Yes! I'm so happy that you like Hody as a villain! I was so scared you wouldn't because so many in the fandom find him boring. Personally, I just don't understand the hate this arc gets. I really hope you will continue to enjoy this arc and not change your mind.

I have to defend Sanji a little here Oda established way back in Skypia (if not earlier) that he clearly puts pretty girls especially pretty girls that are his friends at THE TOP of his protection priority list. He even tells Usopp that he's on his own if they get attacked but still defends him when push comes to shove. Also you're conflating the blood nose rocket uber horny Sanji with the heart eyes rapid leg shuffle, infatuation, simp Sanji. He mentions all the other reasons first because they are still very important to him, its just as we've discussed his hot female friends and slightly behind them any hot female will always trump any other source of motivation. His excessive horny/overbearing attitude coupled with his at the risk of his own life refusal to even fight a woman just shows a complex character who has deeply and unshakably rooted chivalrous ideas but lacks the maturity to execute on them.

I think one of the reasons Sanji's simping is so over-the-top is that if he were actually smooth, we'd be in a situation where he was regularly hitting on women SUCCESSFULLY, which would throw all kinds of wrenches into the overall narrative flow
