Here the translations of the important names and places you heard so far: Characters: Frieren = freezing / to feel cold Fern = Far (New) Stark = Strong (New) Flamme = Flame Heiter = Cheerful / Happy Eisen = Iron Himmel = Sky Qual = Agony Places: (New) Ende = The End

Isis Peoples

That sound delay is the English dub. Yes, the voice actors aren't bad. But the English translation is bad. It sounds weird because we don't speak like that. I think the voice actors are doing the best they can. But the sub is sometimes totally different. Like why not have the voice actors read the sub as a script vs this weird English translation Meaning is lost in translation with the dub. I think the voice actors are doing pretty great. But they got a crappy translation.

With the see-through-clothes grimoire, Frieren says "you can see through what someone perceives as clothing". Probably relies heavily on the intelligence of said monster/human/animal if its able to understand what clothing is. You could also see if someone's hiding weapons under their clothes or something else they may be hiding on them.

Since you like D&D fantasy, you should try an anime called "Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash". Its very unique. Only one season but there are like 20 lite novels of the story.

Carl Rigney

Clarus: "I would put money against it. I'm gonna say no. I'll bet you $100 there is no romance between them." Even though he has anime protagonist hair?
