Hello! 💕

Today is the annual #ThankYouPatrons day, while I'm not sure if that is an official term, I would still very much like to express my gratitude to you all.

I joined Patreon this summer and have been using it a little over 5 months now. Initially I joined because I wanted a more private platform where I could share my live stage reactions, since those got blocked on YouTube. I picked the lowest pledge amount possible because that's what I felt most comfortable with and I still do.

I instantly saw some of your names I used to see in the comments on YouTube making their pledges to me - some of you even pledging more than $1. I cannot describe how humbled and supported this makes me feel - thank you! You're all wonderful.

Over time I have slowly learned how I want to use Patreon and what I want to share here. I'm still learning and figuring it out, to be honest. I'm trying to have fun with it and not feel too pressured - this is also one of the reasons for having only the $1 tier.

One of the best experiences of my life was this August when I got to travel to Korea for LOOΠΔ's Debut Concert on August 19th. 3 months ago today! I’ve never been so nervous about anything in my life.. except maybe the moment before I was going to pull out my wisdom teeth.

A little background;

I joined the fancafé and later the fanclub - that way I had early access to the concert tickets. I hadn't booked anything in advance (flight, hotel) because I wanted to see if I could get my hands on a ticket first. The tickets sold out in 2 minutes, was it? I was one of the first to buy 2.  I hadn't planned to buy 2, but the moment I got the option I just did it.

"I don't want to go alone!" I realized in this moment. It was like it suddenly became real. After that, I was looking at hotels for a good few days. Booking.com was my best friend. Speaking of, Hanna was on board to go with me to the concert. Thank GODDESS, I didn't have to make such a long journey on my own! We ordered the plane tickets and it was officially decided. I even got my first offer for a sponsorship from the Amino app - I took this as a sign.

As I'm writing this I realize there's a lot more to say on this, but I'll save it for another time if you're interested. Maybe a book? (Hi) High hopes, Johan!

What I want to say with this is that it couldn't have been done without you all - and especially one of you who made a very generous donation for this trip. I'm not sure if they want me to say their name for privacy reasons, but they know who they are. 🌙💕

Words cannot express how grateful I am to have you all liking what I do enough to support it like this. From the bottom of my Orbit heart - thank you so much. Every little bit helps. Many pebbles can become the weight of a boulder! You're my pebbles. In a good way! Like how many candles can become a big fire? I should have thought more about this saying... We're strong together, is what I'm trying to say! I'm so cheesy.

I want to give back. Since this amazing experience had not been possible without all of you, and I think it's safe to assume that we're all Orbits here - I think it's fair that I share my experience by sending each of you a small token of gratitude. If you've seen my LOOΠΔbirth Haul video you know that I got a lot of goodies from it. You should all get to have your own, I say. I'm not sure about the rules of giveaways, but oh well. Arrest me, Patreon police!

And how incredibly fitting is it that it was 3 months ago, today?! I love numerology, it's so LOOΠΔ! I'm not sure how much the transport fee will be but you will probably have to pay that yourself, depending on where you live. It shouldn't be more than a couple of dollars, though.

If you're interested then leave a comment or message me with a few options on what you'd like to have from this video (keep it small enough to fit in an envelope, please!) and maybe leave a comment saying what made you want to become my patron in the first place? I think you can fill out your address when you make a pledge to me, so I know where to send it. Oh, and I've recently realized that it's called patron/patrons and not patreon/patreons, so.. Yay me!

I hope you enjoyed reading this and, for the last time, thank you for supporting me on my Patreon. I love you all. 💕

Because I consider you as more of a friend now than just a youtube channel i subscribed to and I want to support you in what you are doing, even if it's just abit. I was in situation where I decided to travel alone in August and meeting you was in my mind a one time thing. I never thought I would actually spend a couple more days with you and your friends and that added more meaning to my yolo trip. Don't think I need anything from your haul haha, I probably have most of them already. Don't be stressed out on what videos to do and just do what you do. I'm sure your subscribers will like that more. (ps. you paid for the dinner that time, let me pay the next time we meet ^^)

This is very sweet of you to do Johan. It’s one of the reasons I connected to you as a creator; you’re always so giving and want others to be happy. I think you’re very admirable because of that. When I heard you were going to loonabirth I swear I was as happy as I’d have been if I was able to go. I obviously couldn’t because of the student life I’m struggling with right now. But seeing you able to go, and the joy it brought you, was more than enough for me. I swear one of the reasons I love loona so much is because you’re a part of the fandom ♥︎

I started to follow you on Youtube for the same reason you started making videos -- nobody I know cares about kpop and I wanted to experience Loona together! Your sweetness, vulnerability, and enthusiasm really connect to me. Your videos are so genuine, and comfortable somehow? Having some tea and watching a video is one of my favorite things to do. I decided to follow your Patreon because I wanted to see more videos, but also because you were down after returning from LoonaBirth, and I wanted you to see that you are supported by your community :D Anyhow, I could talk and talk about that. I don't know if I am comfortable taking something from you :p ! But given that you are doing it from gratefulness, I stan Choerry (I am prone to feeling down and she is such a vitamin), with Yves as a bias-wrecker (so beautiful, so vampy, so surprising <3 ). I am partial to those photos with the glowing hand-held moons, but truly, anything with either of them would make me sublimely happy. Or even if you decide that you do not want to part with anything, that will be OK :) I hope you are doing well today <3 Someday when I make more money, I want to support you more! I think you are a special person, and that if you could you would be always helping others too. That's a rare and beautiful personality :) Pebble, I like it! We are Johan's pebbles. Anyway not to be weird and praise you too much. I just like for people to know how great they are :p If you are ever feeling down or lonely, make a post and we will go on and on about your special-ness, I'm sure! Take care of yourself <3

So sweet of you to do a giveaway. I started following you because of our shared love for the loona, and i had noone to obsess with haha. I love how you express yourself so honestly. You remind me alot of my best friend/brother to be honest (also called Johan lol).  I started supporting you on patreon because i really wanted to support you more, even if its not in my means to help more i wanted to do something. You personality and kindness really inspire me to be more positive, even if times are tough now. Loona and the positive fandom has been a big help for me. I recently introduced my sister to Loona and she really loves Chuu and Olivia. Im the one supporting her kpop craze as a big sis so i would love to gift her anything from her favorite members. Lots of happy wishes. <3

wow, this is so sweet! i adore you absolutely so much. i had started supporting you from youtube around june or july, when i had first started to stan loona. it was nice to have a content creator like you who supported the girls as i did, it made the whole experience better. like a friend, it felt like. i genuinely think of you as my favorite, i just love the aura you radiate. it’s so nice and home-like, i feel so much better after some videos from you. that is why i started to support you on patreon, which hasn’t been that long, and i apologize. but now, i can see more of you, and give my support. i don’t think any other creator has made me so ecstatic, really. but now.. i feel bad for asking of items from you. it’s giving back, yes, but ah, it makes me feel a bit uneasy! i really won’t ask for much, but perhaps anything of gowon or haseul relatively, maybe the clear photocard of gowon if that is okay, with the flowers surrounding her. (i feel so bad oh my goodness.) but really, thank you for everything. i am so grateful for you videos, and just you in general. <3

Hi Johan. It is really lovely for you to offer a giveaway. You are such a sincere person and generous with your timw( I have edited video and audio for work so I know how much time it can take just with a reac tion video) and this is one of the reasons wanted to support you. I have wrote elsewhere too about this.you have my address in UK that us with that card, but I am not there lol . In Seoul. And to be honest I think that I have so much access to things anyway. Really the best gift is to see a video to watch from you and enjoy your enthusiasm for Loona )))) thank you ))))

GoWonderful

Sharing the LOONA journey and experience with you and other orbits is reward enough for me. I would be more happy if you keep it or give it to someone else because my joy comes from sharing the love of LOONA to others. Though your future reaction to "Idol Room" would be a gift I will gladly accept. *wink* *wink*

HI Johan, I want to start by saying that you are one of the reasons I really started liking Loona. I had just started getting into KPop and was watching every video I could find. Your reaction video to Chuu popped up in my "Recommended" videos, so I clicked. I fell in love right away, not just with Chuu, but with your videos (and of course Cookie!). I immediately had to go watch all of your other reaction videos. Chuu and Hyunjin are my biases, with little Yeojin coming in like a bias-wrecker. You are so genuine in your love for Kpop and especially Loona. Your videos are like a nice cup of tea, comforting and enjoyable. It is like watching with a friend. That's why I decided to support you on Patreon. I only support 2 people on here, as they are the 2 who actually bring me joy when I watch their videos. Seeing your trip to South Korea was great. I had just decided at that time that I was going to do a trip there and to Japan for myself. That won't be for another 2 years, as I am saving for it to be epic. You were definitely an inspiration. Thanks for being my kpop "friend" as none of my other friends enjoy it. If you have anything to give that is appreciated, but you give so much already :)

I am happy to say that I consider you a friend as well, Gabriel! I'm so glad you contacted me (and helped me get official merch and the albums once they were released!) because it was so much fun to have a fellow Orbit to hang out with, talk about LOONA with and even go from store to store to make sure they had their new albums on display lol (I still need to edit that vlog, but I haven't forgotten!). I'm glad it brought meaning to your trip as well, we did had a lot of fun together and shared great meals! I still tell everyone about when we were having lunch and eating bibimbap and the lady working there said that we were mixing it well. I FELT SO PROUD!! Probably silly but it made me so happy haha. Yeah, I think we got our hands on the same kind of things from the concert! Of course, next time we meet dinner will be on you haha! I can't wait!!

johanmoon

Thank you so much for your kind words, it means so much for me to hear that. I'm so happy that me going there was able to bring you joy as well, that was something I really wanted to accomplish when going. I know student life can be really rough and I'm so grateful for your support 💕 It truly was one of the best experiences of my life for many reasons and I hope I can go back one day. The best thing ever would be for all of us to meet at a LOONA concert, together?! Big dreams but first step is to send it in to (orbit and) the universe! You never know. That would be legendary and I hope it happens, wherever it may be! One of the reasons I love LOONA so much, too, is because of the fandom. Ahh I'm getting so emotional responding to all you amazing and wonderful people, I can't say thank you enough!! 💕 But still, thank you again for being part of the fandom and for supporting me so much 💕

Mark Bowley

Yes idol room would be a great gift)))

johanmoon

I'm so glad you felt like you had someone to obsess with through me, I love it when people feel like they have a friend in me and someone to relate to! Ahh, that's so cool! Say hi to your brother from me lol. I'm so grateful for your support and that I even have inspired you to be more positive. I myself have been influenced by other creators in that way and I'm so happy because, while it can be hard, it is also so rewarding if you keep at it. It even spreads! That sounded weird but you know what I mean. I'm sending love your way and I hope you continue to stay positive through tough times. You always have a friend in me, if you support me on Patreon or not. Truthfully LOONA and Orbit, as you said, has helped me a lot too. I'm glad we can be here for eachother, uniting in LOONACY! That is so sweet of you, I will make a note of your options. But please let me know your bias too so I can send something along for just you. Thank you again for supporting what I do 💕

johanmoon

I'm so glad I could be there to make your LOONA experience better. I just want to be like a friend for yall to obsess with because when I do, it feels like I have aswell. It may sound weird but whenever I record a video (especially for Patreon) it feels like you're all with me. It's such a strange feeling to describe but it feels so safe and fun and I'm glad you can feel it through the screen! Or however it works, lol. Energies can be hard to make science out of but I truly believe in them. I think that's what makes it work too. Anyway, I'm so glad you enjoy my work enough to support me, no matter how long you have or decide to do so! I'm grateful for every little bit. Please don't feel uneasy about asking for what you like, it honestly fills me with so much joy to able to share this feeling with you all. I get the gift of giving, too! And I want to share the experience as much as I can, because I would have loved that if I hadn't been able to go myself. I'm still so grateful I did and I'll always have the memory inside me. Go Won main and Haseul second, I will make note of your choices. And the photocard you mentioned is yours! Thank you for all your lovely words, it means so much to me. And again, thank you for supporting me the way you do. 💕

johanmoon

It does take quite a lot of time.. Especially my yyxy solo MV reactions, the editing alone for those took around 10h lol. But they're also some of my favOriTe videos to date. Looong, emotional rollercoasters! Are you sure? I really would love to send you something! Even if it's just a small token it's something from their actual debut concert to have. But I won't force you, of course! Just let me know which one of the girl's you'd like to have something of. Because I love seeing your comments so much, I would love to give back. See it as a christmas gift from Cookie!! But you'll always have my videos too, lol 💕

You reacted to Kim Lip on May 28, 2017. I was totally obsessed with Eclipse and you popped up in my recommendeds. And at 3:23 in that video, you started dancing along, and that is when I hit the sub button because I knew right then that you were a genuine Cinnamon Roll, Too Precious For This World. Then I got to relive the excitement of the previous videos through you, and then we both experienced the reveals for JinSoul, Choerry, and YYXY together. (Granted, a little late from Yves on, since I don't want to watch reaction videos until I've uploaded my own, but still.) It wasn't until Go Won's teaser on Jan. 28 this year that I left a comment on a video! And I also sent you a message that day. I had been binge-watching your reactions because I was having a rough day and your sincerity and joy just cheered me up so much. So I sent you a message thanking you and telling you I adored you in a totally platonic, big-sister way...and I still do! So when you started a Patreon of course I wanted to support you! I loved being able to experience Korea and LoonaBIRTH through your videos. My dream is that someday LOONA will come to KCON New York and you'll be able to take some time off work, fly into Washington D.C., and take the train up with me to NYC. (That might sound weird from someone you barely know, but my Australian friend and I did a three-week-long Great America Tour a couple of years ago, when I'd only met him once before at a convention, and it was honestly one of the best times in both our lives -- that boy ate mac'n'cheese in SIX different states. I mean, we did all the historical stuff as well, but he STILL talks about the food.) I've gotten off the subject. What was the question? Anyway, there's not a single thing I'd like from the merch video. That's your haul and your memories! If I were you I would make a scrapbook out of everything. If I could make a request, though...I am a huge fan of Mikey Chen (he's the one who actually got me watching YouTube for people and not just music videos), but he hasn't gone to any of the Baltic countries. Kerli showed some Estonian food and nightlife during her Feral Hearts era when she partnered with Visit Estonia, and I'd love to learn more about Sweden than it just being the land of clogs and IKEA. If you could do a vlog about your daily life, or your town, or even just your McDonald's menu, that would be so interesting for me to watch. But only if you want to!
