Team Olly it is what it is. If he'd been spared, he'd have tried to avenge Allister and the other men who helped kill Jon. If he'd shown remorse, maybe he could have been spared, but when he saw Jon he had nothing to say and nothing but pure hatred in his eyes.

You gotta drop it please 😋🤞 Let Oly swing imo. He had wonderful mentors in Jon and Sam and he still allowed his hate to fester and betrayed the dude who was basically his older brother. He's allowed to disagree, he can even leave Castle Black, but to stab his bro? Nah. I agree though that if he had had more time with Jon and Sam and had grown into a man like them he may not have made that decision...although probably not, if you can stab a loved one over ANYTHING there's something wrong there. Ooh ooh ooh can't WAIT for the rest of this season. Totally reasonable to have episodes delayed for Brandon's vacation but MAN I'm going to be itchy waiting for the rest of this season. 🎉

Also 100% Team Olli Get Got, he had a second chance at life, and really wasn't about to ever be a normal person after what happened to his village. Was a 50/50 chance on being psycho or legendary after that trauma.

Olly had chances on chances. His resentment goes DEEP, [the actor did a great job] showing it in his eyes. If he got a 3rd chance, it would be some other mess down the road. Jon did what had to be done. :-/

I don't blame Olly. The boy was in his feels and truly believed he was doing the right thing. He didn't trust the wildlings after what they did to his people and Jon befriending them and letting them in TO HIM was a bad idea. WE know that Jon is doing right, but in young Olly's eyes he was convinced that Jon wasn't doing right. Which should bring back to memory what Sam had said to him. "Sometimes a man has to make hard choices, choices that might look wrong to others, but you know are right in the long run". Now, don't get it twisted, Olly was wrong in what he did, HOWEVER, he THOUGHT he was doing the right thing just as Alliser Thorne did.

I understood Ollie and the others point of view. From their perspective, Jon was a traitor for breaking protocol. Ser Arthur Dayne (The Sword of the Morning) was such a good dude, and widely hailed as the greatest knight Westeros ever saw. I fucks with the Reeds and the Starks, but dude deserved a more honorable death than THAT. And the fact that Ned went on to lie about it for years... And the day Jon killed Olly is the day I stopped being a Jon fan. He was dead wrong for that. Olly was a traumatized child who had OBVIOUSLY been brainwashed by Thorne. Jon was on some bullshit for that one.

Yes he had trauma but he made his decision and alliance clear when he gave Jon the final stab to the heart. With Ygrette I couldn't be at him for that because that was PERSONAL. But the rest of the Wildlings, (the moms, dads, kids and elders) didn't play a role in that. They were innocent. And Jon is always looking at the bigger picture and making choices for HUMANITY as a whole and its existence. Like Adison said- you had 3 options to keep it pushin even if you disagreed. But he took the 4th so ✌️

I wouldn’t say it makes them look stupid cause all of them had valid reasons to hate wildlings and push that hate towards Jon for accepting what they hated. Aside from Olly obviously we can assume that all of them have spent decades of their lives fighting and losing friends and comrades that may have been close to them like blood family. And as far as Olly he actually watched his family and home be brutally murdered by them. So them being forced in a situation to accept the same people they were content with hating till they died by Jon makes sense as to why they directed that hate towards them
