anielinka89

Hey Nigel! I just wanted to explain this little blue tree. Blue Tree Project is Australian mental health initiative. Its mission is to help build a mentally health future, whilst kicking the stigma of mental health. Blue trees are a symbol to stand strong and be able to branch out to someone you trust.

i swear Nigel, all groups in kingdom got a trophy for the place they got, u js gotta watch 😀

Lauren_001

Okay now that wish has been granted… can we finish Kingdom? 😭

Chrissyy89

The tree represents The Blue Tree Project in Australia, which ultimately provides and supports resources for mental health. This was his way of bringing awareness to it (a taboo subject for many), and to say "you're not alone; I'm right there with you; its ok to not be ok".

Strawbinnii

Nigel if you’re gonna listen to HYUNJINS new records you NEED to listen to both of them because they’re kinda connected to each other. So “long for you ” first and then “hey you”. I promise you’re gonna love them 🥹🫶🏽🫶🏽

Dominique Brown

The tree symbolizes the blue tree project that helps raise awareness for mental health

Strawbinnii

Never getting over street light ❤️‍🩹

Reese Nase

funfact, but changbin released this song during mental health awareness month and the blue tree references the blue tree project made with this purpose to encourage people to speak up when battling mental health concerns.

AshicallyMe

Nigel, I love you so much man. You're always speaking right to my soul and I almost can't handle how overwhelmed I get sometimes. You say exactly what I need to hear. I won't get into my own personal stuff but, just. Thank you. Thank you so much ♥

Nina Quokka

From what I know Changbin said about this song that it’s a song in which he used the lyrics to compare a person who suffers emotional pain and sorrow on his own without telling anyone, who smiles and pretends like things are okay, to a streetlight. If you ask someone for advice about their problems, even if that person can’t resolve everything for you, just opening up about your feelings makes your heart rest a little easier and that before he wrote this song, there was a time when he was also really struggling on his own and wasn’t able to tell anyone. But by writing those feelings into his lyrics and recording this song, he felt like he had shared them with someone, which gave him a sense of relief and he hopes that the people who listen to this song will also find someone who will listen to what they have to say and empathize with their pain.

Jessica Long

Thank you for all the work you do. Honestly, seeing you is what made me smile today.

Emily Cortes

The Blue Tree Project is an Aussie project to get rid of the stigma around mental health. The project goal is to open up conversations about mental health to start healing. Binnie wrote this when he was having a really tough time and didn't feel like he could tell anyone about it because he's always trying to be the one others lean on. He said by writing and putting out this song it relieved some of his pain.

Bombdiggityyo

Nigel did you peep that Binnie was singing to the tree and at the end the tree is sitting on one of the chairs … the blue paint is just supposed to represent tears as a way to see sadness is how I gather it. I was so sad for you when you didn’t watch the video during the album review, but I’m glad you came back to it.

Maria Rebecca

We all here for each other. We love you too Nigel. (hugs)

Carly Rodgers

If I’m not mistaken, the tree was like a nod to the Blue Tree Project which is all about mental health awareness, breaking the stigma and used to help get support. It’s a beautiful MV 💙

Kelli Emory

Love the Stray Kids reactions but where Alice In Borderland?

Liz

I love the comment that says "even if he's not your bias, he's your bias" lol cause somehow, I went from just one bias to three to every single one cause they all are amazing in their own way. You are doing amazing job Nigel, I'm a late viewer but I definitely love your videos it really does my days better and when I need a laugh on my bad days I go back and rewatch your videos.

Mal

not me crying on my bday XD love this song tho

Dianne

I beg you to please watch the intro for MAXIDENT before you dive into the album so that you understand the concept and what it means to them.

Beth_12345

Changbin said he could hear Hyunjin at the end with Bang Chan. He was no longer alone, his brothers are there for him. Now he can be a streetlight for Stays

Beth_12345

We are proud of you, and we’ll be here when you need us.

catluvver

This song means so much to me<3 I'm glad it's getting so much attention

Kaitlyn M

0325lix

pls pls watch the maxident intro before the album it was so enlightening and heartwrenching

Tianna Caio

Hi Nigel, whilst not confirmed, i believe the blue tree is a reference to something called the blue tree project started in Australia where trees were painted blue across the world. The Blue Tree Project was founded with a mission to help start difficult conversations and encourage people to speak up when experiencing mental health concerns. The blue trees serve as a reminder about the importance of speaking about mental health as well as a way to start conversations about mental health instead of concealing the issues. Hope that helps :)

Ashley Lawson

I Love every member because they are all unique but changbinnie always was my fav because he's so underrated. He says in one of the episodes he always smiles to keep all the members happy but he hates to be alone. I seen someone else say it but the blue tree project started in Australia and it's about mental health and talking about it and not bottling up emotions. Nigel I'm newish to you. I stumbled on you on YouTube and subscribed to you and set up patreon. Your the only influencer I know who's true to the self and can make me laugh even when things are not good mentally for myself. But your a streetlight to me 💖

_.moogsie_

idk if this is just an Australian thing but their are some dead trees painted blue to raise awareness of mental health and and the stigma behind it, "its okay to not be okay", (there is one across the street from my house) so I'd like to think Channie may have got the tree idea from Australia and brought it up to Binnie for the MV <33 At the end where the paint started dripping on his hand it could symbolise that he is like the dead tree covered in bright paint... :(

_.moogsie_

truly such a beautiful song

Layah

He's an Egyptian. Nigel 😭😭😭😭😭

aeraaa

Hey Nigel I did get your DM, but I have no earthly idea why every time I keep sending a message trying to reply back it says “something’s wrong.” 🥲

HarryellJ

Ah Nigel I love you so much and I’m so so proud of you♥️ I thank you from the bottom of my heart for always telling me you’re proud of me even when I’m not of myself sometimes ♥️ You roast tf out of us sometimes, I also roast you too duh but it makes me love you more🫶🏽 I’M PROUD OF BEING A DOZEN🔊🔊♥️♥️

Jade

can you please watch "cant live without changbin" i think you'll love the song :D

Tenby

I'm so thankful that you do this for us, Nigel. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings about this music and the amazing people who make it. It's really validating that you see and feel a lot of the same things I do (I'm sure there are other Stays and Army and such who would agree!), and sometimes you have insights that I hadn't thought of before. Plus, you're really funny and kind! This is one of my favorite songs in the entire world, of all time. I already loved Changbin, but this song made me realize how incredible he is not only as an artist and entertainer, but as a person. It takes real self awareness, maturity, and vulnerability to acknowledge one's feelings this deeply, and such bravery to talk about those feelings with anyone, let alone the whole world. I've tried to be that streetlight through many periods of my life, lighting up the darkness for others when I, myself, was struggling. It's not easy. I cannot even comprehend the incredible strength and courage Changbin has to be able to be a streetlight for ALL OF US. The JUTDAE! Immense love and respect for him; he is a truly good soul.

Meteora17

AND I'M FREAKING PROUD OF YOU BRO.

Liah

Can you post the next two episodes of Alice in borderland please cause you missed last week

Michelle Hannaford
