Reacting to MIXNINE 🗑️ Episode 3

I haven’t had a chance to watch the whole episode yet, but went ahead and checked out the Ryujin and ATEEZ segments. All members of ATEEZ auditioned, but only 4 of them were selected. The editing in this show is some of the finest I’ve ever seen (sarcasm). In episode 2, I also noticed 2 members from ONEUS that were selected from the RBW auditions. Thank you for continuing to react to this!

okay, regardless how much of a scum Seungri is. the part when they met with Jessica, when he asked her why she wasn't on variety shows was just hilarious ngl ;)

Oof, I had forgotten just how much I hated this show lol It was such a bad experience overall for DC and the fandom at the time and the DC members still show resentment towards it to this day! Like even just only a month or so ago on vlive, Yoohyeon and Dami were lowkey giving Messnine shit after Yooh simply said the words 'Just dance' lol and it triggered them reminding them of the shows main song.. They didn't start spilling tea or anything but you could clearly see they still despise the experience of it all. The show took place between Fly High and You and I eras, and it's STILL a touchy subject in DC's mind apparently after 3 years now.. Was a bad time as a fan, and a much worse time for the DC members! :S

From memory, the main reason InSomnia (we didn't even have a fandom name back then actually haha wow) HATED Mixnine before, during, and then after it's airtime: During the short time DC were on the show they got barely any screen time despite YG using DC name for hype on mixnine social media often.. Multiple moments that showed the DC members, were cut from the main episodes and only uploaded in extra footage clips the show barely promoted at all.. And some of the cut content we only got to see because fans won voting polls so we could actually see JiU's audition dance in full for example.. Siyeon looked like she HATED being on the show in general and wanted out asap, wasn't acting like her usual happy funny self, and at times came across like she was straight up trying to be unpopular/not fit the desired model just in order to get eliminated asap.. Before the show even started, k-fans were purposely not going to vote so DC would get eliminated because they had reason to believe DC had no desire to be on Mixnine in the first place, and HFE weren't exactly keen on it either apparently but had pretty much no choice as a small company... When YG comes knocking, it would of been seen as bad form in the industry to ignore him... The show had terrrrrible ratings, Korea was barely watching it at all - so it seemed like the group had been separated, DC activities halted, and the members were going through all of this for absolutely no good tangible reason what so ever.. The end result of them possibly being in the winning team under YG's control wasn't appealing either! And lastly, we learned after DC had left the show, that Yoohyeon was barely eating during Mixnine (sounded like it was due to stress/anxiety caused by the competition but she didn't say it directly if i remember correctly) and it seemed to have been really difficult on her and Siyeon the most out of the members (or at least they were just the ones who were coping with it the the worst outwardly) - and they never personally got anything positive from it in the end. Eventually after their Brazil and especially Europe Tour the girls all looked happy again, but damn it sucked seeing them be separated and being trapped in that show at the time - was like an early Christmas when they announced they weren't going back! Messnine, good times lol :P
