the chat during the katseye mv was so dramatic, music is subjective so you obviously don't need to like everything they release, but the song is definitely not as terrible as everyone is making it out to be. also these are ADULT WOMEN the world is not gonna end because they show a lil skin and shake ass y'all are starting to sound like misogynists.

I agree with you, and I don't even listen to their music that much. For me, it's more about the drama within the group and fandom than the music. It's so weird how it's "women can wear what they want!" until it's actual women wearing what they want. :| It's also crazy because I see people wearing clothes like theirs all the time, just not in the k-pop industry. But they aren't fully k-pop, so I don't understand why people are applying the same expectations to them when those standards have been toxic asf in the first place. They also dance so well, and the choreography eats almost every time. I feel like people expect them to keep making music like "touch," but they've talked about how that era's music and aesthetics weren't really them and weren't what they wanted to continue doing, which is enough explanation for why they aren't going back to that sound, at least for now. The whole Manon situation is fucked up, and I really hope she comes back and is treated well this time, but using her situation as an excuse to drag the group over insignificant things like showing skin and dancing how they want is absolutely misogynistic and shallow.

the problem everytime you go into a katseye video is you go in negatively… i didn’t like pinky up or even internet girl, def didn’t like Animal, but this release actually is good to me? if this would’ve been a random release by another girl group no one would be complaining this much.

The Wayf Boys absolutely loved their song and will listen to more of their music. However, katseye is a hard no for me because I really don't understand why their music is so unappealing to me. I don't know if it's due to gnarly being my first impression of them, but I honestly thought gnarly wasn't a real song at first. Now hooti frutti dropped and I really don't understand the vision. Cortis is a hit or miss with me, but I find its best for me to watch their performances which has me liking some song a bit more than before. This a fun stream to watch and can't wait for more.

It’s inevitable to go in negatively when all of their songs are bad. Ofc some people might like it bcs music is subjective but most people don’t like their songs and Nigel is one of them, if he already knows what kind of music they release he won’t be expecting much, I’m sure if he went in expecting more he would’ve been even more disappointed. I personally listen to hootie frootie bcs I think it’s catchy BUT it’s a bad song anyways, most of katseye songs have that, they are catchy but are far from being peak music.
