I always took cyberpsychosis to be like pain tolerance. Some people stub their toe and are out for hours. Others can get their bodies covered in tattoos/piercings in some of the most painful places imaginable and be fine. Two different people could have 2 different reactions to the same amount of cyber implants. Maybe they didn't show the sex scene between David and Lucy because he's underage?
