Kinda figured y’all would have this response, cuz even when I read this it was odd to me n I think it was meant to be kinda off-putting and confusing at the time. If ur gonna keep spreading out ur reactions to this be vigilant to avoiding more spoilers cuz this might make the dweebs angry 👌🏽

James Shuler

Hey guys. Glad to see you guys still posting. The only thing I want to say is do not trust everything Eren says. Take the things he says with a grain of salt. Remember he is the Big Bad of this season. Like you guys have said, some of what he said was contradictory; he called Armin a slave for having titans in his head but Eren himself has titans in his head. Also think about information you have received form Kenny's granddad about the Ackernmans in season 3. How could the Ackermans rebel against the king if they were all slaves?

shmaimeee

lets just keep in mind that just because a character in this show says something doesnt mean that it's necessarily accurate, dono why you immediately jumped to it being mikasa being an ethnic woman thing

Mason Sali-Orvald

I appreciate your reactions because I think you’re super reactive and dramatic, but it’s clear you’re actually being honest and at least thinking about it, even if I hate your interpretation. Just let it cook. I hated the mikasa thing too but you’re just going to have to wait lol.

shmaimeee

also just to add on about the ackermanns abilities 'never being introduced' it has been alluded to, especially in season 3 where levi was talking to mikasa about kenny he asked mikasa if she'd ever felt a surge of overwhelming strength before and she flashbacked to the cabin with eren as kids and then he said kenny had moments like that and so did he (levi). also levi is an eldian, and it has been noted in previous seasons (by kennys grandad) that they were originally a clan of warriors that protected the eldian king but then turned their back on king fritz and hence became persecuted within the walls

Thicc Thanos

Ngl I busted out laughing when I clicked the noti and saw everyone kinda saying the same thing 🤣I just found it kind of funny how everyone is trying to put out the fire and needs to kinda pseudo spoil things to try and calm things a bit. I just imagine everyone as that Chris Pratt dinosaur gif with their hands up. 😂

Anna Kyruin

I agree, a lot of stuff Eren said doesn't make sense if you look even a bit below the surface does it.

Eugene Conner

On the topic of the show not displaying Mikasa's strength in earlier seasons, I thought the same thing but later realized there was a simar "steel beam" scene earlier in the show. In the earlier scene they show her lift and load an entire barrel of supplies by herself.

They are in the anglo-sphere of influence, it's all about "empowering" e being "tollerant", still sad they can't enjoy a show without serching for politically correct things. It's really weird have them bringing politics everytime

shmaimeee
>>110884926

nah aot IS a political show and its female characters could have been written better but i feel like that was a really instantaneous reach to come to

Luca Martellucci

I don't know if someone have still the patience of explaing why you are getting wrong half of the episode complaing about things they already explained you. It's sad becouse you bring valid points when you dont talk about the "magic" of the show, it seems like you missed every episode. Btw the rules are the same since the start i've being trying for years to search for errors in the show and they are few

Luca Martellucci
>>110884926

Mate, it's a military show for the most part ofc it's not all females characters but we have still good ones, i mean look at Hange Zoe. And it's fisiologic for a male autor to don't get the opposite sex characters always right

Moons
>>110888963

But what they discussed and how they felt about it is 100% valid here. What Eren said to Mikasa and Armin doesn’t make sense and is full of contradictions

MBH 77

I had a feeling you guys wouldn’t like the table scene but not for the reason you mentioned. To be honest I’m surprised you guys believe what Eren says so wholeheartedly. He doesn’t have any proof of this. And it seems weird that he went all the way there to say he hates Mikasa. You have to look deeper and not take it at face value. Also there was an Ackerman plot line in s3, rewatch it. It was already mentioned that Ackermans have an inner power that is awakened. And remember they were being persecuted by the King because they COULD NOT be controlled, the complete opposite of what Eren is saying. My only issues with the table scene is Armin acting a bit out of character for me. And what Eren did to them was kind of pointless but that’s because I have knowledge from future episodes. And about the Mikasa thing(Mainly at Clarus), please just trust the author for now. There’s a lot more to it. It isn’t just because she’s ethnic or woman or whatever. You have to stop thinking like this.

shmaimeee
>>110884926

i didnt say we dont have good ones i just said they could be better lol

Minerva Ravenclaw

The Yeagerists are bad. This is clear. Apparently not to everyone tho🤣💔Eren confronting Mikasa and saying those things is a bit skeptical... But yea Paradis is in chaos now, and Marley has infiltrated. Enjoy the next events, or at least I hope you enjoy them😅 Clarus needs to watch with an open mind 😅 she got really angry during the Mikasa scene... It was a sad scene tbh but just wait and see how things will unfold

Minerva Ravenclaw

I don't understand why Clarus is taking things too personally 😅 yea Eren has become the villain... It's like Clarus has a beef with Eren 🤣it's just a character gone bad, just like Anakin when he killed all them young Padawans...

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>110884926

Man... Sasha, Hange, Mikasa, Ymir, Yelena, Annie, Pieck and Gabi. All are strong Female characters. Even Historia's arc in s02-03

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>110888963

But they keep calling the Ackermans by magic people 😅 and they're not, they're just strong and not THAT strong since as they mentioned themselves Levi hurt his ankle in s01 and had to rest for a while (few days). They just have awakened powers but nothing like over the top magic. They're physically stronger than the average person. And Clarus being confused on how the spinal fluid works also does not make sense...why is she trying to find any little thing and say it's inconvenient...

Clitubis

Y’all need to watch the show a bit more before you judge things. These episodes are only 20 minutes long. Y’all have zero faith in the author which is why you’re so quick to judge the writing. But you just have to let the story unfold and use your heads a bit. Be more analytical with literature and stop just taking everything at face value and judging things too quickly..

Osbaldokun

They are going to hate the magic stuff in the 2nd half for sure, I think episode 12 was the last positive reaction we are getting lol. Good run guys :b, I get more excited for the FMAB reactions I need more ;D

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>110894641

Well honestly I do believe they will like what happens after that "certain event" ... SPOILER HINT : Because they like hopeful things and they like when people get together for the greater good, that kind of stuff ... There are still many interesting human scenarios ahead I'm sure they will love.

Stefan
>>110885826

They skimmed through season 3. The entirety of the watchthrough of season 3 was them rambling on about what they thought the show was about, and then maybe watch 5 minutes of whatever episode was currently on during their ramblings. Anyway I'm really enjoying their season 4 watchalongs, which is why I'm back on Patreon again. They are much more focused on what's going on, so even if they don't like it, at least they don't like it for the right reasons. They're also right imo about getting mad with what the show is currently portraying as the truth about Mikasa. But then again, you know, the only truth is there is no truth. My worry is them alluding to something that might happen in the future episodes, and their dislike for it. I really hope they watch it through before solidifying their opinions on it, but I guess we'll see.

Manny

Regarding Mikasa’s power, that’s how it worked for Mikasa when her power awakened. We don’t know when or how Levi’s power was awakened. Also, y’all know the big spoiler at the end regarding Mikasa so you should know there’s more than what is currently being said lol. And the Ackerman clan was discussed in season 3 during Kenny’s story that they were born to serve the king. The syringe for the Titan fluid is something used for the past 100 years or more. As shown through the story, technology has advanced outside the walls and that likely includes the Titan fluid technology. I think that y’all are back in the mode of taking certain hints in the show and saying “well that’s it. Thats the end”, knowing full well their is a lot more show left, and not being patient and letting the story play out.

Manny

Eren has become to Clarus what Erwin was to Nerdy in the earlier seasons and I think we all know how the reaction will be for the rest of the show lol

Manny
>>110891699

Lmao I just commented that Eren is to Clarus what Erwin is to Nerdy

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>110891699

Yea but I mean she keeps calling him names like a*shole, it's like she got bullied by him or something 🤣 it's honestly funny

SoyAnthony

the Into The Woods reference from Nerdy was elite! haha

MrGimmick532

I love their reactions normally but man, most reactors have questions about this stuff or say things don't make sense and try to come up with ideas about them. Instead, Clarus just loses her shit and starts yelling instead of thinking maybe there is an answer lol. And there has been a fair amount of references to how Ackerman's were amazing and different through every season...I don't get it...

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>110891699

@Jessica totally, 100% but by her tone and reaction she seemed that she took what he said to Mikasa personally 🤣 not judging just from my observation 😅

L8er Bìtch
>>110887038

Yeah in season 3, there's also one from the Jean OVA where Eren is struggling to lift one crate onto a cart, and Mikasa was carrying 3 stacked on top of each other with no effort.

david ammerman

Trust me I think everyone was disgusted by the table scene. It was heartbreaking for me lol

david ammerman
>>110890793

You know you could let them think that until things are properly explained. Just like a lot of us did

david ammerman
>>110890793

You can't watch the show then go back and tell people what they should be thinking at certain points

david ammerman
>>110885999

It's really annoying AF like bruh let them watch the show I was pissed about this shit too

david ammerman
>>110887038

Mikasa also makes grown men spin in mid air with a kick and threw Eren like 8 feet into a wall. And in the ova it just shows her doing situps and shit

Zyrus
>>110884926

@shmaimeee Literally everyone and their mother who thinks they can 'write female characters better' really mean 'I want to see strong independent wahmens who don't need no man'. As if that stereotype is fun to watch.

trashaun rhodes

They revealed the Ackerman abilities in Season 3 episode 8. Levi asked Mikasa if she ever had an awakening of sorts, and he told her how he and Kenny had an awakening as well.

Marco

Don’t be cheap with the drops Nerdy!

Filip

So you are pissed only because mikasa is asian and lead female and eren said to her that she doesn't have free will? in what universe that make sense

NB

I am a bit surprised how Clarus reacted to the Ackermann thing.

Epicastro

You guys will enjoy the re-watch much better.. things get much clear the second time. I know I did.

MBH 77
>>110890793

There’s nothing wrong with them misunderstanding something or theorising. It’s when they start criticising the show for it. When it’s just that they forgot a few things from previous seasons and they’re not really giving the story a chance and allowing it to unfold. Nerdy was fine to be honest, I’m more so on about Clarus.

Ideophagous

Clarus' reaction was hilarious! :D Good reaction though. Hope you'll continue with the rest.

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>110890793

I've started to like the reactions since s04 because I have sensed that Nerdy started to watch this season with an open mind, he still criticizes a lot which is totally fine but I can see that he changed his perspective on how to watch the show. He's being more patient. Can't say the same for Clarus. Since the basement reveal and she can't stand anything in that show anymore, she can't even be objective, that's sad because she was somehow invested before.

Armani

Hey Nerdy , here’s an episode guide Episode 16 is this season finale Episodes 17 -28 will be the new season Episode 29 is the 1 hour long special

Armani

Hey Nerdy , You guys missed the character emotional weight of both Armin having to actually throw a punch , our Armin , let alone at his best friend And Eren too , beating up Armin , it’s heart breaking to see just how how far Eren has gone .

Armani

And guys plz go easy on nerdy & Clarus on the whole mikasa slave thing, we know wassup but they won’t till a couple episodes from now

Armani

Just gonna copy n paste this question from last upload Now that your are almost done with this season Have your views on “the basement reveal “ changed anyhow ? Do you see/understand now how the basement ties into this new season ? The Basement . Is know as a gateway cuz it is literally the end of an old story and the beginning of a new story . It almost feels like an entirely different series .

Frank Decker
>>110891699

Yeah I noticed too. I'm pretty sure she's already checked out, so i dont take her thoughts at face value. She's got nothing productive to add at this point

Frank Decker

Clarus losing sleep over this show.

Mitchell Edward Newton

Can't take everything at face value with the show. It could be legit but it also reeks of pushing them away. Eren is going full heel turn but it's tough to tell what is fact or fiction or if it is a mix of both. I get how it's jarring and than scene is supposed to be but AoT does the slow reveal so it's a lot of watch and see.

MBH 77
>>110890793

Ever since S4, Nerdy’s been a lot more open and patient. He actually has been giving the show a chance and I respect that.

dubby
>>110973224

I don’t think it’s weird. Mikasa loves Eren. If someone tried to punch a loved one in the face, most people’s immediate reaction would be stopping the attacker.

Hamza Jirrari

Yeah we like Eren , what's the problem about that ?

NatureWithoutMan

i feel like the table scene is supposed to make the audience furious so idk why half of the comments are trying to like police and invalidate their response lol. like nearly the entire story is a bitter pill to swallow and it is full of sneak outs and misdirection. regularly throughout season 4 they also have talked about how much they like it. idk yall i've seen so many freaking reactions to this show and like 7 out of 10 of them are people 'consuming content' in full blown manic reactor mode... it's nice to hear criticism i haven't heard before, even if i disagree with it. at least all the haters on patreon are still paying them i guess lol.

NatureWithoutMan
>>111021298

the only thing i think they were silly about here is that levi and mikasa already had an extended conversation in season 3 about how they both had experiences where their ackermann powers awakened, and levi says kenny experienced that kind of moment too.

josh
>>111021145

He's talking about people who call themselves 'Jeagerists', it's fine to like Eren as a character but the problem is when people say they aline themselves with the fascists

Zyrus
>>111021145

Give me a better solution to the problem, then. I'll wait.

Zyrus
>>110913449

You are? With her attitude and their marriage, I'm not. If anything, it was pretty hilarious.

Moons
>>110973224

Tbf Mikasa has been protecting Eren her whole life so I think it’s kind of a reflex for her at this point (she was also about to pounce on Levi in the blimp before Armin stopped her, despite knowing that what Eren did was wrong). But I get you though

Armani

“I think last episode was the best episode of the series “ Episodes 4x19, 20 & 21 “Hold my beer 🍺 “

MBH 77
>>111115265

I have feeling they’re not gonna like those episodes because of the “magic”

Armani
>>111115265

know he won’t like episode 20 for sure but let’s see how he feels about the other 2

Armani

Wish they would drop a new episode today tho

Armani
>>110894641

Agreed , they will like that dialogue episode in the trees cooking 🥘 around a camp fire

Gu

Memories from generations ? Of what exactly does that imply , he attacked liberio because it was strategically valid , atleast from the narrative it is portrayed. I think it's cause you didn't. Really care for Eren prior to the basement but many of us watched him for years the way aot was originally intended to be watched , but his character is about hypocrisy but also tragedy , also even if we are not Eren or if u don't agree with actions he took , I think it is still understandable to not oversimplify the approach to his character and that he takes considering the variables present surrounding the situation in liberio and how people who have oppressed you for 3 seasons , we know his pain we know his grief and anger. Secondly we know what is thought provoking of incredibly scary is how his original idea was to go against the Titans and fight for freedom it seems like such a simple thing and easy thing to root for at the beginning and for three seasons the audience quickly just reaffirm their belief on that. We just blindly supported all the things Eren said ,did all his rage towards the titans , towards the warriors seemed warranted . Then what's the basement twist what happens after isn't that Eren typically goes thru a development in the conventional fashion but rather we get to see his original philosophy be extended which is morally insane and brilliant.you have a giant plot twist rather than any one particular event to reveal a new side of the character while retaining his own philosophy but still be massive yet feel natural. But then does that make many hero charcaters in other series just guys who do good shit ? I guess that would be equal as a reductio.

Hamza Jirrari
>>111115265

They're not gonna like it because of the magic & caracteres decisions . Instead of trying to understand the caracteres motives they will just judge them

Armani
>>111115265

I think for these 3 episodes they should react with a friend that’s already completed the show , to explain things to them after , especially 19 and 20 . ep 20 was hella confusing for almost everyone at first , took me some days to wrap my head around it

xlokoslayer
>>111138593

are they not uploading one today? or did they say something about later this week?

2bootay

They should really have a schedule it’s annoying to just not know when episodes are coming out I know it’s just $5 bucks but be on time with the damn videos

Marco

Come on Nerdy!

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111115265

They won't like them, they've been clear that they don't like titans action scenes, they might like other episodes tho...the one in the forest for example

Gu

It wasn't exclusively protect the king tho I think that was the original intention I think ackerman's just find a host that they feel they have to very strongly protect, and yes genetic research was done, we know know exactly how but it was done and that's how ackermans exist they are eldians, modified eldians who's memory can't be wiped. Presumably human titans that's why they are strong , also interesting note on the fluid ,my theory is it prob it can't be exposed to regular air but not sure. Tbf if it would get more specific it would be overwhelming, considering next episode maybe it could be more but the show isn't a science show , additionally but the part of the flavor of the story is intentionally trying to keep the magic in the background both to be mysterious and for other reasons we don't know yet ,but because the its is primarily about humanhood. Unlike other fantasy stories yams is trying so the magic aspects to overwhelm that in any episode. To ensure the human philosophy stays at the forefront which is a very tricky and ambitious thing to do but I think he does it very well. Also the reveals are supposed to be thought provoking , that has been a common pattern in the show a lot of times you're supposed to think about some things implying other things to be lies although not always

Gu

I don't think I agree that we haven't seen different perspectives we had Falco who represents an innocent point of view in from Marley , Udo, Gabi ,Floch, then Jean , ,Armin ,Hange with more pacifistic POV with proposals of partial rumbling.Riener too not wanting to fight vs Eren. I really don't get how that conclusion comes " this world doesn't feel real to me " . Also while cof is a amazing episode it's def not top 3 rating wise I think nerdy just severely isnt able to appreciate the variations between heartbreaking ,theamatics , more drama does not mean best. Vs other shonen eps comparing ratings between eps of not just aot but other shonen impact orieinted eps to some heavier complex eps, shows this to be true.

Gu
>>111115265

Clarus regardless has already made up her mind she's doesn't want to like the show
