Hello 🌙

I recorded my reaction for "Oh My God" on the 13th but I never posted it then because I didn't like my reaction that much, I explain it further towards the end of this video, but this was the first video that I recorded after I had changed my setup and I talked a little about how I was feeling that day, so I still wanted to share it.
(And because Cookie just had so many things to say)

Today (22nd) I recorded my first listen to "Luv U" and "Maybe" and decided to upload it all in one video here on Patreon in a public post. Again, I explain my hesitations towards the end of the video.

One reason for lack of lines is lack of fluency in the language, but I struggle to really believe that's the issue with Shuhua. I've not seen very much reality content for them, but I'm fairly sure she's at least as good as Yuqi and Minnie. So that leaves only 2 real options. The first being that each person is in the group for a particular reason. The "problem" for Shuhua is not necessarily that she can't sing, I'm sure she can sing very well, but that she's in the group with 5 other amazing vocalists, in particular Minnie, Yuqi and Miyeon. When you have such unique and/or amazing voices like that, you'd be stupid not to use them. Having said that, Shuhua does seem like at worst a competent vocalist who could handle more lines without taking anything away from the vibe of the song. As for who gets to decide who sings, I'm sure Soyeon writes certain lines with certain members in mind, but even though she writes and composes, I have a feeling that the final call is with Cube, and if they just don't want something, it doesn't happen. That leaves the second option, and one I don't think many people think about. Perhaps Shuhua just doesn't want to sing. She might be perfectly happy with her role in the group as it is right now. I definitely think she's a big influence on them behind the scenes, she always seems very outgoing and happy outside of the actual performances. She's almost certainly one of, if not *the* main mood maker of the group. She's an extremely good dancer, and she's gorgeous. Calling back to the first option, she's in the group with extremely talented vocalists, and perhaps that either leaves her less confident in her own voice, or in a position where she doesn't need to push herself to be something she isn't or doesn't want to be. Only they know the truth I guess, and personally I would love to see more of Shuhua singing, but if it turns out it's her choice, then I respect that. P.S. I'm so glad you love Minnie too. I have a hard time choosing between her and Soyeon as my bias. But ever since hearing Minnie cover Gravity by Sara Bareilles, I've never been able to get enough of her voice.

NOT an articulate comment at all since I blab blabbed away in the discord but YES DON'T BE MEAN TO YOURSELF JOHAN. I love your reactions because they are always SO fun and SO genuine and believe me when I say we're all here because we want to see what you think and what your opinions are! You gave me such nice compliments I was shook at the end of your video LOL. Sometimes I think about doing reactions but also I think about how terribly governed I am by my taste in music so if I had to react to a cute concept I wouldn't have anything to say... oh well. Thoughts for the future and thank you!!

It seems it happens allot that chineese Idols get few lines. Vivi,Handong and Shuhua to name some. Yuqi maybe gets lines because of her voice. Now with Shuhua it could make sense that she had zero/few lines in the early days of the group cause she wasn't so good in korean. But since then she has gotten more and more until now it seems. I have a random theory. After the performance for Lion in queendom, Shuhua got so upset since she felt like she messed up her korean. Maybe she only wanted to be on the title track but couldn't handle any more right now. She has a whole verse im OMG, like she had in Uh Oh.

I have to agree with Lycoria and tell you I am a patreon member because you are honest and care about your content. I have stopped watching a lot of other youtubers because their reactions just seem fake, how can every new song be the best ever. It's okay to not like some thing, that's more real than loving everything that comes out. If you are afraid of offending fans, then I totally understand not posting on youtube. Please stay safe and keep working hard.
