%99%eb%b0%a9%ec%8b%a0%ea%b8%b0tohoshinki-%e6%9d%b1%e6%96%b9%e7%a5%9e%e8%b5%b7-mirotic-version-c/ 5) https://gailkimchoi.wordpress.com/dbsk-love-3/mirotic-album-pictures/ Prince in Prague photobook - hard to find in HD cos it's even older than Mirotic lol, but found some acceptable scans! (I probably only have old school HD scans in storage on a disk somewhere 👵) Prince in Prague was a 164 page photobook, which nowadays sounds like a WILD concept!: 1) https://5godoftheeast.wordpress.com/2016/09/01/tvxq-prince-in-prague-scans-part-1/ 2) https://5godoftheeast.wordpress.com/2016/09/01/tvxq-prince-in-prague-scans-part-2/ 3) https://tvxqscans.tumblr.com/tagged/the%20prince%20in%20prague (some HD scans in posts here, but not complete!)

i remember hearing about this incident and it is so fucking scary. the person who did that belongs in jail and only a very mentally unstable person would do something like that, i can't believe people would actually sympathize with her that's insane!! and i'm glad that heechul stood up for him even if SM made him take the post down. these guys have been through so much shit because of these sick individuals aka sasaengs

johanmoon

omg thank you so much. these are amazing
