The tiny white parts in a raw egg are called chalazae, which are twisted strands of egg white protein that anchor the yolk in the center of the egg. The chalazae attach to the yolk's casing and the membrane lining the eggshell, keeping the yolk from pressing against the shell or moving to one side when the egg sloshes around. They're also safe to eat. The more visible the chalazae are, the higher the quality and freshness of the egg. If the chalazae aren't very prominent, the egg might be lower quality or going stale. When you cook an egg, the chalazae will disappear into the egg white, but you can remove them with a fork if you're cooking something that needs to be smooth, like custard or curd. 💜

This show makes me so happy! It really does feel like watching an old married couple with a very healthy relationship and much love for each other just going about their daily lives while on vacation. It's soul-healing to see! And they are SO REAL for showing the messy parts of traveling on vacation, too! Poor Jimin getting food poisoning, eaten alive by mosquitos, burned by the motorcycle (WHO let him on that thing in just a pair of workout shorts and flip-flop sandals??! just plain dangerous!), and JK crashing into his heel with the shopping cart. And JK falling over into the water while kayaking, getting rained on, and just being so patient while Jimin needed to rest. Yet despite all the messy bits, they still had such a good time together, you can tell! I'm glad they got to eat a lot of good food and experience some of the beautiful nature we've got in the US. They've been to lots of big cities on tour, so I'm glad they got to see some trees this time! I'm looking forward to seeing all the places they end up going next! :D
