OMG Johan! Your introduction was hilarious! My family pronounces our last name as Yokum. People get it wrong more often than they get it right and it's totally understandable. It isn't pronounced how it looks. It's perfectly acceptable for you to use my first name only. I'm so happy you enjoyed reacting to the video! I'm also glad you mentioned not knowing much about the girls, because I was already planning to request another ITZY video for the month of January. I will be sure to post that on the community page though. I was lucky enough to get to meet ITZY during their Hi-Touch at KCON LA (aka LOONACON) this past August. To participate in a Hi-Touch, you have to purchase an artist engagement package and you are given 1 random Hi-Touch. Also, at the time of the artist engagement packages going on sale, the groups that will be participating are not yet finalized. I purchased mine with hopes of getting to meet LOONA, but unfortunately they didn't end up being one of the groups available. I ended up receiving ITZY, which I was super excited about! I was already a fan of their music (Cherry's my favorite song), but getting to meet them solidified me into a full-blown MIDZY. The girls were very gracious and humble for being there. I don't mean for any of this to sound like I'm gloating. Just wanting to share my experience. You're partially responsible for my attending KCON LA and I want to thank you for that. You introduced me to LOONA. I originally discovered your YouTube channel shortly after Olivia Hye's "Egoist" released. I had already heard Yves's "New" and Chuu's "Heart Attack", but didn't pay any attention that they were released from the same company or that they were even linked. I'm assuming that's how "Egoist" eventually showed up in my recommendations. "Egoist" really caught my ear though, for that combination of Olivia's vocals and JinSoul's rapping was perfect. From there, I decided to search for "Egoist" reactions to see what everyone else thought about the song. To my surprise, not many people were doing LOONA reactions at that time. Back then, their solo MV's were only in the 1 to 2 million view range. You however, were already ahead of the game. You weren't doing reactions to them because it was trendy or that it would get you views. You were doing it because you were emotionally invested and had a genuine love of the genre. I found your "Egoist" reaction and that's where I met you and Cookie, of course. Your enthusiasm and energy was infectious. After watching your first viewing of "Egoist", I was left with questions. Most importantly, what's going on and who's HeeJin? I was then sent down a rabbit hole of reaction videos. Through your reactions, I discovered LOONA. Long story short, that ultimately led me to stanning LOONA and getting to meet ITZY. Your reactions are always a highlight to my day! Thank you, Johan! I also want to post this here. It doesn't sound like you're gloating at all, that sounds like an amazing experience! I'm glad it worked out and you were lucky enough to get to meet them even though it was random, you deserve that!! Thank you so much for all your kind words, stories like this are one of the reasons I love to do what I do and share my love for k-pop and mostly underrated girl groups.
