These two are my favourite episodes of Fever road, they are so adorable and playful (and I do have a huge soft spot for Seonghwa being scared of heights🥺). Though it is a bit unfortunate how much if left untranslated especially in ep3 even if you mostly get the gist of it from the context :/ The prologues & epilogues are tied to the storyline and especially to their Diary Film, without watching it you wont get much out of these snippets. Poor hongjoong was actually rushed to the hospital after drinking all the fish sauce because he had an allergic reaction to it and that's when he found out that he was actually allergic to fish sauce that's why the next day he had an eye patch 🥺

the one painted nail you pointed out on hongjoong's hand? it's actually for a non-profit organisation holding a campaign called "the polished man" campaign. it's to raise awareness that one in every five children (thats why participants only paint one nail out of five) experience child abuse and/or violence. hongjoong has been participating in this campaign since pre-debut, and having one painted nail tends to spark conversations as to why he does it etc. as to which he responds by telling them about the campaign and how we can support children who have and are being abused. there have been clips of hongjoong explaining what the campaign is throughout the years, and i think it's even cooler to know that he doesn't see it as an "obligation". last year in late 2020, ateez were named ambassadors of the "polished man campaign"! hongjoong doesn't do the bare minimum too he switches nail polish every few days and sometimes he paints 4/5 nails instead of painting just the one! he has participated in many campaigns throughout their career such as the remembrance of the "sewol ferry tragedy" and the "dear heart" campaign that seeks to raise funds for children's heart disease foundation in korea and showing support for the "happy hippie" foundation that rallies people in speaking up against the injustice directed towards homeless youth and lgbtq+ youth.

actually the whole issue with "happy hippie" campaign is made up by someone. it has been confirmed that the ring he was wearing that people associated with the campaign is not related to it whatsoever. he was basically wearing a ring from Korean brand (just a regular jewelry brand that isn't associated to any campaigns).
