STRAY KIDS "Mixtape" Pre-Debut Album First Listen

Thanks for reacting to SKZ! Ya Ya Ya didn't make my playlist either tbh, but I love Glow a lot! To answer some of your questions, the members all used their real names pre-debut, but some of them switched to stage names after debut. Jisung now goes by Han (his last name), Jeongin goes by I.N, and Minho goes by Lee Know. Woojin was the main vocalist and left the group in late 2019. It's pretty clear they didn't part on good terms, but other than that...there are a lot of rumours, but ultimately no one knows why he left. But imo there's nothing wrong with acknowledging that he has a good voice. They've re-recorded a lot of their older songs as 8 members now, without Woojin in them. All the vocalists have worked extremely hard to improve and fill his spot in the group since he left. Seungmin especially has improved so much in the last year and a half, and while they don't have official positions anymore, it's pretty much understood that he's their main vocalist now. All of the Mixtape songs were written for challenges during their pre-debut survival show, which is why the styles are quite varied (although they do tend to explore a lot of different genres anyway). The last 3 songs were originally unit songs for challenges, but they released them on the album as new versions for 9 members. 4419 is actually originally a friendship song, although they do often write their lyrics in a way that can be interpreted more broadly if you want. Chan was inspired while writing it by his friendship with GOT7's Bam Bam - they were trainees together and often rode Bus #4419 together. Sorry this comment is so long haha, hope it was helpful tho!
