Yes, Elia Martell, Oberyn's sister was married to Rhaegar (who was Dany's older brother we never saw). Rhaegar however "chose" Lyanna Stark, who was promised to Robert Baratheon, and kidnapped her. That set off "Robert's Rebellion" and that's how Robert won the throne and ended the Targaryen Dynasty.

A bullshit death for Barristan the Bold. The show really underrated the old man. This man was one of the greatest to ever walk the Seven Kingdoms - arguably second ONLY to Ser Arthur Dayne (Westeros's greatest knight). IIRC, he'd won a tournament just a few years past, taking down knights half his age. In the books, Ser Barristan actually killed some knights as he was escaping King's Landing after being dismissed from the Kingsguard. A few masked jackasses in a back alley? Negro, please.

I believe Shae was playing double-agent the whole time, or most of it, Tywin was more than smart enough to know whom Tyrion was seeing on the regular, don't need Varys and his little birds for confirmation, easier to keep tabs on Tyrion via Shae.

Didn't particularly like the way Jorah treated Tyrion but he had nothing but contempt for him and the Lannister's, also think the two actors weren't fond of one another which just added to the on-screen tension and acrimony between them, good actors know how to utilize those emotions to better the performance; players on the best teams do not all get along but as pros they understand it's the game that matters.
