I have a strong feeling that despite what Erwin does in the future he will still find something to knickpick at lmao

Rand al'Thorfinn

We're not "celebrating failure" lol wtf. Most of us acknowledged that Erwin's plan failed, we just don't think he should be immediately burned at the stake for said failure.

Zyrus

For what Erwin had planned for, he did pretty well. He's not a god who could have predicted the female titan could command the other titans, and he had no idea skin hardening was a thing. The fact that he even says the operation fucked up because of this shows you his integrity and ability to adapt. Calling it a disaster when they learned quite a bit about the female titan is a /stretch/. Also, I'd buy that t-shirt.

keep on going with these reactions guys - I think you both make valid points and I completely love your debating <3

Eren is currently inside of a Titan's mouth, and Levi's whole team is dead. Disaster feels appropriate.

I was mostly being salty towards all the people calling him the GOAT in the comments of the previous video

That's fair, you do make some valid points, and I think there are some people who overlook any mistakes he's made whatsoever. That said, I definitely lean closer to Claroos on this one.

It's SEASON 1. A lot of stuff is going to seem vague and unanswered for a while. Give Erwin a chance.

If the main contention is that Erwin would reasonably face consequences for what happened, then I think you're right (and who knows, he might), my disagreement and probably the disagreement of most people is that it doesn't mean the plan was bad or that he's stupid. When only considering the information they had before they set out, it still seems worth trying to me. But it's as Levi said, you have to make choices and you don't know how they'll turn out, as Eren realized himself this episode. Eren's decision to trust his allies wasn't a bad one at the time, but now there are many dead because of it.

I'm 100% with Nerdy. Erwin sucks as a commander. Unpopular opinion, but it is what it is.

So apparently Erwin is supposed to prescient now? Good to know that's the standard for command these days.

Crez0le

When is the next episode coming out? will be next tuesday again?

Jessica

Nerdy, I feel you.

purpleracing

Wrong Wrong and Wrong Nerdy. You are missing the point. Basically, the show is telling us that humanity has no ideas or clues as to what titans are and what they can do especially these smart titans, so they have to keep pushing forward and try to find answers no matter what it takes, even if people die. Without any sacrifices, they will never uncover truth so therefore, you have to try anything and everything in order to win. If you do nothing, there will be no progress and humanity will certainly lose. If you are honest with yourself, you will grow to like Erwin whether or not he makes the right decisions. You are lucky that Clarus is very patient with you. Sorry she is the smart one here and I will buy the t shirt 100%. I love that she understands AOT and that it was a very well written story.

Just wanted to say I don't have a dog in this fight but I'm loving this reaction series. Hope the comments don't get to you cause it's great hearing your authentic opinions, and it's cool to hear the different theories you both have at this point. Keep up the great work guys :)

Random observation and question: Why do anime and daytime soap operas make a 10 minute conversation into hours of screen time?

Xaniss

i mean... Erwin DID tell Levi to restock.
