Sync up for the end of Season 4 Part 1?!?

NB

Hey, a AoT Hollywood adaptation by Andy Muschietti (IT or the current Flash) is in the making. And there is a little detail literally no one ever is talking about: The guy, Greiz, who is insulting Nicolo and Sasha, had tears in his while saying all this. You can assume that he loved Nicolo or something.

Matsumoto Erkin

One minor detail you missed, when Peak said "Hi" to bunch of millitary while being escorted up stairs, you can see Galiard among the crowd in downstairs

Mitchell Edward Newton

He gets their latent powers but doesn't take new shapes. It would be interesting to see how the other titans worked like if he ate the Jaw. I think they'd rather still be 15 metres instead of tiny and fast. I'd imagine taking on the warhammers titan form would leave him with the extension cord weakness. He still gets the abilities just not the draw back of the immobile location. Also don't worry, there are no civillians in shiganshina atm. It's cleared out in one of the earlier episodes. Everyone dying here are willing and able, I guess. Relatively speaking.

Clitubis

Btw, Annie new where Eren was in S1 because Reiner told her. They literally revealed that in season 2 episode 6–the BIG PLOT TWIST. Y’all need to rewatch the show later once you’re done with it. Pieck and Galliard both sneaked into Paradis along with the rest of Marley crew. It was all part of the plan to flesh out the Founding Titan. Also, them using radios is heavily implied. The show doesn’t need to directly tell the audience every-single-aspect of the story, especially if it’s not the main point of what’s happening. I think it’s kinda nitpicky to be hung up on the radio thing.

>>111396571

Do they even read these comments? At this point I’ve just stopped correcting them. Most reactors listen to the fans and are happy for help to help them out with stuff they missed. From what I can see, even in the past correcting these guys doesn’t matter. Once they’ve made up their minds that’s it.

Mr.Atkins

It’s painful listening to their discussions. Its really funny. I’ve learned how stubborn I can be through these reactions. I keep hoping they will get better so I keep watching but they never do. I don’t mind if they don’t like the show or have problems here and there, we’re all human. No one is going to like everything everyone else does. What annoys me is the arrogance and complete lack of paying attention and thought. I’ve seen other reactors give great insight as to why they don’t like aspects of this show. These guys just laugh and say everything is magic and don’t try to put any effort into understanding or communicating with the audience so people could explain to them. And I do realize the audience turned on them and started saying mean things so that’s why they don’t read comments but it just sucks to watch such lackluster reacting and uninformed commentary.

Thicc Thanos

I think it’s MUCH stronger storytelling to reveal to the audience the airship attack as a surprise than have a scene before that where you see Pieck or Galliard radio them to come in. I don’t need to see that scene and it would completely undercut the moment. As Pieck is walking up the stairs you see Galliard in the middle of the crowd. It’s not something you have to watch several times to notice either, he’s pretty much right there in the middle of the frame. So it’s not a stretch to assume Galliard probably would radio after seeing Pieck with Erin going to the roof. My point is that explicitly having to explain stuff that you can reasonably assume would just bog down the episode. Also about the security point, the island has miles and miles of walls. There’s no reasonable way they could monitor every inch of that for intruders. Not only that but they are in the middle of an extremist takeover. The building thing is a fair point but also not everyone knows what the Cart and Jaw titans look like as humans. In fact only a handful of people would recognize them.

Minerva Ravenclaw

Super excited for the next episodes!!! Finally we're here! 😭

2bootay

It’s crazy how disconnected they are from this show I’ve watched so many reactions never have i seen ppl say the shit they say lol….aot it’s truly a masterpiece…I’ve watched so much anime but aot truly could stand next to some of the greats such as ghost in the shell (95 movie) and Evangelion

Thicc Thanos
>>111397845

Exactly they are a technologically advanced military running a covert operation… radio seems like it would be a given. While Paradise is lacking in technology you have to remember the rest of the world is relatively modern. I truly do not understand getting hung up on this point or feeling like you have to invent stuff for the show. Is assuming that a relatively modern military has radio capabilities considered “inventing” things for the show?

Minerva Ravenclaw

I think the problem with security Is that they're having problems inside Paradis itself, the Yeagerists taking control, the military is broken, Higher ups are held hostages ..m so yea total chaos, which makes it a perfect time to infiltrate or attack. Although Eren has mentioned that they spotted Pieck's titan tracks that's why he wanted Gabi's help

Minerva Ravenclaw

Also if you pause when Pieck says Hi there or something you can see Galliard in the crowd, it's like she gave him a sign. We don't know the exact details of how they infiltrated but yea they made it with all the chaos😅

Thicc Thanos
>>111400095

I don’t consider it a masterpiece and I don’t need them to feel that way or even like the show tbh. It’s just the most frustrated I get with these reactions is the super random stuff like the radio thing here. Or stuff like wondering how Galliard “magically” got underneath them when it’s shown he’s in the building and they are walking upstairs above him. It’s just because that then turns into the whole discussion instead of talking about more interesting things. And I like their reactions a lot when they aren’t harping on these random minuscule things(especially when it’s just something they missed and not an inherent problem of the show).

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111398492

They read comments tho, I believe Nerdy is very pragmatic and relies a lot on logic while watching anything. So he always questions things which I think it sucks the fun out of anything, imagine watching any fantasy show like this 😅 I would not even digest Harry Potter. But I believe he likes the story nonetheless, it's just how he perceives things, that's how I see it. He does the same in FMAB

Thicc Thanos
>>111401173

Yea the whole government and army are in disarray. But even if it wasn’t… how could they conceivably monitor miles and miles of walls with perfection? Over a span of miles only 2 people had to sneak in: Pieck and Galliard. And they have exceptionally mobile titans that would make scaling the wall very easy.

Mr.Atkins
>>111398492

Makes sense…I think I’ll just let my membership run out… on a completely unrelated note..Lmao…I just understood your screen name. Fairytail? Lol it’s so rare to run into a fair tail fan. I have to restart that anime. I forgot about it.

Luis Castro

"There's the smoke signal." Also Pieck gave Galliard a sign inside the building.

2bootay
>>111400095

I’ve never watched any of the other reactions I wonder if they are like this with Star Wars since a lot of shit don’t make sense in that show … not everyone is going to like the same things but they just get hung up on the dumbest shit ever

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111400095

Nerdy is very nitpicking also while watching FMAB, I don't know about Star Wars (also yes nothing makes sense there since Han Solo and the gang keep infiltrating everywhere 🤣 with zero sense)

Thicc Thanos
>>111401173

I mean to me it’s not just that it would be technically possible… but it’s actually way more unbelievable if they were actually caught. I mean think of the vast distances we’re discussing. And it’s just 2 people that need to sneak in. Especially in a world without cameras and modern technology?

dubby
>>111399068

They talked about it in their discord. Didn’t like the “titan magic.” Tbh, I don’t really know what they were referring to though. Porco getting memories when Reiner touched him is the only thing I can think of off the top of my head

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111399068

It's a fantasy show about people transforming to titans I mean ... maybe they meant the paths but the paths were mentioned before several times and it's part of the fantasy...

Armani
>>111399068

Wow that’s crazy , so that means they really won’t like episode 20 then damn

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111399068

Yea I mean it's not surprising, they've been saying that they don't like the "magic" aspects in this show... What baffles me that they watch Marvel and other fantasy "magical" stuff, why wouldn't they like this?

Armani

I do enjoy their reactions when they’re enjoying the show . I just wish they would stop paying attention to the wrong things.

Zyrus
>>111397845

These two are the 'I need to be spoonfed everything and refuse to consider the implications of things' reactors, and it's hilarious to watch.

dubby
>>111399068

Yeah, I just checked and they also really hated Zeke and Eren’s fake out deaths. I honestly think once they started getting berated by the fandom they became very defensive and at this point are just watching to pick it apart and point out it’s flaws, intentionally or not. I hope Nerdy doesn’t get too checked out now after 19 and all the titan stuff coming up in the next few episodes. He really does seem invested sometimes. Clarus… I dunno. She said she genuinely doesn’t enjoy the show and can’t think of worse way to spend her time. They also said they’re probably moving it to just patreon and finishing it out for us on here who paid to watch them. Attack on Titan just wasn’t a show for them. It is what it is.

dubby
>>111399068

They also came into this show expecting an air tight hard magic system. That is just not what AoT has and I have no clue who gave them that idea. I’d say the narrative is very tight but the titan powers? Hell no lol. New rules get thrown at you and you just gotta kinda role with it. Partially because we spend the show learning alongside the characters, but there’s also some silly stuff like the Reiner consciousness thing. I don’t mind it at all but it drives them absolutely insane

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111399068

So sad they said that ... I do understand the Zeke fake out death, was a bit far fetched but for the sake of the plot people can let go of such things,it literally happens in most fantasy/sci-fi stories... Yea I can see Clarus is not enjoying one bit of this anymore. My subscription ends next week I'm not going to renew it, I'm done at this point, if they continue on YT I'll check them maybe, if not then yep, it's not been a really great journey I might say😅 but yea it's not for everyone

2bootay

Lmao btw her saying the thing about the ost that’s when you know they don’t get the show the music is a big part of it .. forgot to say that in my previous comment

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111399068

They kept saying that the high expectations ruined it for them... Well at least they enjoyed some stuff, and we enjoyed some of the reactions.

dubby
>>111399068

Yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and cancel mine too. They seem like genuinely chill people, and it is sad that this whole situation turned out the way it did, but there’s nothing any of us can do about it now

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111404194

I cringed when she said that😅 the OST in AOT is a total masterpiece! People on YT are reacting to the OST alone. It's just brilliant.

dubby
>>111404194

What did she say? I haven’t really been watching the reactions anymore just lurking in the comments

Gu

The Jaw titan appeared as galliard before ... .How about rewatching before making bold derogatory statements, Some nerdy's commentary was more tolerable vs clarus. While others have explained things ,I say one thing to understand is it's more difficult for a author to take into consideration 3d aspects in a 2d plane that intuitively has less focus on detail due to NOT being live action,2D drawings character faces have less detail than 3d humans for example , the audience doesn't to attribute the same kind of attention span, where 80% of his audience prob doesn't care or actually want to hear even the details he did put in secondly , I'll say again Aot is already extremely technical for a shonen it's not a 60 min per ep live action where you have actors to retake cuts you can't redraw ..and you can't fit every little detail in an anime episode anime eps are supposed to be brazen fast and packed. Edit :t now I see you commented on 18 and 19 it's funny how you think logistics is the main point on a medium which originally took off partially because it defies logic, physics ,logistics etc shonen anime are originally about not thinking about background details because they are boring and the larger than life elements are supposed disproportionately grab the attention of the audience ,that is why other anime have them to much less detail yet still attain high ratings, (Hunter x hunter who has two eps rated higher than red wedding ) , critiques on these areas rather than the narrative are irrelevant overall even if it's interesting to acknowledge your misses many times 🤷, the only things you can critique are rules the show sets for itself that it cares about , it's like me watching a live drama screaming "omg where are the larger than life battles , powers etc why is all they doing is taking for 40 min ",also funny how clarus tries to berate this show on that but not fmab I think the problem is you not having the proper precedent degree of suspension of belief of having watched enough anime to understand how anime sets it's expectations to the audience.

2bootay
>>111404194

Not the exact words but nerdy asked if there was a live action if she would want the ost on it she said no she doesn’t even notice it in other words not important

Mason Sali-Orvald

when they compared AOT to the sequels I almost threw up

dubby
>>111404194

Umm, wow alright. I guess I can understand disliking the show, but the music? Dude.

Hamza Jirrari

you spent 10 minute talking about radio while Eren clearly said in this episode to Gabi "Call for help on the radio" and in episode 9 we saw yelena using radio to lure marley scouting ships. It's just you not paying attention and forgetting

2bootay
>>111404194

I don’t think she dislikes the music she just doesn’t think does anything for the story

dubby
>>111404194

Lmao can you imagine Reiner and Bertholdt’s reveal without you see big girl playing in the background? The music in this show elevates it to a whole new level

Gu
>>111399068

Porcor getting memories was from Eren hittinf him while being the founding Titan?

dubby
>>111399068

I’m pretty sure it was just from Reiner touching him? It’s been loosely established that there’s a chance titan shifters who touch can spark memories, Armin mentions it when he tries to touch Annie. Reiner also had a connection to Marcel

dubby
>>111399068

And this is exactly what I meant about the hard magic system with established rules lmao. Me and you both had a different interpretation of this scene. For me personally, it makes me a million times more invested in the show. I love comparing different theories and whatnot with other people. For them, it just makes the show extremely frustrating

Minerva Ravenclaw

Sorry but Armin didn't find the "well" in Marley, Yelena lured them there, the well already existed in Marley so Yelena serving in Marley under Zeke will surely know a thing or two right? And Sorry but no, the writing in this show is nothing near the Star Wars sequels... Things do function properly it's just you don't really pay attention to some details, you missed how the titan serum works in previous reactions, you missed how the Ackermans function, although it's been mentioned before in s03 (yet you keep calling them magical creatures), you still don't know how Zeke can turn people into titans by screaming and that the radius is important, and yes there are things not explained because we don't have time to watch Annie run all the way from the wall to the forest... It's up for us the audience to understand how trivial things function. If you consider this show mid then Star Wars prequels, originals and sequels should be mid as well because I can't even finish criticizing (by your logic) if I want to ...

dubby
>>111406377

They. Compared. Attack on Titan. To the Star Wars sequels? Good lord I need a minute

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111406377

Yea I just watched the after reaction discussion, they said it's like Palpatine suddenly appeared, there's no logic in this show, things just magically happen... That's why they see it as mid.

Gu
>>111399068

Yea I personally liked the soft approach as it was more omnious and slightly wonderous , but I do think the show has been fairly consistent in terms of triggers it mostly happens with founders, royals touch, or remembering etc all are fairly tieable. And memories come and go in spectrums. It also makes sense once we reach ep 21 Titans are moreso still a mysterious pseudo natural phenomena.

Epicastro

Just watched the OG Star Wars Trilogy: my take... how do aliens have the vocal chords evolve enough to speak english?? and ... why is there sound in space?? We didn´t know that in the 70s??

Epicastro

Eren Titan Explotion is the signal.. maybe lost in translation... radio comunication exists in this world.. spies happen even in the 1900-2000.. if they show you every single step of the way for each character then the show is boring.. "I wish I saw the planing before the Red Wedding" argument is cheap!

Epicastro

Peik salute casualy to the troops, to show Gallierd she was chained to Gabi... Galliard is in the shot... Rewatch is more enjoyable... can´t blame you for that one.. still love the reactions.. but I just post when I disagree... don´t take it as an attack

Filip

Why are you still assuming that this show is so simple. I think it was pretty clear that Pieck would actually never betray Marley, she is one of the smartest people out there. Marley and everyone had a plan. Not to mention that infiltrating Paradise isn't that hard. You are keep being tricked, you need to question things more, just like you are questioning armin. Not to mention that lot of things were already answered but you are still arguing about them how it is possible.

Thicc Thanos
>>111399068

@Minerva Ravenclaw Yea I canceled my subscription renewal too now. For me it’s not that they didn’t like it. It’s purely the hard headed attitude and smugness they have for being corrected about ANYTHING. They consistently misunderstand, miss and forget things. But instead of correcting it next reaction with right information they now say they “don’t care about the comments” and double down on being wrong. Talking about how they didn’t miss anything, they watch multiple times, and how “they just disagree” yet they still are repeating wrong things people have tried to explain to them seasons ago. At this point they don’t care about being right or wrong. And they have no interest in correcting things they don’t understand… so what’s the point? I was ready to finish out the series even if they didn’t like it to hear their takes(assuming they had all the correct information and were genuine). But This is probably the only thing a reactor can do which completely and irredeemably sours the whole experience. If they don’t care, why should we?

Thicc Thanos
>>111406377

I was so confused by that. I was wondering when Armin found a well. But this comment cleared it up. So they think Yelena was Armin in that episode…? Man…

dubby

Honestly, this shouldn’t be posted to youtube. It’s more civilized in here, but if they post it out there for the whole internet to see… They’re gonna get absolutely destroyed for comparing this to the sequels. None of what they’ve said has ever really bothered me, and even that pissed me off beyond belief. As much as they want to say all they’re doing is sharing their opinion, the fact is that opinion is just a constant scrutinization of the show. Everyone here likes Attack on Titan. We wouldn’t be watching reaction videos to it if we didn’t. So they are essentially coming up to the fans of this show, calling the writing lazy and cringe, comparing the level of the writing to “somehow palpatine returned,” and then, surprised pikachu face, the people who like this are upset with us? People watch reaction videos to enjoy a show they like with other people. That’s it. That’s the point of them. You do not enjoy it, Clarus’ words not mine. That’s why everything about this experience has been negative, because none of us are getting enjoyment from this. Not you from watching, or us from watching you. I have genuinely never seen reactors so disconnected and aggressive towards a show. It’s wild. I do want to make it clear that you didn’t deserve the death threats or nasty comments. Absolutely nobody deserves that. And Nerdy and Clarus, as much as I absolutely, vehemently disagree with almost everything you say, you’re chill people, please don’t take any of what I’ve said here as hate. Anyways, I’m done with these videos. They raise my blood pressure too high. Peace✌️

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111399068

@Bird 100% word by word, there are reactors that rewatch episodes just so that they can present a decent discussion and analysis for the audience. I understand if they don't have time to rewatch or even don't want to, but to keep speculating wrong things and not acknowledge the fans explanations, and keep saying "how did this happen?" just after the show actually explained it a few episodes ago...I mean yea what's the point? I also was about to finish the reactions with them even though I knew that they won't like it fully but I just needed valid arguments...

dubby
>>111406377

A lot of reactors think Yelena is Armin at first but obviously realize she isn’t when Armin blows up the port on the other side of the city and Yelena’s character is properly introduced. Hell, even Pieck talks about how she recognized the woman who led them into the trap for being a follower of Zeke. How in the world are these two so lost all the damn time?

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111406377

I'm sure they didn't get it when Pieck told Yelena about how she looked better in a goatee, they looked confused...

Thicc Thanos
>>111409981

So many times a lot of the “problems” they have are just stuff they missed. In this video alone they missed Galliard, so to them it was unbelievable when he shows up as a Titan. They thought it was Armin who trapped the titans in a well not Yelena. So to them it’s absurd how Armin somehow found that well. They missed that Eren told Gabi to radio for help, they forget that Yelena radios on the ship, so they go on a diatribe about radio as if it hasn’t already been established in this world. They forgot that it was established that Zeke was lying about the spinal fluid “freezing” thing. So it’s a problem for them that somebody didn’t freeze after ingesting it. That’s just this latest video off the top of my head. I wouldn’t doubt that there’s more in here either. This happens ALL THE TIME in all their videos. It’s wild because I consider them very intelligent, especially compared to some other reactors. But how are they still able to miss this many things with such regularity while other reactors don’t get anywhere near this many things incorrect? Like incorrect on a factual, explicitly stated by the show level? It’s no wonder they are having such trouble with the show when their knowledge has sooo many gaping holes in it.

dubby
>>111409981

This 100 percent. I’m positive a rewatch would give them a vastly different view of the show. Whether that view is good or bad, they would at least see that a lot of the stuff they think is cheap and comes out of nowhere literally does not, they’re just missing or forgetting important details. Aot is subtle in the way it does things. Just look at Reiner revealing himself and Bertholdt, it’s so casual that you can almost miss it. They’ll never rewatch it though. They made up their minds a while ago that there’s no way they could ever really enjoy this show. Side note, have you watched autosaves Aot reactions? They’re another reactor couple who write down notes while watching to have hour long discussions at the end. Might be a nice palate cleanser lol

dubby
>>111409981

Yes they really are!! I’ll never stop recommending them. Ben ripping his notebook in half during their memories of the future video is one of my favorite moments in a reaction video ever lmao

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111407733

They keep mocking how the Ackermans have "magical abilities" and one time they said that they hate when they introduce characters with magical abilities, yet the star wars movies are all about people with "magical abilities"...

dubby
>>111409981

Yeah she… really dislikes it lol. It’s funny, for the first three seasons I was mostly watching the videos for her commentary but Nerdy has been the one making these season four reactions worthwhile. Now she’s just kinda sitting there, irritated and bored, trying to find things that don’t make sense so she can criticize the show

Armani
>>111399068

Mehnn you guys are discouraging af , episode 19,20 and 21 are the best episodes of the entire series. It’s like a culmination of the entire story , “this is what everything leads up too”

Armani

Fun fact attack on titan this same season your watching , in 2021 was awarded Most In Demand Tv Series in the world right? Squid Game was second I believe. AOT became the first and only animated series to do so . I feel like they should Google their thoughts n opinions about aot. Like “Why is attack on Titan so popular” Is attack on Titan a good show ? What makes attack on titan so good /so bad? Why do ppl hate attack on Titan ? ( you won’t find many results on this ) they gonna get disappointed by their search results when they realize every result has sumn good to say about the show and it’s mostly them that has these traits

Armani
>>111415222

Exactly , most ppl problem is with how it ends at the end and they will still rate aot is on of the best things they watched . Most ppl problem is Not the narrative of the show or the character developments or it’s storytelling which is impeccable btw Or thr how’s did the horses catch up to Annie or how did the cart titan get over that wall . How did the radio etc. Most ppl pick up on the foreshadowing details , and can actually have a solid argument because they paid attention tot the right details

Armani
>>111416047

Bruh I’m literally listing examples I wasn’t even thinking of promotion 🤨 Calm down

Armani

@Nerdy in episode 9 we saw yelena use a radio to lure Marleyan ship in paradis island then eren /armin transform and capture them

Tyfighter

If you want some good aot reactions check out beauty and the beard.

david ammerman

I think his attack titan is always his base form I was wondering if he'd look different too

david ammerman
>>111399068

Oh their other episodes are out? Do I have to upgrade tier or something? Idc I love their reactions 😹

Marco

Why did y’all start the Star Wars comparisons?! Lol…

KratosRager
>>111406377

It baffles me how they’re so confused about how Zeke’s power works. It’s been explained multiple times and at one point in this episode clarus said “wouldn’t everyone freeze up if they drank the wine?”

KratosRager
>>111409981

Oh yeah it IS literally mentioned that Eren tells Gabi to call for help on the radio.

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111415222

I mean they have the right to not like the show, even if it's high rated and won many awards, but the frustration is from the unvalidated criticism they are giving, lack of attention, poor argument and annoying attitude towards the show. I sensed that Nerdy has changed his perspective in s04 and started to appreciate the story more, but no,apparently still "magic stuff" are happening, which after 4 seasons I mean if you don't expect some fantasy stuff to happen in a fantasy story then I don't know what to expect... Most things are explained and the stuff that aren't explained will be explained later, the problem is they'll probably miss the explanation like they did with previous stuff then complain how things are not explained and how there are many plot holes and plot conveniences. I agree there are some plot armor scenarios (which exist in most anime tbh) but other than that all makes sense.

Adem

If only Nerdy reacted to AOT alone it would be interesting. I really can't stand the approach of Clarus to the show.

MBH 77

Omds Clarus even dislikes the music on the show. Why is she still here when she’s gonna continuously have this attitude about everything on the show?

MBH 77
>>111404194

She’s just gone full on hate mode now. Nothing works for her on this show. Idk why she’s still reacting

Xavier Whitt

They quit the series it’s a ggs 😄

Connor Donlon
>>111415222

People are allowed to dislike the show. Just because others like it doesnt mean they can't. Do you even hear yourself?

Gu
>>111451529

@connor it's commentary , if you can't handle other people's opinions go outside I guess ?

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>111451529

@Gu no they stopped because they don't like the show obviously, if they can't handle criticism then they shouldn't be on social media.

SmoothxPenguin
>>111451529

How do you not grasp the irony of this statement? They offered criticism of a show and you guys couldn't handle it and started spoiling and ruining other reactions.

MBH 77
>>111451529

I’m not hating, it’s just a genuine question. You see I didn’t say anything about nerdy. I guess I was a bit harsh.

Sophie Bleasdale

Rewatch the scene when Pieck says hi to everyone you will spot she is signalling to an important individual in the crowd.
